Can we have more Luna and Celestia time?

I know the writers are doing more important things, but when its season 4, I DECLARE WE HAVE MORE LUNA AND CELESTIA SISTER TIME! i just really want these sisters to socialise and spend time together. It's like Celestia doesnt want to know and on top of that, we hardly see Luna at all! We certainly didnt see at the Canterlot wedding invasion! Sorry for the ranting but do i have a point or should the writers to decide?

I think the reason why we do not see much of them together, or a theory, is that Luna is the guardian of the night, so she rests during the day and vice versa. I agree with you though, we need more sister bonding of some kind between them. It would be really neat if they did a filly Celestia and Luna episode. That was mentioned in the Twilight Hot Minute and even though that is not really canon, that does mean there is a possibility. That episode would be a great way to show that type of bonding and maybe pave the way to perhaps a more sister-like relationship between the two.

 

In the end it is the writers who decide of course and we cannot really know what they are planning. Hopefully something like this is one of those things.

That would definitely become a highlight episode of the season if they make it happen. I'm not entirely sure if they can actually work together as Celestia is usually busy all the time and Luna helps everyone in their dreams. I just love those two together, it's nice to see sisterly love from a show like this :3

I think we'll have an epic flashback-episode, dealing with how Celestia and Luna found the Elements of Harmony and ended Discord's reign over Equestria. Sooner or later. *Looks at possible season 5*

 

This could also explain their background and give them an episode that is dedicated to them. Maybe they tell the story after Discord brought it up trying to annoy them. And then they have different opinions about how exactly things happened and nearly argue but soon realize that they have more in common than they maybe think and everything works out well.

 

Or a "daily life in Canterlot-Castle" episode. Something tells me that Luna is not the kind of pony who likes to do paperworks. Just my headcanon. We simply don't know enough about her. Even though I think her characterization in "Luna Eclipsed" made it easy to relate to her more than to Celestia, because Luna simply... feels more natural, more normal than her sister.

 

I don't say that Celestia is bad or something. But she feels to me often like a too flawless presented mother. Thousand years experience and stuff, okay; but actual flaws make characters more human. And it also depends on how the flaws are presented. They have to be recognized, but also someway accepted by others at some point, to make a character really good. Maybe she needs to learn a friendship-lesson herself at some point. A kind of role reversal with Twilight and the gang. Sounds fun to me.

I would adore seeing some origin work on the regal sisters sometime. Even them working in passing I know would be difficult with there duties being of Sun and Moon. But still the writers are quite tallented storyweavers thus far I am shure they could amaze us with something.

Yes I would love to see this, Luna is just as important as Celestia and we hardly ever see her and when we do she dosen't get to say much. And though we have seen plenty of Celestia we haven't seen that much outside of her roles as mentor and ruler and even less about her relationship with Luna.

I think we need an episode with them as fillies   Luna lacks a good enough backstory and Celestia needs more development as a character for now all she is to my is a Troll

Personally, I would love to see a scene of the two of them just being sisters, letting their manes down and basically stripped of all their royal airs and formality- just talking or hanging out like siblings would.

I'm really hoping we'll see more of them in season 4. I would think Twilight would need to interact with them a bit more now that she's a princess. Hopefully we'll see more of Cadence too - all three of them could use some major character development.

Yea, more Celestia + Luna episodes...there isn't enough of them.Just to give more of a background to them and see how they go about their daily lives.And the mane 6 would have minimal appearance in the episode. Maybe go meet with Cadance and Shining or something.

They will probably have a Luna and Celestia episode in Season 4, but the writers need to have the idea to write it. So, I say that we need it in Season Four.
