"I think you should keep it. Any memories from before this must have SOME good in them. not to mention all those herbs and recipes. It would be a shame to get rid of such a valuable resource" she said before returning to Ghost. "Ive always loved the violin. Its a shame I have no musical talent at all" she laughed " terribly sorry for interrupting, I would love to hear about your past. uhh, if that was what you meant ." she said, blushing a little bit. she didnt want to sound so demanding. 

Ghost sort of snikered. "Yes, I do mean my past. And, don't worry. Nothing I'm telling you will be too major.

You could probably guess that my real name isn't Ghost. My real name is Stephan Micheals. I lost my family right after the outbreak. However, I didn't die with them. The only thing I could remember was waking up with my abilities to control the sands of the world.

I used to live with my mother, my father, and my older brother. I don't remember seeing my brother's body after the outbreak began. I figured he escaped. I'm pretty sure he's dead, though..." Ghost tried not to get emotional over the thought of his brother.

He had just gotten to the beginning of the first car before stopping, and changed his mind. Turning around and walking back into the second car where Lady previously was.

Zeta walked back to her, probably surprising her but he didn't mind.

"I'm sorry Paint, I couldn't leave you alone.."

Then he gave out another long sigh, but managed to peep out a smile. "I just cant, anymore. I've grown so attached to you that it feels like hell if I leave. Even for that second that I left this room, I couldn't stand it. It's almost that i'm saying I like you, a lot.."

Zeta started to blush a little, letting a teardrop roll from his right eye.

"But then, that would mean that I.. Painted Lady.

He gave a whisper, coming close to her ear.

"I.. Love.. You."

Lady sat there for a moment, her heart was racing and her face had turned a deep red. "Z-Zeta... I-" Suddenly her pupils began to yet again fade and the voices returned. Lady... Why did you abandon me? I thought we were a team now? A raspy, hushed voice whispered in her ear. "My sword...." She murmered vacantly as she hobbled out of the room.

"Memories, huh?" Fire Horn asked. "That's all we really are in the end. Our memories of our loved ones."

Fire Horn was now on his feet, trying to practice the forcefield spell, if he could get it rig...

"Damn this spell." Fire Horn proclaimed. "It's very tiring, in fact i'm starting to feel kind of light-headed." Fire Horn let out a small smile and collapsed onto the floor.

Grand lit up. " but theres no proof your brother is gone! he could be alive and well, and perhaps even looking for you!" she said "you cant be so sure. If I were to say what the one thing this world runs on right now, it would be hope" she said, pulling out the picture of her sister. "There is always a possibility he is still out there, and I wont rest until we know what happened to him" she vowed. sheturned to see Fire collapse, she hobbld over to him, but realized it was just a magic short curcuit if you will. They were quite common for unicorns learning new spells. " poor guy" she said, smiling a little. "Those happen to me, especially when I try teleportation spells" she told everyone else. she didnt want anyone to worry too much. he would wake up shortly

Lady sat there for a moment, her heart was racing and her face had turned a deep red. "Z-Zeta... I-" Suddenly her pupils began to yet again fade and the voices returned. Lady... Why did you abandon me? I thought we were a team now? A raspy, hushed voice whispered in her ear. "My sword...." She murmered vacantly as she hobbled out of the room.

His face would almost light up in a smile, but then he noticed something wrong with her. Lady's body went pale yet again, and she called back for the sword that she received from Zycrin. Was something up with it or..

Zeta had to investigate this, it was too unnatural for Lady to be attached to that sword unless there was some kind of spell, so hesitantly he followed her back to where she was before.

 

Lady.. What has happened to you?

 

(( By the way guys, we're about an hour away from Trottingham, in the game time it would be about 4pm or so when they would arrive. Like I said, I will announce when we come since I have something special planned out for it. ))

Ghost then remembered Trottingham. They were going there to find Grand and Fire Horn's lost families. For all he knew, Ghost's brother could be hiding out there as well. "Yeah, I guess you're right, Grand. He could still be alive. I just need to find him before he's left for the trotters. Once we get to Trottingham, I'm gonna try to hunt down my brother!"

Grand covered Fire up with a blanket and smiled at Ghost. " ive got a good feeling about Trottingham!" she said happily. She was glad she had given Ghost something to hope for. Grand managed to catch Lady in a strange trance-like state. " does anypony know whats up with Lady?" she said, hoping it was just a phase.

Zeta, concerned as he was, turned toward Grand with a frustrated face and replied. "I don't know what has happened, but she's been acting weird ever since she picked up this from Zycrin.."

 

(( At 11:30 which is like 26 minutes away in my time, we arrive at Trottingham. Be prepared! ))

Ghost then took out his journal again and added on to today's entry.

"I recently told a little bit about my past to Grand. I told her about my older brother, Christopher, who I lost when the outbreak began. She did regain my hope for finding him, though. She's always so confident and happy. When we arrive in Trottingnham, the first thing I'm doing is searching for Christopher, for I worry about him greatly."

Grand stomped her hooves " That stupid flankhead Zycrin! even after he is dead he is being a jerk! that swords gotta go" she said, looking at Lady in an almost hypnotized state. "its endangering not only her but the rest of us. Zeta, I think you should try to get rid of that thing" she said, knowing they were close, and if anyone was gonna get that away from her, Zeta had the best chance

Lady's yet again had that distant, empty look. But what was even stranger was the fact that she was speaking to voices that weren't audible to others. When she would talk to them she would appear to be holding a conversation with her self. "I'm coming...." She murmered as she came to a stop near the tip of the sword and used her magic to pick it up. "Shhhh.... It's okay now..." She soothed the posessed blade.

She questioned. She tilted her head to the side ever so slightly giving a creepy, posessed appearance. "I won't let you." She growled as she swung the sword in the air menacingly and assumed a battle position.

It certainly was something unpleasant to watch. Zeta started to hate the blade, almost wishing that he could grab it and throw it out the window, but not before Ghost had a chance to snatch it from her hands.

Quickly he turned to the other stallion, not wanting to take any risks. "Ghost, I suggest you give her back that blade before she tries to attack you. I have a bad feeling this may not turn out right."

Grand panicked and pulled Stephan back. "She's gone mad!" she whispered, watching her carefully. This was certainly not the relaxing trainride she was expecting. "okay darling, we arent going to touch your, uhh, friend. lets just put the sword down, and we can go into the other cart and pretend this never happened" she said calmly, slowly approaching lady

Lady twitched her ear as she listened into the conversation. She slowly turned to face the other ponies, she looked as distant and unfamiliar as ever. "Why? Why do you hate my friend?" She questioned. She tilted her head to the side ever so slightly giving a creepy, posessed appearance. "I won't let you." She growled as she swung the sword in the air menacingly and assumed a battle position.

Ghost was shocked at Lady. Her battle skills seemed to have increased greatly. Ghost got into his battle position and took out his knife-edged staff. But he wasn't going to hurt her though. He had a couple tricks up his sleeve. "Alright, Lady. If that's how you want it." Ghost said with a smirk.

Ghost was shocked at Lady. Her battle skills seemed to have increased greatly. Ghost got into his battle position and took out his knife-edged staff. Be wasn't going to hurt her though. He had a couple tricks up his sleeve. "Alright, Lady. If that's how you want it." Ghost said with a smirk.

"Ghost, what are you doing!? Don't try and kill her!" He yelled out, staggering in front of both of them. "There are other ways you know, but killing is not one on my mind right now."

Zeta took his battle stance as well, but cringed when he put his right hoof down on the ground.

In the distance, Trottingham was able to be seen now from its tall buildings, though it looked like there was a huge metal gate surrounding the entire place. What could that mean?

"This is enough!" she said, pushing them all away from eachother. " There will not be any forms of fighting, not here! we are almost to trottingham, and we have made it this far without bloodshed, i would like to keep it that way!" she said. "now lets all be reasonable ponies and talk this out." she said, composing herself

"Ghost, what are you doing!? Don't try and kill her!" He yelled out, staggering in front of both of them. "There are other ways you know, but killing is not one on my mind right now."

Zeta took his battle stance as well, but cringed when he put his right hoof down on the ground.

Ghost noticed the giant gate around the city as well and put the staff away. "Looks like that gate is acting as a shield. It must be meant to keep ponies in and trotters out. Guess that's why it's the safest city in the world right now."

Ghost slowly put his staff away. He just stood there in silence.

Lady glared at Ghost, her eyes began to burn bright blue flames. "Come here Ghost, my friend wants to say "hello"." She then suddenly became engulfed in semi-transparent blue flames. She then lunged at Ghost and cut a long gash along his side and landed gracefully behind him. As she landed she regained her old self as her pupils once again returned to her big blue eyes and she collapsed. The flames disappeard and the sword dropped to the floor.

"thank you" she said, regaining her balance. " now dear, lets put that silly little sword away. we are all big ponies and there are no need for swords when we are among friends" she said politely. " now, lets return to our seats. we are almost to Trottingham, and we have much to do once we get there." and with that she trotted away, not as gracefully as she would have liked, and sat down in a booth. as soon as she sat down she heard a sword cutting through and she ran at Lady with full force, knocking her to the ground. " You crazy lady!" she yelled, anger swelling through her. she took the sword with her levitation and threw it to the other ide of the cart. " I said NO more bloodshed" she stayed on top of Lady and watched her closely

Fire Horn had another dream, although this time it was not filled with guilt-inducing visions, it was just him, all alone in a big empty room.

"Hello?" Fire Horn shouted. "Is anypony here? Please let there be somepony here?" Fire Horn awoke suddenly with a hornache.

"What happened?" he asked.

Ghost returns to his seat next to Grand. "Sorry about that. I wasn't going to hurt her, you know. I had a plan to disarm her." Ghost then started to stare out the window. Trottingham looked much nicer than Appaloosa. Not a single trotter to see from a mile away.
