Minuette the Time Pony (aka The Tenth and a Half Doctor)

Over the past few weeks, I've developed a head canon revolving around Doctor Whooves. Rather than just being a literal pony version of the Doctor, I imagine Time Turner to be a clock-maker and a member of the Mayor's staff as the town's time keeper. He builds a time machine out of a desire to explore and to prove that he can.

 

But just as he finishes the machine, Derpy, delivering his mail, accidentally sets it off, sending them tumbling on their first time travel adventure. Eventually, they are able to return to their own time...sort off. They accidentally return during Twilight's coronation, meaning that to the town, they were missing for a full year. Would explain why Derpy wasn''t in S3 before the finale.

 

Timey-wimey stuff ensues from there.

 

As for Minuette? She's basically a gender swapped Time Turner from an alternate reality.

 

And yes, I know I made her mane all weird, but I had to do something to differentiate her from Lyra.

I've never actually built any head canons about Time Turner / Doctor Whooves. To be honest I don't really like the idea of time travel in Equestria. (Don't mention "It's About Time", mention "It's About Time" and you die).

 

Well okay, so it's possible to travel through time apparently (), but not with a machine. Only with unicorn powerz.

 

That said, I like your drawing as usual. Nice tie. 'Nuff said. /)
