Half Life 2 in all of its forms.. I found it boring, the characters uninteresting, and Alyx was just effing ANNOYING if anything.. She only got more annoying as they ramped up her necessity.. I do wish there was a mod where I could just shoot her.. and move on with the game.. half the time I didn't even notice her little prompts to look somewhere specific, and other times it was as if she was just doing the "Hey retard! look over here!" motion... It was alright in a lot of ways, but it was just another on rails shooter. TBH I think most people hyped themselves up so far for it they were just afraid to let it be less than what they hoped for (kind of like what people do for CoD these days)

they just haven't worked out the mechanics yet. Give it time. Most games start sniper free for awhile before they get the "feel" for what they're doing. Once that feel is found though they'll be sniping people out of the air without remorse.

Depends on the game. TBH they should regulate them in certain gametypes and whatnot. I.E. limit the # allowed per team. Most of the time they don't though, counter sniping, or just finding where they're hiding works just fine. Other times though when your supposed to be ATTACKING a target and half your team is sitting back sniping.. then it bugs me...

Saints Row The Third.. I tried and hated the first two. they were trash IMO. But 3 and 4 ditched the movie gangster crap and went all out insane, and 3 is an absolute blast! 4 is a bit lower than 3 though IMO since its pretty much a straight copy 3, but with super powers, and censored for no reason things that 3 had openly detailed... But all in all.. Was not expecting to like 3 after the other 2.. Also Total War Medieval 2.. I looked into the total war games and the amount of micro management always threw me off in description.. But once I got into this game I freaken fell in love with it.. I absolutely hate how everything since had dumped the total control of your empire and put most of it onto the computer to hopefully successfully manage.. They're just barely a jump away from being warcraft at this rate...

Shame its OOC atm I soooo want that to be finished! I had a blast in it, and I wasn't even doing anything during the weekend up! Hope they make private servers avail too just for fun.. we could get an MLP forums server up

That doesn't exactly sum it up, there are various kinds of RTS and RPG games. FPS RPG's like Deus Ex, fantasy RPG's like Agarest War, MMO's like Everquest or SW ToR, etc.... RTS is even more varied there days. Anything from Starcraft style base builders, to straight forward capture/hold like Company of heroes, or even empire builders such as the Total War on up to the Civilization games. These can also be historical, sci fi, or fantasy style. Hard to make a solid recomendation if ya don't know the extent of preference.. it does break it down a bit, but not by a lot.. Sonic Wind has the right idea though, and I was just gonna point that out. http://store.steampowered.com/ Steam has a TON of sales on during weekends and at random times.

hmm depends on genre.. MMO RPG sci-fi or fantasy? Also, pay, or free? FPS (First Person Shooter), tactical, sci fi,RPG, or action/arcade? Strategy, real time, world, tactical, or turn based? TPV (Third Person View) Action, platform, or puzzle? Puzzle games? RPG, turn based, old school, fantasy, sci fi? Simulation, racing, flight, space, farming, trains, life? There are TONS of things out there... Price point also would be a good thing to add. Some games are free, others are up to $100 USD... all depends.. Another important thing is, what kind of system do you have to play on. System specs are insanely important in PC gaming..

ahhh in that case I have an X52 flightstick Ace flightstick (think X52 but for Xbox 360) X360 Halo reach LE (silver ones that came with the matching console, not the funky ones you could buy) gamepads for both the console and my PC Some cheapo, analog, and better than most digital, 5.1 Surround sound for my desktop. Tis a logitech. And the digital ones suck now only due to microsoft taking control of the audio even with a sound card its just not the same.... that and so few digital sets exist for PC anymore ) Sony Digital 5.1 surround for the TV Samsung 46" 3D LED TV for the consoles (FYI I don't even get local channels so literally its for the consoles) PS3 controller for the obvious Nintendo, sega genesis, and Super nintendo controllers for my Retron. Razor Mamba Mouse for the PC TrackIR pro for flight sims and Arma (speaking of.. anyone for some Arma 3? soooo boring alone.. and worse with random peoples :/ ) Nvidia 3D Vision and of course an Acer monitor that runs 120hz to go with Tritton wireless digital 7.1 headset for the Xbox 360. no wires for this one its the ol' $300 set and contrary to belief the headset works FINE with X360, PS3, Wii U, and anything else with a fiber optic hookup. The microphone also works on PC not just the 360... stoopid people... but the sound in this headset.. omfg.. it is AWESOME!!! just annoying that MS decided to "change" the frequency for the headsets on the X1... no real reason, just so they can exploit additional peripheral sales.. would've made more sense to support the old stuff with the new, manufacture it on the cheap and keep selling them. But gimp quality so people want the newer ones. Just call it a "compatibility problem". Most people would believe that... sadly.... ) Gamecube wireless controller Atari 2600's joysticks G930 7.1 Wireless Headset ( Is it obvious yet that I hate wires?) Playstation TV (makes a great second monitor and/or small desktop TV to watch and PC game or console and browse the web... either or ) not sure if much else...

On the bonus side here, the books and Reach didn't cross to much. And for what little they did a slightly revised version of the reach book did get made. The only thing that truly got terrorized is the concept of long term career Spartans among the S3 project (S3's were cheaply made suicide squads of forced conscripts. that were given "enhanced" (see also tweaked illegally) versions of the genetic mods the S2's had. for those who don't know..) If they'd used the S1's, or ODST's it would've been fine, but with the S3's... man.. that just ruined it.... Hell, given the point in time, they could've used all S2's (Jorge was one.. so why not the others?!) and even saved themselves the task of writing whole profiles for the new spartans given the S2's didn't have much behind them.. but with this new band they needed individual histories for each one and career dates, commissions.. it made more work for them...

Oh it had a lot of good, but the things that bit me hardest were the broken lore they re-wrote (I'm a lore buff ) and the armors (I FREAKEN LOVE THE ARMORS BUNGIE DESIGNED!!! and those were doable. these new freaky armors are... just odd...they don't make any sense with all the floating pieces and exposed area's :/ ) Good gameplay, good voice work, great gfx, and the MP tweaks made it more fast paced (which is kind of a so/so deal really) for the story it worked with, it didn't do to bad. But like with the other games, you kind of need to know the books to get the story :/ and in this instance also the re-written history. Though in connectiong with the original games and stories.. it falls flat.. the retcon should've been an all new series, not a build off the original its time to let the chief go IMO. But as the series of games goes.. it was the worst in the main line.. and not a very good first entry by 343 I can only hope they either stick to their guns, or make 5 a better game. By sticking to their guns I mean not backing down on what they already created and pulling a "redo" by backtracking the art/story through in game changes to these things.. Something they essentially did in H4 with the flashback vids and such, where they showed the original S2's in this new style armor :/

Being from near the area thats easy to explain. On one side of the Genesee river, the city flourishes and cops are literally EVERYWHERE. On every corner, and with cameras on every building and lamp post... They'll go at anyone for any reason they can just to keep the area "clean". They literally don't want people stopping for a minute anywhere over there since it'd make the local area look bad. Its not as "nice" as it may appear to the tourist eye :/ But it keeps the statis quo pretty high and the politicians looking good since it houses 90% of the businesses. The above is actually pretty much the norm. They'll approach and want you to "disperse", if you don't.. well, they'll arrest you and drop charges later. But it makes them look better just doing it. Surprised this one made the news. Meanwhile on the other side of the river.. not so perty.. horrid conditions, bad neighborhoods, and NO COPS... you can go for over an hour or more before anyone shows up for anything. Its the kind of area where you can find drugs and needles in the grassy area's at any time of the day. Best to stay off the lawns over here And I mean literally find the drugs.. I've seen bags of various things, and half emptied needles... Best yet.. they have camera's in parts of these area's as well, but its questionable if they're even used or watched. The city has no excuse for any of this though, its all one city, and there are plenty of cops they can split across both halves... All in all.. this is why I refuse to live in a city. Nice to visit, but I absolutely could not stand living in one!

lol.. First, second, and third (London) entries then TBH GTA2 was the BEST imo. The co op/MP, the crazy weapons, and the fun times in LAN... back then, that game was AWESOME!! modern GTA stick to much to the literal world.. no crazy electro guns or oddly placed world locations...
