what do you think will happen to spike when he grows up? do you think twilight would abandon him? this has been something i have been thinking about for a while now. P.S.if this was allready covered in one episode i'm sorry i havn't seen a ll episodes

I think when he gets older he will leave, but live near twilight and they might visit a lot, but then again with the whole dragon code, I don't know if he's meant to serve her for the rest of his life or something.

Yeah that is kind of an interesing aspect but what if Spike started napping and covered Ponyville in smoke like that dragon that rainbow dash kicked in season 1

That is an interesting theory. Here's one thing I do know, and sorry Spikey Wikey if I hurt your feelings, there's no way he's gonna marry Rarity in the future. She is way too FABULOUS and proud of it to marry a fire breathing dragon. Everyone would run away from her for fear of her husband. I personally think she's gonna marry Fancy Pants. Plus she's too old for him. He is a baby dragon after all.

I'd guess it'd be like when Twilight becomes an alicorn. She won't leave, but she will be different and have different relations with the other ponies. However, I don't think dragons grow up normally. In one episode, which I can't think of the name, we learn that spike only grows when he becomes more greedy, and he's learned his lesson. I doubt he'll grow up anytime soon.
