Fire Horn looked down at the now faceless corpse of the captain.

"What the hell is wrong with you, you did not have to kill him, we took his crew and i gave him his life. But, that's just me having morals!"
Fire Horn turned to Ink Drop. "...and don't think for one second i've forgotten about what he said about you Ink Drop. I've got my eyes on you." Fire Horn rushed over and attempted CPR on Missy, it worked, Missy expelled all the water from her lungs, but she would be incapacitated for a few hours at least. "Well, let's take advantage of this opportunity, everypony should salvage their ship, see what they had on them."

"Well, let's take advantage of this opportunity, everypony should salvage their ship, see what they had on them."

Zeta just shrugged, waiting for the barrel of his gun to cool down before pulling all the parts off from it. "You see an enemy, you kill an enemy.. I had this issue once before where we let somepony go, so it's not gonna happen ever again. I may take orders, but only the occasional few I can override and disobey."

The battle was brief, the survivors took out the unprepared bandit by surprise. All of them were dead in a matter of seconds, and as for Captain Brook, he was left bleeding out through his recently injured leg. After Fire Horn threatened the powerless Brook, Ink Drop looked at him soullessly. And said, "have you ever heard of karma?" Ink Drop asked calmly.

 

Brook spitted at Ink Drop's hoof and stated, "It won't end at me, there will always be someone like me, just like in the stories... just like in the books."

 

Then Zeta stepped in front of Brook, saying otherwise;

 

"You know, that's a bad mistake.." Zeta would reply. His rifle was still aimed at the captain's face, hoof on the trigger. "You let no enemy survive, Fire Horn. None, ever.."

So he pulled the trigger, sending out one of the bullets directly through Captain Brook's face. He didn't care about disobeying his orders, but Zeta has shot somepony at a very close range once before. And from that day, he would never let that oppertunity slip again.

 

Ink Drop looked away as that one bullet shot ended the life of Brook. He knew it was wrong to kill a helpless opponent. But he just kept quiet. And he pondered over what Brook said, and knew that that was true.

 

((Man, you guys are fast. I'll put my OC on a recovering state while I'm away... have fun and continue on.))

"I'm gonna go relax for a little bit while you guys raid the ship." Stephan said, walking his quarters in the ship. "Get Missy up and alive again. I'll be fine." Stephan walked into his room and lied down on his bed. He could still feel some of the salty sea water in his throat. The image of Zeta shooting the captain never left his mind. He didn't have the guts to kill a pony. He would always just simply knock them out. He always felt that killing was never the way to go He just closed his eyes and tried to sleep off the stinging wound in his leg and to hopefully forget the image..

(OOC: This is not a recovery state. I'm still here.)

Fire Horn sat there, levitating the sword in front of him, he didn't know what to say anymore, or do, there was this saying that he'd heard. "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." And when he looked into his reflection on the blade, Fire Horn saw just that.

-A few hours later-

 

Missy's eyes began to open a little bit, the first thing she saw was Fire Horn  standing in the corner looking at himself in a mirror-like surface.

"Fire?" Missy said. Fire Horn quickly turned around and looked shifty.

"Umm, how are you, you gave us a bit of a scare." Fire Horn said.

"I'm alright, but now i'm more worried about you, what happened, did someone die? Please tell me it wasn't Grand. She's the closest thing i have to a friend round here." Missy said.
"No, i just... i wanted this to be simple, we go to this land and find a cure or a solution to the plague." Fire Horn said. "But instead i brought my son along to see his mother almost die and his father turn into a monster."

Stephan woke up from a long rest. He got out of bed and got himself a glass of water. "Ugh. The salty sea took it's toll on my throat." He exited his quarters and walked to the medical room. He walked in on Fire Horn and Missy. "Hey, guys. How are you feeling Missy?"

"Hello, Stephan, i'm very well, thanks to you. So, i hope we got some important bits and pieces from the wreckage, for what i went through for us to get it."

"Yes, we got a few bits from the speedboat wreckage, but what we got from the pirate ship was much more substantial." Fire Horn said.

"Pirate Ship? Nevermind, i need to talk to Grand, could you guys get her for me?" Missy asked.

"Of course, Stephan, if you would follow me." Fire Horn joked.

"Whatever you say, Fire." Stephan said, with a touch of sarcasm in his voice. The two went to the pirate ship to go get Grand. As they entered, the vessel looked much more new than the group's boat, both on the outside and inside. "Well, it looks like we'll get our vessel moving again in no time. I'm getting a little sea sick, anyways." Stephan said.

Grand was studying the book. She hadn't been any help during any of this, so she focused on the book. She would be helpful eventually. " now, if I were to use this plant on a wound it would.... Help it take out the infection" she said to herself, repeating what each plant did over and over again in her head

"Um, Grand, Missy said she wanted to talk to you, i'm not sure what it's about but it seemed rather abrupt, so i think it's urgent." Fire Horn said, then turning to look through the rations the pirates had, they would soon abandon this vessel and get to Bruchellia, after what seemed like months at sea, would soon be over, and the real nightmare would begin.

Grand looked up from the book. " alright, let's go see her then" she said, putting the book in her bag. "I'm terribly sorry I wasn't able to do anything during that whole situation. Sometimes I feel the only reason I've survived this long is because of you guys" she said, head down. "I promise I'll figure out a way to help everyone"

"I'm gonna check their hold to see if they have anything we can salvage for food.' Stephan went down to the cargo hold. He found a bunch of crates filled with dried fruits and nuts. He stacked a few crates on his back, huffing and puffing. "So, Fire... how much longer... until we reach... Bruchellia?" Stephan asked.

"Well, we've had a considerable delay, but we should only be about 3 or 4 hours away at most." Fire Horn said, lifting a few boxes of looted medical supplies onto his back. "I just want this to be over with.

 

(Ghost and Fire Horn are going to talk about something, so you go and talk to Missy, it's an important plot point. Talkin' to Grand here btw.)

 

"Listen, i've been meaning to tell someone about this, and you're about the closest thing i can think of to a best friend, so..." Fire Horn said.

Grand walked over to we're missy was sitting. " fire had told me you wanted to see me." Grand said, sitting down next to her. Grand managed to get a glimpse of herself in the reflection of the water on the way so she fiddled with her hair and tail as she sat next to missy. When was the last time she had a decent shower anyways?

 Stephan was flattered. "That's very nice, Fire. You guys have become my best friends on this journey as well. When I lost Light Streak, I thought I'd never find another friend in my life. But now, I don't just have friends, but I have a family." Stephan smiled big. "So, what is it you wanted to tell me?"

"Fire Horn and i aren't exactly together anymore, we haven't been as close over the past few years." Missy said. "I haven't been able to tell Starburst, and i'm guessing neither has Fire."

"Me and Missy are seperated, we've been working through a few things, that is, until we found you guys again, it was a distraction from, well, everything really." Fire Horn explained. "I can't pick up the courage to tell Starburst either."

"Oh my... Well you simply can't hide it from starburst. He has a right to know that. What would he think if he found out from some other way besides you telling him. It would break his sweet little heart" she said sternly. " I'm terribly sorry it hasn't been working out, but this is something starburst needs to know"

"...Wow, man. So, what you're saying is that you and Missy are pretty much divorced?" Stephan asked. "Well, you need to tell the kid. When I was his age, my parents got divorced. I was sad for a while, but at least they told me, and not someone else." Stephan put his hoof on his shoulders. "If you leave things the way they are now, you're going to regret it later on. Telling Starburst might make him upset for a little bit, but at least he'll hear it from you and you'll have closure."

"I'm worried for Starburst, and how he'll react to the situation, but i don't want to tell him, because that would mean it's over between us, and i don't want it to be." Missy started sobbing quietly.

"We aren't divorced, not yet anyway, i've been putting it off for so long and so has Missy that we just forgot about it, i don't want our marriage to end though." Fire Horn said.

"We'll if you don't want to separate then perhaps you should just see what the problem is. I'm sorry, I'm not very good with relationship advice. What's important right now is sticking together and surviving, whether that means as a couple or not. We need to remember that any of us could die at any time over there, and we need to try and save equestria. If you want to separate, you will still be family. We won't be leaving each other anytime soon"

"I guess that's true, i'll speak to Fire Horn about it, i really love him, but i guess a good friends is what we needed for everything to go back to normal." Missy gestured to Grand for a hug. "You're one of my best friends i've ever had. And i'd like to keep that." Missy smiled.

"You should still tell Starburst what's going on. I'm not good with this whole husband and wife ordeal, man. Adventuring gets in the way of that. The point is, now is probably the best time for you, Missy, and Starburst to sit down as a family and talk about the situation. I mean, we're out in the middle of the ocean. None of us are going anywhere."

Grand hugged her back. " now, as soon as your finished talking to your family we need to prepare for bruchellia. It won't be long until we arrive" she said sternly. " I'm going to cram as much information into my head as possible until then" she said smiling before pulling the book if plants out again

"Good idea, i think you're right, thank you for the advice Stephan, i really appreciate it." Fire Horn said, before turning around and going to find Starburst and leading him into the room. "Grand, me, Missy and Starburst need to talk about something. I think it best we get some privacy."

Stephan smiled and nodded. He finished carrying the crates back to the ship and sat them in the cargo hold. He walked into the room where Grand was in and sat next to here. "Hey, Grand. Long time, no real conversation." He let out a few slight "hehs" "Hows this medical stuff working for you?"
