Hater, Closet Brony or For Fun

Today on YouTube I was messing around and then I saw this guy writing hateful comments towards mlp. I don't reply to these kinds of people but I'm always curious so I checked if they've repeatedly insulted bronies on other videos on YouTube. Most of the time they do, which makes me wonder why would you express about something you hate so badly? I mean I don't like Pewdiepie, but I don't go out of my way to insult his videos or fans. So do haters genuinely hate the the show so much that they would go out of their way to show how much they hate the show, or do they actually have an interest in the show and they just feel ashamed or embarrassed to admit it. I could understand that. When I was in grade school I'd love to collect Yugioh cards, but all the other boys I hung out with thought said that stuff was for nerds. I just went along pretending I didn't know anything about it and made fun of it just because I didn't want to the odd one in the crowd. Or maybe they make fun of the show simply because it's just fun to insult thing sometimes. Again, in grade school all of us boys used to make fun of the Jonas Brothers, simply because the were the Jonas Brothers. We'd say stuff like "did you know the Jonas Brothers are gay and blow each other?" Yeah I know it was childish and immature, but we were in 6th grade and that's what we found funny back then. Plus when you're on the Internet, people's maturity doesn't seem to shine there brightest. So what do you think? Do haters hate because they generally hate the show, they're closet bronies, or they just do it for fun?

They probably do it for a few reasons: 1. We go against the status quo of society, so ignorant people hate that and will do anything to bash it 2. They do it to piss us off. Given that they are the equivalent of dirt beneath my feet, I don't care. 3. They do it to make their worthless selves feel better. 4. Maybe closest Brony, I don't know. There is no real way to pinpoint an exact reason.

 

So, regardless of reasons, who the hell cares. 'Haters' mean nothing to me at this point. They don't offend me and they don't inspire me to defend the show, they are that stupid and pointless. People are stupid, people are going to hate what you enjoy. There are things that I don't like, but I am fairly humble for the most part, unless it really pisses me off.

Well, its different for different people.

 

Some are just to use to society sterotypes, and they see us rejecting that and dislike us for being different

 

some just are being ignorant, and haven't watched it and just feel like hating it for fun.

 

Some actually dislike it and don't understand us.

 

So yeah it depends.

It depends on the person, I think at least half the haters are either closeted bronies or are so afraid they might actually like the show that they go out of their way to hate on it as a perverse sort of way of defending their perceived masculinity. Then there are professional trolls who will just hate on anything just for the hell of it and there is a small minority that do hate genuinly hate it which is usually due to experiences from segments of the fandom that are or are perceived as being a tad extreme.

Let them hate. They're most likely doing it because they're the sort of people who just enjoy pissing other people off. I just ignore them, if you're clicking on My Little Pony links to begin with and then posting hate... There's something very fishy going on.

As has been said before, they just have their own little view of how the world should be and what they should like. They just rather push something that challenges the status quo under the rug and try and make it go away instead of accepting that it might be a change for the better.

Yeah I know wacha mean. I'm just curious why some people waste their time with this shit, ya know what I mean. You'd think they'd just get over it and do the stuff the like. I mean I don't like Game Grumps, so you know what I do...? I don't watch game grumps. Simple as that. I don't constantly go back to their channel and make fun of there work and fans, I just go ahead and watch the stuff I like to watch. And I guess you could say that people hate on it because it's supposed be for little girls, but i love Pokemon and that stuff is supposed to be for little kids, and Pokemon doesn't get nearly get as much hate as mlp, or at least from what I've seen

Yeah it depends on the person. Some may do it because they're closet bronies and don't want to be made fun of.

And some are just being jerks, who think it's weird for SO MANY PEOPLE to like a show that's meant for little girls. But we don't criticize what they like, so I would prefer if those people just mind their own beeswax and keep their opinions to themselves.

I think it depends on the person. Some might be hating for fun. Others might genuinely hate the show. They may have multiple reasons to hate it. However, I don't think a lot of them hate it because they're afraid to be open about their fandom.

I doubt haters derive fun from hating on bronies. Like, I'm sure there are a few haters who derive fun from hating on bronies, but the majority of haters likely hate bronies for other reasons. Also, no one hates for the sake of hating, as there is usually a different motive behind it like insecurity or jealousy.
