" well if you mean a phantom limb, then yes, I occasionally feel as though it is still there" she said, watching him wave his hoof around. "Missy will have that feeling much more often than I will, since its so recent" she said, turning to face zeta. "Why do you ask? Just curiosity?"

Zeta stopped waving and looked back to Grand. "More or less just curiosity. It's so interesting how there's nothing there, yet sometimes you can still feel it and end up making a mistake. Of course I have yet to experience it and hopefully I wont, but it's both cool and sad.."

Afterward, he starts to nuzzle the little nub without knowing it, but catches himself and nearly freaks out, turning his face and blushing at breakneck speeds.

Grand blushed and stood up straighter . "Oh it-it's quite alright" she stuttered, unsure how to react. "Umm, yes, phantom limbs are quite strange aren't they?" She said, quickly changing the topic. Grand blushed and stood up straighter . "Oh it-it's quite alright" she stuttered, unsure how to react. "Umm, yes, phantom limbs are quite strange aren't they?" She said, quickly changing the topic. Her cheeks were bright red. "Heh, yup I've uh, fell over a few times because of it" she took a deep breath and tried to calm herself

"Oh, okay.. It stinks to fall over, especially at the wrong time isn't it?" He turned back around and gave a giggle, but his cheeks were still red as well. "It's alright though. If you're ever in need of help from it not being there, then hop on me and i'll give you a ride. you guys did say you were going across a desert so you may get tired and have trouble on the sand."

Missy looked down at the new leg, she wobbled it a bit, it felt natural, as if this was her real leg, it was strangely the only thing she could move.
"Grand." Missy said. "I can't feel my wings, are they still there? Tell me they're still there." Missy still freaking out.

Grand laughed a bit. "No, they're still there. It just be awhile. There probably isn't much blood circulating through them right now is all" she said, touching the wings. "One of them is still pretty hurt though". She smiled at zeta. "I appreciate the offer, thank you." Missy seemed to be handling it quite well

"Here's an idea Grand, help me up, i want to try walking." Missy said. "Now's as good a time as any to get used to walking with 3 legs."

"Missy, i really don't think that's a good idea, your leg could start bleeding again." Fire Horn argued, Missy shooshed him.

"Help me up. I can do this." Missy responded.

Grand nodded, though perhaps she wasn't the greatest choice of balance. She stood next to missy as she pulled herself up. "Now a word if advice, don't depend soloy on that leg, use all of them together" she said, struggling a bit not to fall over. "Just let me know if anything starts hurting"

"Hm? Woah, Grand. You're about to fall you know." Zeta replied, walking up next to her back leg to keep some balance. "There we go, so both of you don't get hurt just in case something bad happens."

"OK." Missy said. "I can do this." Missy picked her right foreleg up and placed it forward, she then tried moving her left hindleg and placed it forward, she moved her other leg and when she got to the missing leg, she tried moving it, it moved forward, but when she tried putting it on the ground and leaning on it, she fell over.

(Remember guys, just keep swimming.)

Grand helped missy back up. "You need to use your hip a bit more now, just give it a bit more swing" she said, walking close by her. She nodded at zeta kindly. "Perhaps if we both fall it might prove to boost our confidences" she laughed a bit, watching missy carefully. "Your doing quite well though"

"Maybe, but you've already fallen a decent bit to where it just gets annoying. Here, how about I help Missy out on the other side while you hold that side? Just remember keep your balance since I don't want our kind healer to get hurt helping someone else."

Then, he walked over to Missy's right (I believe) and kept her steady for walking. "Whenever you're ready, just say the word."

Missy readjusted herself, doing what Grand said about the hip swing, she took all the steps.

"Thanks, Zeta, i'm sorry for the trouble, i just had to go and get myself bitten." Missy said, while walking forward. "Right, let me go, i need to be able to walk on my own."

"It's okay to get bitten, Missy. As long as you're still alive and well, then everything is just fine."

Afterward, he let go of her but stayed right beside just in case she were to tumble and fall. To think about it, helping out a pony with Grand isn't so bad of a thing to do and in fact can be kind of fun.

Grand stopped walking. "At least when you got bitten we where in a massive horde of them. I got bit by one measly straggler" she said, laughing a bit at herself. She was quite proud of how quickly missy was catching on. "I suppose once we all readjust it will be time to hit the desert. We don't have much time before our supplies will run out"

Steel sat at the entice to the cave watching for any trotters since he was in a state of hyper-sensitivity due to the injection he heard everything that was going on around him "keep up the good work Missy" steel said without turning around. He slowly looked left and right over and over again

Missy continued to walk about the place, feeling that she was getting faster and faster, each time she fell, one of them helped her get back on her hooves. Missy looked down at her lost leg, not feeling dread or panic, but a sense of freedom. "I hope you don't mind me keeping this leg, Grand, i know it's hard for you to walk without it."

"It's easier for me to get around without a leg than it is for you. I'll be fine, I'll just be a smudge slower than usual us all" she said smiling. "You need it much more than I do. Now perhaps we should have some food before we get going, I'll get something started" she said, grabbing some if the edible leaves she picked up on the walk here. She began cutting them up and added a few nuts from the trail mix in. "You don't suppose there's anything I could use for a dressing do you?"

"I don't think there is anything, we might have left supplies back on the boat, but that's more than a day's journey away, and Celestia knows what will happen then. We go ahead now or we die to the plague, it's as simple as that." Missy repsonded. "I'll get in on that." Missy levitated a small sphere of the stuff out of the bag, she began eating it.

He gave a little giggle and smiled, still watching her cut up the leaves and picked up a little to eat when she wasn't looking.

Missy was beginning to feel quite ill, as if she was going to be sick, she fell over onto her back.
"I shouldn't have gotten up so shortly after that, i think it best that somepony helps me walk for the foreseeable future." Missy said, her vision blurring. "We should be ready to leave by tonight." Missy unconvinced by her own words.

"It's just whatever I could scramble up, it's no home cooked meal or anything" she said, piutting the salad into seperate bags and handed it out to everyone. There wasn't much. "I just wanted to add a bit if taste, but I suppose this will have to do" she said taking a bite of the quickly made salad

Zeta quickly started to munch on the mixed salad, smiling along the way. "No no, it's perfectly fine! To be honest I've never tried to eat salad with trail mix before, and it tastes fairly good. I'm glad you thought up of this so quickly, but even so it still satisfies me."
