The more I learn about EQ the better it looks.

all the misconceptions and fears are dwindling away.

 

But isn't that the pattern with the fandom? Something new comes along and first there is anger and denial..and later full acceptance.

I doubt it is going to be loved by all though when MMC aired I was shocked at how many people actually liked that so a lot more people might like it than I originally anticipated but nothing is ever liked by everyone. I think that all the pointless panic and drama will go down eventually though if it bombs it is likely we will see a spike in that for a little while before it dwindles down after everyone comes to their sense and finds out that it is just a spinoff and will have little if any effect on the show.

I have to specify: those who stay in the fandom will at least accept or ignore it. Some will 'love' it. But not all. And it will be criticized. Severly. Initial wrath and butthurt hate is always stronger. But only because there are less posts, videos, blogs or whatever about something after some time, that doesn't mean it is loved by all. It just means, that those who dislike it have dealt with it.

Regardless of how it turns out, there will still be people like me who have a somewhat negative opinion on the whole thing. It's been close to four months since Alicorn Twilight and people are still discussing it to death from both sides, so I have no doubt the same will happen with EQG. Sure, some people's doubts may be put to rest but at the same time new doubts regarding the finished product will will pop up to replace them just as fast. Whether it's good or not, you can't please everyone.
