Stephan really wanted to get into the water. If it meant getting off of this stupid boat for a little bit, he'll take the chance.

Deciding that there was nothing more they could currently do for the engine at that current moment, Fire Horn decided to head top-side.
"Steel? You wanted to speak to me about something?" Fire Horn said.

Starburst was sitting on top of the yacht, looking into the distance, he would've sworn he could see another boat... nah, it's nothing.

"I see It would be faster to have two go down and salvage the boat, that is if we have another air tank" steel Said as he watched Missy an grand work, hoping there was another air tank so he could die as well he wanted to look for a few things that could have been on the boat

Grand nodded and smiled. "Whatever I can do" she said, determined to help. "I was getting tired of that old book anyway" she said with a slight laugh, but focused on what missy was doing. She watched carefully and attempted the spell a few times, but still hasn't gotten the hang of it

Missy smiled. "It's quite complex, but you've got to be really relaxed before it works. Here, i'll show you." Missy put her hooves equally spaced, took in a big breath and breathed out.
"You've got to see air as something you can grab, that you can hold and never let go of." A field of magic appeared in mid-air, shrunk and then went into the air tank.

Grand followed Missy's advice carefully, though the equally spaced hooves thing was a little tougher. She took a deep breath and used her magic. She just barely grabbed a hold of it and she could feel it slipping away so she quickly compressed it and put into the tank. It wasn't nearly as much as middy could do but it was something

Stephan ran down to the engine room and looked at the engine. "We could try scouring for parts on the ship, but it might not get us anywhere." Stephan said. "I would jet out to the nearest piece of land to search, but I'd probably get lost. Sibnce, y'know, we're in the middle of nowhere."

"So, what do we do now, Fire?" Stephan asked.

"There's my speedboat, in wreckage..." he added, since he couldn't make much of use of the speedboat now, it'll only be spare parts,

Following alongside Stephan, he looked towards the pony again and nodded. "Good name, but it doesn't suit you for how close you got me to burst out laughing."

Ink Drop became surprised, that none of the survivors ever heard of his name, "Really, good naem... that's all?" he asked

"Craters of Moon: Who Made Them?, The Forgotten Kingdom of Crystal... The Elements...?" he mentioned the works he had written before the outbreak, "No, I guess not, outbreak..."

 

Since they all knew what his name was, he couldn't help to ask, "I've heard several of your names being mentioned, Fire Horn, Stephan, but I don't know which who or whom nor the rest"

He walked up to the new stallion. "So, Ink Drop, huh? I saw you back at Baltimare. You're a pretty decent shot." Stephan complimented.

"Yeah... that, it was just an accident." He replied to Stephan's statement over him, "Ever since the outbreak, I don't know what happened but something inside me changed."

Zeta was still next to Ink Drop when Stephan walked up to him and spoke that. It made him smirk a bit so he added in. "So wait, you must of been that one helping out in that battle against the bandits. I thought I saw you from afar, but threw it aside as an illusion."

"Yes indeed, and that was a coincidence actually." He added

"Remember when the bandits were carrying that explosive cargo, but it exploded on them instead? Something had to have made that happen. And not just because they were terrible bandits." Stephan chuckled a little bit at his statement. "Ink Drop here must've shot the cargo and caused it to explode. Nice work, man." Stephan said to Ink.

"I didn't actually aimed at the explosies, I just aim somewhere in the air and... the rest are just blurry." He said, either it was the sudden burst of adrenal strength or the concussion that rendered him to lose some of his recent memories.

"Not bad, I did see it as well." Zeta replied with a small nod. "It would also give me a lot of trust that he's not a spy for some other group, but putting that aside since it doesn't feel right to talk about it."

It was nice to have another pony with them in case of any emergency, like so. Being a much better sharpshooter, and somepony who knew a lot about mechanics would prove very useful to try to find a cure for the trotters.

"I've been a sole-survivor, hodling up for my own, no one else." He said in a rather dry and plain voice.

Missy stomped her hooves (clapping), it was a good start.
"Your technique is a little bit off, the levitation field needs to be solid, needs to be airtight, or it could explode, and we don't want that to happen."
Missy stepped back. "I think you should have some practice, try levitating me, that's how Twilight taught me Advanced Levitation, granted, a few cuts and bruises happened but it was all fine. Go on, hit me with your best."

"Huh, even being the fact that you dropped in at the right time was helpful. I thank you for that, since even alone I cant protect everypony on this boat without help. And also, I don't read any books anymore. It became dull to me a long while back."

Zeta began to like this new pony. Maybe trying to get more from him would be a good idea, but he didn't want to risk pushing it too far.

Stephan felt a little puzzled and he just shrugged. "Well, regardless, you save us from the bandits. Thank you, Ink Drop." Stephan then walked into the interior of the boat.

"If we have another tank two o us could go down and salvage since the tank only last five min one pony will not Be enough to do a full salvage job" steel said as he rotated his injured shoulder causing a sharp pain - this will take some time to heal- he thought

Zeta turned back toward Stephan, making a funny gesture about his body language. Finally he decided to join into the conversation, but to be honest he was a little different. It didn't seem like the perfect job for Stephan to do this but still..

"Maybe I would be best suited for what we need to do. You can just tell me what needs to be done and i'll do it."

Steel flew down once he told starburst to watch the horizon for boats and he heard what stepan said " yes and while your down there if you find some metal that you could bring up can you get it for me" steel asked " if you can thank you I not that is fine now I must speak with firehorn" steel said as he walked away to talk to fire horn " we need to start watching for the other speed boat if inkdrop can get to us with one then the bandits can as well eventho I doubt the will they might try to catch us" steel saunas he walked up to firehorn

"That sounds fairly good." Zeta replied in his normal manner. "It's just that it seemed like your body, didn't quite look prepared for water... Hnn.. I wouldn't know, but the bright side is, two ponies could minimize any injuries or losses caused by some form of accident to happen."

A slight pause later, he resumed. "There may be a spare air tank if we looked hard enough. This yacht was probably owned by a rich family, so there would have to be a couple scuba gears for other ponies to go diving with."

"now now ladies, your both pretty" Grand said to the arguing boys. "It will only take longer to get another one done, and there isnt really much of a chance of finding one that isnt damaged. Now I would offer to go, but I'm not exactly going to be swimmer of the year any time soon" she said, waving her metal leg around. "If you can find another one then we can fill it, but it wont be long until this ship drifts off track, then itll only take us longer to get to Bruchelllia, and we havent got that much gas" Grand said seriously

"Well, there are downsides to both options." Stephan pointed out. "If just one of us goes down there, we'd be risking major casualties and losses, just like Zeta said." He said. "However, if we spend time looking for another tank, it may take a good while to find one. We don't have that much time."

Stephan looked at the others. "Well, let's pick our poison, guys."

Steel left firehorn to think about what he said he didn't care to hear him respond steel heard what Stephan zeta and grand was saying " did you ever think that while one goes Down the other could stay and look for another tank and get it filled then of course there are more possibilities if this happens we could fill a tank while one pony goes down and they come back up switc and go down again and we keep doing that until we have done a complete salvage" steel suggested

"I don't want to make the corporate decision here, especially since it won't be me going down there, but perhaps we have one person go down with a rope tied around them. If a problem occurs, our brave volunteer tugs on the rope and we pull them out" she suggested, looking at the other ponies for their thoights

Ink Drop's condition wasn't good enough for him to do any activities, but he was unwilling to yield to the pain. He forced him self to walk down to the engine room and tried to help with the repairs.

In the middle of his path to the engine room, Ink Drop overheard Stephan tenaciously stated that he believe he could do it but the gravity of the situation was not that simple. "Stephan... Stephan..." Ink Drop approached the stallion, walking along the deck unsteadily, "Don't risk it. And this boat need fixing real quick, one pony is enough for the job, we don't have any room for mistakes." Ink Drop said calmly, trying his best to convince the stallion and explained the gravity of the situation.

 

No more words came out of his mouth, because Ink Drop knew that Stephan could understand. And so he left and continued down in his designated path of interest. Down one the engine room, he suspected as much; all of the engine parts were still intact except for three certain parts. The fuel intake pipe, the fuel tank, and one faulty spark plug.

 

"Oh this is, getting complicated." he said to himself, Ink Drop then looked up towards Fire Horn and said, "We're gonna need dry parts."

"Unlikely, if I might say." Ink Drop's voice came in to hearing, he poked his head out from the engine room's entrance and continued, "The dock is overrun by trotters, either they apply a 'blood-disguise' there is a chance that they could catch up with us, but it is still unlikely."

Ink Drop came in to the scene, bringing up news of the engine state, "The engine is mostly intact, all we need is a spark plug, a fuel intake pipe, and any sort of material to cover up the fuel tank leak." he mentioned the items necessary for repairing the engine.

 

As the volunteers -- who ever they are... -- prepared the diving equipment, he added, "Don't dive here." with reasons unknown why he said that, or perhaps it was because that the speedboat wreckage was ten meters apart from their current location.

 

"I suggest, somepony creates a path of ice." Ink Drop continued, referring that somepony was Icy since she could froze water with her magic. "I'm just suggesting, not forcing you to take it."

"A rule in survival, take the only things that you need, but if you still have the time and opportunity, then you can make a complete salvage." Ink Drop said, giving one piece of advice that he, himself started following it after one terrible accident during the first moments of the viral outbreak, "and since that wreckage looks pretty much screwed, so don't risk it and don't waste the air tank."

Ink Drop's attention quickly shifted towards Grand Finale. He raised up his hoof pointing at the mare after she mentioned her idea, and approached whilst saying, "Yes... yes, that's good, ropes, we need a really long one." But for all that thinking and calculations, suddenly, Ink Drop started to succumb to the pain of the minor head trauma. His legs weaken making him almost falling down to the deck floor.

"I'll go." Missy said. "If you two can't agree on something like this, then i'm going, i can get the air tank filled and be down there in no time. Don't worry about me, i'll be fine. Just keep an eye on Starburst for me will you, also, Grand, training isn't over, it's just been postponed." She explained as she continued to compress air into the canister.

 

(I'm rolling a d20 whenever my characters take an action with a chance of failing.)

Trying to stay conscious, but the pain was settling in. It was a mistake for him to stubbornly woke up from his recovery state and started to do activities with good intention but it was still foolish. Ink Drop was still able to say, "You'll need weight... help you submerge... quicker. And an air bag... helps... you... float back up... after you release the weight." several cluster of words were cut by his breathing, in effort to supply an amount of air to his brain to keep it functioning, however, a body is a body, when it needs to recover, you cannot refuse. Everything was getting dim and dark, so he thought it would be best that he stick to the sides and lean against the walls.
