Hookah's.. anyone tried them before?

Yar, theres a few different types too, and asking at the smoke shop, the stones are use once, return to the jar, use again later, repeat until the juices in the jar are used up.

 

pretty nifty stuff.

Also picked up an "E" cig thingy for the time being while i wait for my actual hookah to arrive.... kinda irked i beat the deadline by HOURS and it still didn't ship until today so i won't see it till weds at least :/

The "E" ones though are nice, many flavors, no tobacco, and choice of Nicotine or not, and various levels if you do want it.

not fond of the E liquid i ended up with from the store though, no bran name, tiny bottle, lacking in the flavor... want more of the Fantasia stuff, but they didn't have any, and it appears their "E" liquids haven't been released yet...

I've heard of these, so there is an option with not nicotine and no tobacco? Wow so you just get to play with the smoke, thats awesome.

Well, I smoked a regular hookah, hookah is pretty popular in here, it is known as nargile in here. I smoke it rarely, it usually changes from place to place, some places have really light and tasteless hookahs, some places have really tasty ones and some places have a bit heavy ones. There isn't a flavor that is my flavor but they all good in my opinion. There are lots of flavors like apple, aniseed, milk, cappuccino, orange etc. The place I went had a normalish quality but I heard that some places got really good quality and heavy hookahs.

Well, in fact, hookah isn't something really amazing but it is cool to go to a session with your friends. It goes well while chatting. I once smoked it while watching a football match, was pretty neat   

You can get a hookah to your own house if you are really interested but, first try it out in some place.

Shisha is the only form of smoking I've ever tried. I did it when I was about... 15, I think, because I was somehow convinced that it wasn't bad for you.

 

It wasn't anything special, to be honest. It tasted pretty nice because of the apple flavoring, but that was about it. I ended up coughing quite a bit after though, and my chest hurt for a while. I think I'd rather just have apple lollipops.  

 

I think part of the attraction is the social aspect, but I can just do that with tea and biscuits.

yup, the E Liquids have ranging from 0mg and up to 16mg if you want it.

Some just don't have any, TMK not even a choice, theres just none. One such is the aforementioned Fantasia ones, but WOW do they have flavor!

And the "Vapor" is just as smoke but with a much nicer scent and unlike smoke isn't going to cause the usual burn damage that yellows teeth and walls

 

Can't wait to try the stones and other things myself, this is really interesting stuff. Down to the point i'm half disappointed such things haven't gone into other tobacco products. But reading about, thanks to the EXTREME government crack down, it'd cause more problems than being "unregulated" as many of these are.

This also seems to give rise to the activists against all things tobacco like trying to spread lies.

 

Such as one surrounding the Vapor liquids used in the E cigs and such containing an ingredient from anti freeze.

The E liquids use "Propylene Glycol", a common ingredient in food additives, where as Anti Freeze usually uses "Ethylene Glycol" which is very toxic if consumed.

While Propylene apparently can appear in Antifreeze (to a far less extent. weaker juice = weaker product obviously), its recognized as safe otherwise for consumption, and as such by the FDA.

Hell reading up on it, apparently its used in Dog food a lot too.

I've not tried a true Hookah (yet, still waiting on it) but TMK from what i've been told, its like the aforementioned two items in that inhaling can often cause nasty side affects.

I know that if i accidentally suck in to much from my pipe it can make me slightly nauseous and light headed to say the least when i have a stronger tobacco in it.

And many cigars can do the same. Not a pleasant feeling at all after that.

Maybe I'll just stick with shisha and take my chances but stones sound promising so I'll more than likely try them as well. Let me know how they turn out.

You know what you should all try rep;lacing the base with a watermelon. there was a video on youtube that we saw and we tried it and it just amazing in so many different levels. . We usual use fruits as a head instead of the normal head too for taste and stuff

 

As for the rocks that someone mentioned we once tried them and they are kinda tastless :/

I can't remember to be honest, it was about 6 years ago now. I remember enjoying the flavor at first, then carrying for a while until my chest started hurting, and then coughing up quite a bit. It's possible that I got carried away and started inhaling too much in.

Different factors can cause the smoke to be harsher, sometimes there is too much heat from the coals or the bowl isn't packed correctly. All causes for coughing and hacking, lol.

My cousin's boyfriend is Middle Eastern and his uncle actually owns a hookah place. I remember us driving into the city last summer and when we finally got there, we just sat down, ordered a mint flavored one and a few milkshakes too. I remember after a few minutes I felt a little light-headed (but in a good way). First time I ever tried it. Oh, and because this guy's uncle owned the place, we got it all for free.

Me and a friend of mine bought one together and had the habit of smoking it roughly once every one or two weeks for roughly one year. We just went on the balcony, smoked the hookah, grabbed some beer/ something else to drink and blew smoke rings while talking about all sorts of shit. IT WAS GREAT. I have somewhat lost the interest in it though. I havent smoked for roughly 4 months now and i dont miss it at all.

So finally got my hookah in, grabbed some of the vapor stones and a couple different shisha styles (including one called "Sex Panther" as recommended by a friend)

took a few tries to figure out getting it setup correctly, but once it got going.. first thing i do is make myself sick and inhale WAY to much by mistake

 

20 min later after my head and stomach settled went back and enjoyed a bit..

 

 

the vapor stones have a nice start to them, but don't do to well after a bit... they go rather bland, but the scent they produce sticks around.

 

Shuffle them coals though.. heh, bad take if ya don't!.....

 

can't wait to get the Fantasia Shisha's though, if they're anything similar to their e hookahs still, they're like super flavored

 

oh, and going by the picture i posted in the OP, had to get some bubbles

making smoke bubbles = fun... they're a bit heavy, but nice and poof when they pop

ugh i wish... its about a 6-10 hour drive from here but money is TIGHT right now thanks to being unemployed for awhile, and hitting up some training in the fall to get a new job.... i just hope its in roughly the same area next year so i can actually make it.

Going for CNA certification, so hopefully i can get that passed and have a proper job by christmas... assuming i don't get shafted by the GiBill or state on my benefits...

i SHOULD be able to get the class paid for and about 2k in living funds separate a month, which should keep me in my house until i get the work.. 

And since its vocational, its a straight from class to the job
