Curious beamed at(what he took as, perhaps erroneously) the suggestion of reporting a broadcast. "That sounds fantastic! Hey, I have never been on T.V. before! Can I announce the broadcast?" Curious nodded his vigorously, as if though his excitement would hopefully transfer over to Agent Thunder and let him do the broadcast.

Midnight wasn't sure about this.  "I don't know.  If we broadcast the report, the culprits might know we are on the case and come after us.  Agent Thunder, should we tell Agent Moon what we are doing before we leave, if we are?" She asked the pegasus.

 

(OOC: Were you planning on the culprit being one pony or more than one?  Just curious.  It won't affect my character since she already assumes it's more than one person/pony)

Curious turned to Agent Midnight, "Well, hey, look at it this way, if they were to come after us, it would be on our terms. We could set up a trap for them, just in case. It's a risky maneuver, of course, but I'm sure we could handle it."

 

"Then again, I don't really think they would target us if we did a broadcast, they would probably do something less expected. Like threaten civilians." Curious's eyes widened in sheer terror after he realized what he just said. "Perhaps we shouldn't do a broadcast?" he asked far less enthusiastically.

Echo Sight sat in his office. That's about it. He sat. He wanted to use his computer but being blind and all, he can't really see the screen even with his echolocation.

 

"Agent Echo!" He "saw" the coordinator come into his office.

 

"New mission?" His ears perked up at the thought.

 

"Yes, here's the memo." The pony handed him a paper. Realizing what she had just done, she decided that she should probably just tell the agent his mission.

 

"*cough cough* The Crystal Heart has been stolen. We need you on the team that is finding the culprit and y-"

 

 

"I'll go right now!"

 

And in a blink, he teleported his way to where he could hear his comrades.

 

(Ooc: forgot to mention that Echo also has super-hearing along with the echolocation.)

Curious blinked in realization. "Oh! You meant to watch your cousin's T.V.! My bad! I thought he was some type of news pony or something. Come to think of it, I don't even know how I got that idea in my head, perhaps just wishful thinking, eh? I mean, Storm Rush doesn't even sound like a suitable name for a news pony."

 

Curious tapped his hoof to his chin. "Well, if all we want is to watch the news, shouldn't there probably be a T.V. in the base somewhere, where somepony there could communicate us some details on the report, if not in this very castle? I know this place is old and all, but they should still have some more recent communication technology installed, I know I would if I was in charge of security."

"Um... hey guys." Agent Echo came into the library. "Looks like I was off with where I heard you." He gave a sheepish grin. "So, have you guys found anything good yet?" He looked around aimlessly, for he couldn't truly see around. "Oh, I see I'm butting into a conversation," he said, giving another sheepish grin.

Agent Thunder turned and saw Agent Echo. "Agent Echo, there you are. Well, we've identified our first bit of evidence." Agent Thunder said giving Agent Echo the photo with the culprit's symbol on his clothing. "Take a look and see what you think." Agent Thunder said. 

In the Crystal Castle, Cadence looked the symbol. "I don't think I've seen that symbol before." Cadence said with a clueless look her face. Just then Shining Armor entered. "You there, stay right where you are!" He said to Agent Moon.

Meanwhile, Agent Thunder was thinking how else to find more info on the symbol besides the inconvenient trip to Manehattan.

Moon Crypt smiled rather nervously. He heard of Shining Armor's extreme dislike for changelings, and now he was going to be on the receiving end of it. Great. He tried not to look too nervous. "Hello, there, Sir Shining Armor. I am Lord Inquisitor Moon Crypt and I'm here to investigate the Crystal Heart case..."

"Hmm, I don't trust you just yet, I'll have my eye on you..." Shining Armor said as he went to sit next to Cadence to make sure she was doing alright. 

 

Cadence was holding strong. Shining Armor still had his eye on Agent Moon, for since the incident at the Royal Wedding, he vowed to never trust changelings.

"Um, Agent Thunder, sir? I don't think Agent Echo can much look at that photo." Curious his head towards Agent Echo. "Um, you can't, right? I just noticed that you, um, seem to be blind..."

 

Curious turned his head back towards Agent Thunder, an eye brow raised. "Are you alright, sir? You seem to be a bit lost in your thoughts. Are there really no T.V. sets inside of the Crystal Empire?"

"What? You never told me that Agent Echo!" Agent Thunder said with a surprised look. He then turned to Agent Curious. "For a fact, yes. There are no TVs in the Crystal Empire. Instead, a delivery pony from Cloudsdale sends them the newspaper because the newspaper and television broadcasting are in fact synced with each other. They share the same information. They even sync when breaking news strikes." Agent Thunder said as he made a newspaper appear using his electric abilities. He then opened to the first article, which was in fact a breaking news report about the missing Crystal Heart.

Curious tugged at his scarf a bit out of nervousness, then turned his head toward Agent Echo. "I have some... experience with the visually impaired, is all. You weren't really looking at any of us and based on what you said, I just kind of figured you relied more on your hearing. Sorry, if you were trying to keep that private."

 

"Okay, no T.V.'s, but quick and reliable press, I can deal with that." Curious thought to himself when Agent Thunder pulled the paper out of seemingly thin air. "And I suppose I really should get used to that kind of magic. I can probably just consult with a magical expert later if I really want to know how it works in detail."

 

"So, what's the paper say? Anything we didn't already know?"

Agent Thunder read through the paper. "It mentions that we are searching for the culprit, but unfortunately, it doesn't give any additional information. So, we'll have to keep searching for clues." Agent Thunder said as he folded the newspaper back and made it disappear back to where it was before.

"Heheheh..." He looked rather nervous under Shining Armor's glare. "Well... erm... I'm done, anyways. Unless you might know what this symbol is, sir? Or anything you may know that may help us about the case." He tried to- and was only partly successful- with keeping something that was a dead giveaway of his anxiousness, his knocking knees.

Shining Armor kind of had that "Get out and stay out" look on his face. But since Agent Moon was a member of the ESPA, he tried to show him respect, despite him being a changeling. "...ugh...I'm sorry, it's just that...that..." Shining Armor said before all the memories of the Royal Wedding flashed through his mind. It seemed as if that moment, Shining Armor was going to break, meaning have a mental breakdown, but he fought it and kept his composure. Shining Armor sighed, "Looks like I'm gonna have to trust you with this." He said looking at the nervous agent

"It's fine. I don't talk about it and nopony really asks so i dont say anything. The agency knows, but not much anyone else." Echo's ears twitch and he looks at Agent Thunder. "I can go back to the agency and get a projector or something. My magic is strong to teleport myself." He gives Thunder a grin to show that he wasn't helpless.

Agent Midnight smiled, still pacing back and forth. Known to do this when thinking on a case.  "Great Agent Echo!  I'm sure there is a projector screen or a white wall with nothing on it in here.  Would you like me to find a wall or screen for the projector?" She asked the stallions.

Agent Thunder gave a sigh of relief. He then continued to think about the symbol, how the culprit or culprits behind this crime were using it to label themselves. "Hmmm, it's a fact that mafias and other gangs rise for rebellion, but most of the gangs have been wiped by Celestia's guards and Shining Armor's patrol units..." Agent Thunder thought to himself.

"Oh, hey,  I helped bust one of those splinter cells, darn clouts were hiding in the Gryphon Kingdoms." Curious tugged his scarf and shook his head. "But that's not quite relevant, is it?" He chuckled slightly at his burst of enthusiasm at the thought of his earlier work.

 

"Wait... the symbol is at least tangentially related to Saddle-Arabia, so it could be in the realm of possibility for a foreign power to be behind this. I mean, we just assumed it was some underground, ragtag bunch of terrorists. But, a whole government could have a lot of use for something as powerful as the Crystal McGuf—" He balked at how he was about to outspokenly insult a treasured national icon"—Heart."

Echo looked back and forth between the conversation. His ears were twitching abnormally fast, trying to "see" everypony at once. After inferring that his fellow agents thought that the crime group was in Saddle Arabia,  he realized he couldn't help much due to him not being able to see the symbol."Well, um, I guess I'll just go get the projector then." The unicorn's horn glowed a brilliant white, and he teleported in a blink.

Agent Midnight looked at Agent Thunder.  "Do you think that the culprit or culprits are trying to revive a mafia or group or legend?  Most of the bad guys seem to be doing that now a days.  What were the mafia in Saddle Arabia known for? Stealing?" She asked the pegasus.

Moon Crypt smiled. "I've gotten all the information that I can for right now." He glanced at the picture, focusing, before he channeled his magic and transformed into the stallion in the picture. He used his secondary magical aura and put on the clothes- mainly, the vest that had the symbol on it. He took a picture of himself with the communicator, and then turned back into his changeling self. He nodded, seeing how close Shining Armor was to totally losing it, and then he quickly bowed and walked out. As the doors closed, he let out his breath- which he was unaware of holding- and then walked off to join the others. "Hello all." He said, nodding to the other agents.

Just then, Echo came back holding the projector with his magic. "Hey guys I found the-" He stopped short when he "saw" Agent Moon. He had never seen Agent Moon around the agency before, so he didn't even know that he was apart of it. Then again, he probably hadn't seen many agents, considering he was blind.  "Um, is there a changeling here? Or do I just need to readjust my echolocation?"

 

(ooc: I've decided that Agent Echo's special gadget(s) are smoke bombs that he keeps on a belt that is around his neck. He uses them to make others not able to see, but he still can because he uses echolocation to see.)

"Hay Agent Moon!" Agent Thunder said turning when he saw Agent Moon. "So, how'd the talk with Cadence go? Did you get anymore evidence?" Agent Thunder asked, eagerly waiting for a response. 

 

Meanwhile Shining Armor was subbing for Cadence, by using his magic to protect the Empire, while Cadence went to rest.

Moon Crypt smiled. "Yes, my echo-locating friend, I am a changeling. Lord Inquisitor Moon Crypt, at your service. Though I have no idea why Karma sent me. He could've sent one of the more Sherlock Pones type of Inquisitor." His throat flashed, and in a perfect voice of the classic detective, he said,  "But it's elementary, my dear Echo." He reverted back to his normal voice and laughed. "I didn't get anything useful- I was too busy keeping Shining Armor from going into a complete rage breakdown from the sight of me." He shook his head. "He certainly hasn't gotten over his dislike of changelings. However, I did get a detailed picture off the guy, courtesy of my biological abilities." A flash of green energy later, he had become the pony in the picture. "Tada! How do I look? I can't change my vocal cords to match his voice, seeing that I have never heard it."
