gaming TellTale's Walking Dead choice discussion *MAJOR SPOILERS*

After playing through TellTale's Walking Dead one thing I always enjoyed doing is talking to my friends- who have also played the game- and comparing our choices and discussing our reasons for our choices. So I decided to make a thread here to compare our choices. In case you haven't realized yet there will be MAJOR SPOILERS to this game! You have been warned!

So let's begin with episode 1. I'll do each episode in a separate post so I don't have to write one gigantic post.

Episode 1: I decided to leave during the day since that seemed to be the most logical choice during a zombie apocalypse.

At Hershel's farm I decided to save Duck because Shawn's leg was being ran over by the tractor, and Duck was in the tractor so I figured I could save Duck turn off the tractor and go save Shawn. But sadly that didn't turn out so well.

At the Drugstore I sided with Kenny for obvious reasons.

and at the end I decided to save Doug, because after thinking for a moment, earlier it's stated that Carley doesn't know how to put batteries in a radio and I really don't want someone who doesn't know how batteries work in my group.

So everypony, what did you do in episode 1?

After finding Clementine, I decided to leave before it got dark, because it seemed to make the most sense. But on an alternate save file, I decided to leave after dark just for fun. Shawn's friend Chet isn't with him in this case.

I chose to try and save Duck, mainly because I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to help Shawn, even if I chose him first. On the alternate save file, I did try, and it ultimately ends the same way, except for Hershel acknowledging that you tried to help his son. Consequently, this also gets you off to a bad start with Kenny.

During Larry and Kenny's argument at the drugstore, I sided with Kenny, but tried to resolve the argument without yelling. Although, I'm not sure if it's possible to get a different outcome or change anything based on how the argument ends.

During the final scene, I chose to help Doug, partly because Carley's predicament didn't seem all that bad, and partly because Doug seemed to have more uses than Carley.

Ok Now to talk about Episode 2

I chopped Mr. Parker's leg off at the beginning because, I really didn't just want to leave him for dead.

later in the forest I shot Jolene because, really now, if a lady bursts out of nowhere with a crossbow pointed at my head she's going to get shot.

In the meat locker, I tried to revive Larry because, as much as I hate him I'm not going to start killing members of the group without at least giving them the benefit of the doubt and at least try to help them.

I'm in the serious minority on this one but I killed both brothers. I didn't want to risk these guys sneaking up on me in the middle of the night and killing everyone.

And finally I decided to take the supplies from the car because our group was starving and the car door was open with no one in sight so I figured whoever's stuff this is, is most likely dead.

So now, what did you guys do in episode 2?

For episode 1 I chose to leave during the day, it seemed like the best idea.

I chose to help Duck first because I felt that saving the child first was the right thing to do, I did feel awful about Shawn though.

I sided with Kenny of course because Larry did not make a very good first impression.

I ended up saving Carley because even though she couldn't work with batteries, she was a hell of a shot haha

I decided it was only right to cut Parker out of the trap, as opposed to leaving him there, although the episode's beginning isn't changed very much if you leave him, which I discovered on an alternate save file.

I chose not to shoot Jolene in the woods, mostly out of curiosity. What she was saying seemed to make Danny nervous, and I was already suspicious of him.

After getting trapped inside the meat locker, I tried to help Larry, even though I'd already befriended Kenny earlier on. Partly because I wasn't sure who to believe, and wouldn't let Kenny kill him with nothing but a possibility for evidence, and partly because I wanted to end the feud between he and Lilly.

Ever consistent, I spared both of the St. John brothers. I couldn't bring myself to finish them with Clementine watching.

I decided not to take any of the supplies from the seemingly abandoned car. The car did look like it had been left behind, but it was in the middle of nowhere, and I didn't think anyone would abandon it without being within running distance of somewhere to hide, not to mention not a single walker was anywhere nearby.

Also, I managed to stop Clementine before she ate any of the St. John family's dinner. yay.png

Episode 2 was a great one

I cut Parker from the trap because that seemed to be the more merciful option than leaving him there

I didn't shoot Jolene in the woods, because I wanted to see what Danny was going to do. He became very nervous after you found the boxes from his farm there, and he really wanted you to shoot her

When I was trapped in the meat locker, I actually had to sit and think about it, because Kenny has been my best bud through this whole mess and has saved me before, but I couldn't just kill Larry, especially not in front of Lilly and Clem like that (When I was giving him CPR and the block smashed his head, I jumped out of my chair haha)

I spared both of the St. John brothers for the same reason I tried to save Larry, I couldn't let Clem see my do that

I actually did take the supplies from the vehicle. I didn't feel very good about it, but when I looked at my group, I realized that they were on the verge of breaking. It felt wrong to try justifying taking the stuff to Clem, but it needed to be done

I also was able to stop Clementine from eating the Mark meat! :D

Okay now for episode 3.

I shot the girl in the street because that seemed like the most humane thing to do. It's at this point were I think Kenny starts to become a real asshole.

After Lilly shot Doug/Carly I still brought her with us because as Lee says, 'Leaving someone out there is the same as murder.'

I fought Kenny in the train. Not on accident, on purpose, I was getting really tired of Kenny and his bullshit and the moment I got a fight him option I immediately chose it.

Finally at the train I chose to save Omid because, his leg was broken. did anyone else notice that  Omid is running faster than Christa even though his leg is broken?

So what did you guys do in Episode 3?

The random woman at the beginning of episode 3 wasn't going to make it, and I figured shooting her before she became a walker was a sort of act of mercy. I wasn't on very sound terms with Kenny in the first place, so I was completely prepared for anything he'd have to say about it later.

When Lilly tries to shoot Ben, but winds up shooting Doug/Carley, I just didn't think it would be right to leave her behind. She was already to breaking point after losing Larry and half the group usually being against her.

I never fought Kenny, even though I was never on great terms with him in my main save file. When his family started to suffer, we got along a bit better by the end of this episode.

As the train was leaving after Lee and Omid jump from the overpass, I chose to save Omid first, mostly because 1) I wasn't sure how much time I had to choose. 2) Omid's leg was already broken from the fall. 3) Christa hasn't really done anything useful at this point, and her only interactions with Lee have been nothing but criticism.

Now for episode 4.

I shot the kid in the attic. I didn't want Kenny to relive the Duck incident again.

I calmly talked Vernon out of shooting me, since I figured it wouldn't be the best idea to threaten someone with a gun pointed at me.

I brought Clementine with me to Crawford, because I figured, what if Omid dies and he gets Clementine? I didn't want to risk that possibility.

I pulled Ben up. Even though he did stupid things, I didn't think he should die.

I showed the bite to the group. If I hid it things would have probably just gotten worse.

I searched for Clementine with a group of Christa,Omid, and Ben. Kenny didn't come with me mostly because I told him to go fuck himself.unsure.png

So, what did you do in episode 4?
