(OOC: Yeah, that's what I plan to do)

 

Agent Thunder continued to gather energy. Finally, it was ready. "Here we go!" He said as a beam of light spread out. 

 

They landed in the middle of nowhere, in fact, in the Derby Desert. "Well, that wasn't so bad eh?" Agent Thunder asked everypony else.

Echo shrugged. "I'm used to it. Anyways I'll use a levitation spell on myself, as it's a bit less confusing than flapping and twitching." Agent Echo would do anything to not put more strain on Agent Thunder. "I don't mind really. I have about as much of a magic preserve as you." He smiled at Agent Thunder, but it was a tense smile, showing that he wasn't changing his mind.

Curious noticed that despite Agent Echo's pleading to do the teleportation himself, Agent Thunder went ahead and cast the spell himself. After the initial queasiness he had to recover from after the teleportation, Curious position himself next to Agent Echo.

 

"Hey, if you are worried about how you're contributing to the team, don't. I'm the one who doesn't have any magic or fancy gadgets," he whispered.

"Yea..." He appreciated Agent C's help, but it didn't reassure him that much. He just hoped that he wouldn't mess up at his part of the mission. He realized something then. He was sulking! Echo Sight, the blind pony who never considered himself handicapped, was now thinking as if he was! Echo put on a defiant expression, twitched his ears, and looked towards the rest of the group. "I'm ready when you guys are!" His horn glowed a faint blue, almost white, and was then surrounded by the magic. He levitated off the ground, waiting for his teammates.

"Okay, just a heads up. No magic from this point on, excluding levitation. Let's head east so that way we won't be approaching it from the front. This way, we'll be able to spy and Agent Echo could do his thing safely without any interference. Does that sound good?" Agent Thunder asked.

Agent Midnight spread her wings, trying to get into the air. "I'm ready! I'll get use to the wings soon, so I might take it slow" she said as the others were getting up into the air. She looked at Agent Echo. "You sure you don't want to ride?" She asked the unicorn as he was levitating.

Curious felt a small sense of pride in getting Agent Echo to stop sulking. "Even if I have no magic or unique gadgets, I can at least help keep the team in check."

 

Curious started to flap his wings and lifted himself a few feet off the ground. "I'm not much used to flying in a group. Really hope we don't end up flying too high."

 

Curious turned his head towards Agent Thunder, "Hey, perhaps we should fly a bit low to the ground, in case Agent Midnight doesn't take so well to flight right away."

 

"Don't much want to admit that I am afraid of heights, after all."

The blind gave his fellow unicorn a smirk. "I'm fine. I'll probably drop down and run once we're halfway there." He looked at Curious. "He have more stamina than most unicorns." Echo realized he never got the uniform on. He had an idea though, and didn't think he needed to explain it to the group. His ears picked up that Agent C's voice had a slightly nervous tone, one that normal ponies wouldn't hear. "Are you ok Agent C? You seem nervous about somehing."

Agent Thunder started to head east keeping a brisk pace, but making sure not to leave everypony behind. "Everypony holding up well?" He asked making sure everypony was okay. He then used his electric abilities to take out his communicator and check the map.

Curious's head perked up at Agent Echo's question, but he was unable to make a comment before Agent Thunder had started the travelling proper.

 

"Oh, yes, I am holding up fine, Thunder, I mean, Agent Thunder, sir," Curious said in response to Agent Thunder's question, in a hastened tone.

Agent Midnight smiled at Agent Echo and lost her balance. She fell face first into the sand. She picked up her head and shook off the sand and quickly went back up.

 

"I'm doing alright. I'm getting a little better with these wings. Just a question. Are these permanent or temporary?" Agent Midnight asked Agent Thunder about her wings

"Agent Thunder said they were temporary when he gave them to me. I don't meant to burst your bubble, but alicorn status is achieved from being highly skilled in a certain magic, it can't be truly forced upon you." Echo realized he still had wings, and used the counterspell to get rid of them. He then helped Midnight, and looked at Curious. 'He avoided my question. I guess it's not my place to butt in.'

Agent Thunder kept on heading east. He planned to keep going until they were at a safe enough distance where nopony from the culprit group could see them. "Alright I think this is far enough. Let's head north." Agent Thunder said changing directions.

Agent Midnight was lifted up by Agent Echo, regaining balance quickly.  She started to get the hang of flying.  She followed Agent Thunder as they changed directions east.  "Wait, shouldn't we go towards their base?" She asked the pegasus.  Midnight saw the sun starting to go down.  Maybe we should invade camp at night.

"I think we're getting close enough where I shouldn't use my magic." Echo stopped levitating and deftly landed on the ground, already running. "Don't worry about me. Like I said I have more stamina than most unicorns." He thought very hard to the costume that Agent Moon had been wearing. His horn glowed, and the costume appeared on him, an exact replica of what Agent Moon had been wearing. "Um, could someone tell me what the color of the costume was?" He realized that he would need to get the colors right, and in the right spots, if the guise was going to be believable.

Agent Thunder descended a little to ensure Agent Echo's safety while he was running on the ground. He took out his digital map, which was installed in his communicator and checked the distance. They were less then 5 miles from the culprit's secret base. "Alright everypony, four miles until we reach the base." Agent Thunder said.

Curious let out a sigh of relief when the group collectively descended.

 

"So, what are our goals here? To only gather info, or are things going to get messy?" Curious asked. "I mean, even if we don't intend for things to go south, that's still a possibility. No plan survives contact with the enemy, after all. Do we have any sort of back-up?"

"I haven't used a lot of magic, I could probably do a mass teleportation spell if things get ugly."  The base was in plain view by now, and it was also night time. Luna protect us. "Everyone get down, and stay quiet. I'll see... well I'll hear if anyone's around." Echo's ears perked up and he listened intently. "Well there's nopony outside, and not a lot of heartbeats inside. Where are they all?"

Agent Thunder quickly got down. "Alright Echo, do your thing." He said as he waited for Agent echo to prepare himself. Agent Thunder knew that Luna was out there. "I will find some place to rest for the night. We've been at it all day." Agent Thunder said with a yawn.

Agent Midnight slowly lowered to the ground, and ran. She slowed down as she hit the ground. The unicorn folded her wings and the wings went into her body, disappearing. "Geez! How do you two fly with those things? Anyways, I can keep watch for the night tonight. I'm not really tired and I am stronger at night" she offered to the others. Knowing that she is unbelievably quick and stealthy at night, she will be able to alert them.

"Yea, yea, sure." Echo was lost in thought. Why would there not be a lot of ponies here? There must not be a lot of info if nopony was home. Unless, it was set up that way so they would skip right on by. He looked at Curious. "I'll stay up with you Agent Midnight. I'm not gonna be able to fall asleep and I need to think some things over." He twitched his ears and realized he was talking to Agent C. He now looked at Agent Midnight. "Oh, sorry," he said sheepishly.

Agent Midnight smiled. "Its ok and sure. You can stay up with me" she said, sitting down and watching the moon come up. She felt strength fill her body as she closed her eyes. She then opened them and looked into the horizon. "So, Agent Echo. How long have you worked in this agency?" She said in a somewhat whisper.

"Uh, a year?" He wasn't quite sure. "That sounds about right. I've done a couple missions, nothing as high-ended as this. What about you? How long have you been an agent?" Echo thought about what information him and his teammates would find in this base as he waited for a response.

"Let's see... now what can I do?" Curious tapped at his chin with his hoof.

 

"Can't say I am much a night pony, but I can't just go to sleep when everypony else is doing something productive."

 

He noticed that Agent Midnight and Agent Echo were having some sort of talk, in hushed tones. "Now, isn't that odd? Not that I can rightly complain, I have been wanting us all to get to know each other better this whole time, after all."

 

"Hey Agent Thunder! You need any help over there?"

"I've been in the agency for about two years, more or less. Usually with patrols around Equestria. I have done one robbery before but it was not something huge like the Crystal Empire's greatest treasure". Agent Midnight said to him. She was worried about Agent Echo going into the base as well as the others. What if one of us doesn't come out? Do we leave them? She tried to shake it off. "If you don't mind me asking, can you still see light or are you completely blind?" She asked him.
