FizzyImp 1,838 July 24, 2013 Share July 24, 2013 Currently, the Skype buttons used in profiles are linked to use the call action (skype:echo123?call), and even though Skype pops up with a confirmation message, it still has the potential for some unexpected calls - particularly if users have their privacy settings in Skype set to recieve calls from anyone. If possible, I think it would be a better alternative to change these links to use the userinfo action (skype:echo123?userinfo) This action leads to a Skype popup of the user's profile that allows for people add them as a contact, which in most cases is the reason people click these buttons in the first place. An added benefit to this is that they can double check the information in the profile so they can be sure they're adding the right person. 4 "My breakfast is plotting to kill me." DarkParu 42 July 24, 2013 Share July 24, 2013 Its worse with windows 8, I love 8 but it makes you use it like a stupid mobile app with limited actual control to your settings. Without extra digging and the way it's visually displayed its just ugly.
Founder Twilight Sparkle ✨ 8,526 July 24, 2013 Founder Share July 24, 2013 That's a simple and easy "fix". Consider it done, and thanks for the suggestion! It works great on Windows 8; Microsoft isn't forcing anyone to use the Windows Store version. 1 Avatar credit: robinrain8 Signature credit: Kyoshi

Zygen 6,066 July 24, 2013 Share July 24, 2013 I agree, i really don't want to call anyone I don't actually have added, i feel weird doing so, and it just makes more sense for the skype buttons to add people of give you the options to do so, rather then randomly call them(Plus theres always misclicks.) So I agree. Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! My Oc's, Ponysona, Bella Vocal Covers Blog, MLP Covers Thread
