Draco glared at the downed survivor. He walked to the lone zebra. "Where is that griffin taking her," Draco commanded with venom in his voice. "If you don't tell me right now I will torture you till I break you," Draco said with a scathing voice as his anger deep in check.

The Zebra looked at Draco with a smile on his muzzle.

"You really want to know don't you?"

The zebra laughed and continued,

"The Mercenary took your wife back to our tribe. If only a short distance away. About three miles ahead. Though, if you go: your death awaits." He said.

The sun shone bright on the bloodied sands. The Zebra took his last breath as his body fell limp. Blood trickled out of his ears and his mouth.

Draco's eyes narrowed as he took flight. He left the survivors of the courier guild to go to the Heshema tribe with direct directions. He was going to deal with this himself. He flew after the mercenary His face grim as he saw the tribe and landed. "Where is Delia!" he dammanded

The gryphon carrying Delia could be seen mulling around. His ears perked up when he heard the familiar shout of the Pegasus pony.

"So I see you finally arrived. The boss is waiting for you." He said.

The rival tribe's settlement was littered with tents belonging to the mercenaries. A rock wall surrounded the settlement. Three larger gryphons stood behind Draco, looking intimidating.

"Come now, don't keep him waiting. No telling what kind of torturous things he's doing to your wife."  The gryphon said as he started making his way to the biggest tent.

Draco growled as he walked to the tent. He glared at the griffins with a death glare. He walked into the tent and glared at his brother Reyo. "I see your still alive," Draco said with a cold tone. "Still can't beat me after the Manehatten incident so you hired griffins to do your dirty work?" Draco taunted.

 

"Shut up," Reyo said childishly as he looked at his younger brother with distain.

A gryphon came to the side of Reyo with ruffled feathers, He had a few blood splatters across his chest as well as an open wound.

"She's a tough one boss. You want us to keep her in the cage?" The gryphon said, not paying attention the Draco.

 

 

Meanwhile, Delia had been lying on ground in pain. She had survived a barrage of attacks from gryphons as well as a feww suffs with the rival tribes surviving members.

Draco said plainly and clearly "Let her go before I mount every one of your F*yay*king heads on my wall," He flared his wings as did Reyo and Reyo said with a slight tone "No let her go and see how weak her husband really is," Draco and Reyo collided in an attempt to hurt eachother. The two brothers were once very close yet now seemed like mortal enemies.

The gryphons could only stand back and watch as the two exchanged blows. Some were chanting for their boss, Reyo, to win the fight. Others remarked on the fighting style of the other Pegasus.

"Look, it looks like Reyo taught him."

"Master against pupil eh? We all know how that turns out."

"I wonder what the boss is going to do with the body when he wins."
"Who cares about the body? What about that pathetic group that call themselves a guild?"

"Pathetic isn't it Reyo they actually think you taught me how to fight," Draco said with a chuckle as they circled eachother like two lions ready to pounce. What the griffins didn't know was they the courier guild itself brought in it's best stealth fighters. They were silently digging underneath the sand. Draco unbeknownst to him he was the distraction.

The gryphons continued watching, smiling as the two tangled. The natives of the settlement looked on, conflicted at the sight in front of them. They knew that the red Pegasus was fighting for love, something that all Zebra's did. They fought for the love of their tribe, the love of their brothers and sisters, and for the love of the land. On the other hoof, they were promised many things by the other Pegasus. Things that could make them the dominant tribe, things that could help them survive.

 

Delia fought back the pain of the wound on her chest. She had lost a lot of blood but she knew she had to survive for Draco and for her tribe.

Draco smiled as he heard mutterings "You lied to them didn't you brother," He said as he landed a heavy haymaker onto Reyo's head that caused the older brother to back away "That you lie, you cheat, and you steal. You said you would save their little tribe. Promised to save their little souls but we know better don't we," Draco said as he sliced into his brother's  side. "Tell then how you killed a tribe just for their land," Draco commanded.

 

"It's true it's all true," Reyo said with a pain voice as he back away from his brother's vicious assault

The rival tribe all gasped as they heard the words. They soon grew angry and began talking among themselves.

"What?!"

"I knew we shouldn't have trusted an outsider!"

"But we were promised a nirvana!"

"I say we get rid of all these outsiders."

The gryphons heard the chatter and quickly got into fighting positions. They realized their little set-up was blown thanks to the red Pegasus. They soon charged at the Tribe members, who were already tired from before.

From underneath the griffins the guild  members ambushed them dragging then under. Draco spoke to the zebras in their tongue "Zebras I am Draco O'Malley of O'Malley exotic imports and exports. I offer you this. I will give you sanctuary just like I'm offering the Heshema tribe will you take it or will you let your distrust for one pony's actions taint your view of each one of the other race," Draco looks around as he drove off his brother with a glare. He walked to Delia and placed a healing talisman onto her. "This will hurt Mia Amore," he whispered into her ear gently as the talisman worked it's magic on her.

The rival Zebras looked at Draco, not sure what to say. One foal stepped in front of them all. His mane was dirty and but the colors of brown could still be seen. He looked like he hadn't eaten for weeks as flies buzzed around him.

"My elders are too proud to ask, much less take help from outsiders. As you can see our way of living needs to be changed. If your heart isn't clouded by hate we will take your kind offer. We must, however, repay you in some way." He said before coughing.

 

Delia gritted her teeth, trying to suppress the pain. She couldn't help but to let a few tears stream down her face.

"No offense Draco, but your brother is a jerk." She said with a slight chuckle.

Draco chuckled twice "No biggie. He is a coward and a liar. Anyhow aye that is why I'm doing this. I am a courier. The courier guild needs contracts to stay afloat. I can see finely woven baskets there. Well how about a trade then finely woven baskets for medicine. This first supply is for free," Draco said in zebracan. He gace a sharp whistle as the caravan came with more supplies. "Take what you need to last you a year. The caravans will be back also if the caravaners give you any trouble tell them that courier Six tells them that it's a trade. Also if you don't have any of the baskets the medicine and food will be free," Draco said once more,.

Before the little colt could speak, an older zebra mare stepped forward. She was wrinkled in the face and wore beads around her body. She carried a staff with various decorations on it. 

"We have a deal, We shall give you these baskets for medicine. We also require the caravan to come by often to make more trades. Once we get back from this travesty that took place, we will have more to trade with you."

 

Delia shot a glare to the rival tribe. She thought that they did not deserve her husband's kindness. She then turned to Draco and gave him a kiss. 

"Thanks....for coming for me. Come now, we must venture forward to our tribe. Bring them the supplies and tell them of this news."

Draco chuckled slightly "Of course. I will tell them to come by often but try not to be too reliant on the caravans you know," Draco said then felt the kiss. He planted an even more passionate kiss onto Delia. Draco placed Delia onto his back "I love you Delia and O'Malley in love is said to become stronger because he or she has somepony to fight for,"

Delia was surprised by Draco's action. She was feeling a little weak from the ordeal but she didn't want anypony to know, especially her husband. She would have rather trotted along to her tribe's settlement. She decided to let this one slide and rested carefully on Draco's back.

"Thanks, honey. We shouldn't stop for anything. No telling how my tribes doing after i was away for so long."

"Your easy to read my dear you know that? While strong your prone to great moments of pride. I shouldn't be talking but you are prideful my dear," Draco said he winced slightly as he had a broken rib. He used his last healing talisman on Delia. "How about a song my dear it'll pass the time. I guess I'll go first," he said then began to sing.

Delia swayed her head to Draco's singing.She was beginning to feel a bit tired from the days ordeal. She tried keeping her eyes open but was unable to as she fell asleep on Draco's back. The last thing Delia saw was the night sky being draped over the earth.

Draco smiled as he looked to the sky with a smile when he saw her fall asleep. He pulled out a blanket silently and carefully. He draped it over her letting her sleep. He began to hum a slight song from when his father was still alive. "Auld Lang Syne," he said slightly aloud.

The tribe was coming up in the horizon. The night soon fell and torches were lit around the settlement. A few zebras were seen lighting the torches with sticks. The night winds blew over the desert as the moonlight lit up the sands below giving off a certain sheen

Draco saw the tribe coming up with a smile on his muzzle. He turned to his sleeping fiancée. He began to hum a slight song then sang aloud. He always liked to sing while he worked. It kept him focused on his job at hand. He couldn't help himelf but playfully nip at his sleeping fiancée on his back trying to annoy her.

Delia awoke to see they have arrived at the settlement. It was just as she left it: suffering. Although, the sands beneath and the night sky made the tribe look like a paradise on Equestria. She heard Draco humming and felt his nipping at her. She didn't mind it that much since it helped her wake up.

"I wasn't out long, was I?" She asked still a little sleepy.

 

One of the settlements inhabitants trotted up to Delia and Draco. He looked at the other outsiders coming in with confusion.

"Delia, who are these ponies? What is going on? Are we being invaded?" He asked.

 

Delia simply shook her head.

"No, these are our friends. They are here to help us."

"Nope this is the courier guild. We are here to help you my friends," Draco said in the zebra tongue. one of the founders huffed and whispered to his colleague "What good are these zebras other than whores to be used and abused for our leisure. Don't you agree with me here Shiro?"
