Looking for OC Names

I've been working on a FanFic for the past couple of weeks now, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. However, one thing that I forgot to take into account was that I am absolutely atrocious at coming up with names. And I don't mean thinking up a name for an existing pony, I mean coming up with a name then creating a pony around it. I've wasted countless hours trying to think something up, so I've decided to reach out for help.

 

So, if anyone has any suggestions I could use, it would be much appreciated. It can be a name for anything, doesn't have to be specific unless you want it to be. I'll also give credit in the author notes if I can remember (if not, then just send me a message and I'll fix it.

 

 

 

Also, I realize that I haven't properly introduced myself, but I'm a bit short of time right now. I'll be out of town for a week (starting tomorrow), so I'll put one up when I get back.

So you are just looking for random OC names to make ponies out of? Well, let me get my dictionary...

 

Mystique - n. an atmosphere of mystery and veneration attending some activity or person.

Possibly some sort of CSI Pony?

 

Pharos - n. A lighthouse or beacon to guide sailors.

Possibly a sailor/lighthouse worker pony?

 

Greenfield - n. (of a site, in terms of its potential development) Having no previous building development on it.

Maybe somepony who flattens land for building?

I've got a few pony names lying around I don't know if I'll ever use. Let's see...

 

There's Mist Chaser and Lightning Nova, both names that sound to me like they'd be appropriate names for Pegasi, and Long Story, who could either be a reporter of author...or just never know when to stop talking. Hope this helps somewhat.
