"I think we should save the reunion for after we save Equestria." Stephan took out the device Diane gave him all the way back from the ice cave. "Once you get to the shrine, plug the device into the machine. I'll take care of the rest." The words repeated in Stephan's mind a couple of times before fading out.

Missy turned to see Stephan, his legs were injured.

"Oh no, was that me that did with my accident?" Missy thought.

She ran over to Stephan. "What happened to your legs? Did that happen when we crashed, i'm sorry...really sorry." Missy said. "I should've been more careful than i was."

Stephan fiddled with the device and he looked down at Missy. He smirked. "A little injury isn't going to stop me. I've been through much worse than just a couple of broken bones." He said. "Don't worry about it, Missy. Let's just go finish this." He said smiling at her.

Ink snapped back to reality, he suddenly called out one name, "Fire Horn! Might I have a word with you." Ink went farther, making sure that he was pretty much distanced with the group when he had this conversation between the both of them. He was pretty much succumbing to a confusion, his mind was working overtime.

"Yes, Ink i'll be there in a moment." Fire said as he walked to talk to Missy.

"Are you OK, now?" Fire asked, nuzzling her a bit.

"Yes, i am, thanks to you and Grand, really, i couldn't be more grateful, thank you." Missy said, giving him a small kiss. Fire then proceeded to walk to Ink. "Why are we so far away from everypony? what's going on?"

"I haven't told you the full truth." Ink hesitated for a while, but instead of telling Fire Horn directly, Ink stalled with one question, "You've killed trotters, bandits, marauders, correct? How did it affect you." And Ink revealed his tremor syndrome that affected his left front hoof, he raised it up from the ground and simply waved it around, giving the illusion of him only playing with it.

"Sure, i've killed Trotters, cannibalistic zebras, i haven't been radically affected by that, the only thing that has thrown me for a loop is Starburst being killed." Fire Horn said. "Look, if you're going to tell me something, you might as well say it, instead of beating around the bush

"Okay... want me to say it?" Ink gave Fire Horn a glare, "Missy won't be the only one, there will be five others that will go in to that Shrine, six ponies that represent the elements themselves. And I bet you know who they are." Ink put his hoof on Fire Horn's chest, "You're one of them, I've seen it... and Missy right over there... Grand, Zeta, Stephan... All of you we're already together, all of you are bonded with each other as family." Ink paused, he turned away from Fire Horn, he bowed his head down, "Final act..." he said, just like in the inscription.

"I've seen what the Shrine could do, the Heters, they all died from trying to activate it and the human remains back at the cave while I was with Missy and Stephan." Ink took one long deep breath and continued, "I've sworn to steer away anypony that wishes to enter that Shrine, back before all of this since I've seen what it does... the riddles were made by Star Swirl to prevent anypony on entering."

He looked at Fire Horn again, "But it seemed that I can't stop you from getting that cure..."

Fire Horn stopped, he looked round at the group, the only other ponies he knew that he could truly call family, and if they went in there, they could save the world but lose their own lives in the process. It's something that Fire Horn didn't want to do to them, but a sacrifice that had to made for the greater good.
"No, you can't stop us, even if there's just a small chance that we'll cleanse this world, it'll be worth the risk." Fire said. "Alright everypony." Fire Horn turned to the group. "We're going in."

"I knew you were going to say that." Ink said to himself after Fire Horn went back to the group. And behind that, when no pony was looking, he took out an ancient stone piece that he had been saving for a while ever since his journey to the Shrine all by himself, "You can't die, I won't let that happen to all of you."

"Alright. Time to rock and roll!" Stephan said. He got out the device and was ready to take on the machine. He expected it to be some sort of giant mech. The technology these humans made long ago was far more advanced than what it was on Earth.

 Stephan looked over at Ink Drop. It looked like he had some kind of stone fragment. "Ink, what do you have there?"

Grand rubbed her head a bit, which was a bit site from the spell."alright, I suppose it's time we keep going then" she said, standing up and tightening her saddlebags. It wouldn't be long until they were finally there, after all this time. "Let's get a move on then" she said, looking up at the last bit if the mountain

The mountain was the last part of the journey to the shrine. once they were inside was another story altogether.

Fire was keeping an eye on Missy, just in case she had another attack of sickness.

"It's not too far now, i can see it from here." Fire said.

Before long, they had come within viewing distance of the shrine, it was surprisingly small.

"Don't let it fool you... it may be small, but it has three layers of walls inside of it and all of it has riddles." Ink explained to the group, "Yes... and I lied, I've been to the inside."

Ink looked at Fire Horn, he gave him a cue by nodding at him; telling him to tell Missy about the inscription inside his journal.

Zeta was happy as ever to see Grand once again, since she was pretty much okay after coming out of Missy's mind. He walked behind her with a smile, more or less following through her steps up to the top of the mountain.

The view was breathtaking. Seeing all the different biomes that they had to trek through felt like an achievement for how far they got, so he put a hoof around Grand looked to her.

"I'd stay here forever to look out at this, wouldn't you?"

Fire hesitated for a moment but nodded back with a weak smile.

"Missy, Ink and i haven't been entirely open with you." Fire said.

"What? What do you mean?" Missy asked. "What haven't you been open with me about?"

"Well..." Fire Horn said quietly but loud enough for her to hear.

 

 

 

"If you're reading this, then i am long gone and Faust forbid the plague has affected this noble land again, but if it has, then read carefully: the key to my machine is hidden within not something simple as a key or a device. It resides within one of my descendants, hopefully my lineage has reached you in time. I am going to send one of my children, her name is Solarus, she will be the beacon of hope for the future. "Alright zeta, I'm going to just say this and get it out in the open. I've never had any relationship besides a few schoolgirl crushes when I was young. I haven't the slightest idea how to react to anything romantic, if that us what you are trying to do" her voice then turned into a whisper. "I have begun to... Develop feelings for you but I feel just awful knowing that I feel thus way towards two different ponies" she said very quietly, her face as red as ever

Ink said as he pointed out the first riddle engraved on top of the first gate leading to the first layer of the Shrine, "I could only open this one; this one door, as for the rest, I improvised." he turned to Fire Horn and said, "We need to keep moving, Missy needs to say the answer to the riddles."

He let out a smile toward Grand, also giving out a little giggle as well. "It's alright to not know about anything of love, since that just means you get the opportunity to learn. And besides, you're talking to somepony who has enough experience to teach you so there's no worries there.~"

"Let's just get this over with." Missy said rather rudely, walking up to the shrine doors.

"Oh, I guess you're right on that one.." Zeta replied, taking his hoof off her back and followed closely behind. "I was hoping to talk to you before you went in, but I guess we cant do that now, can we..?"

He examined the strange symbols across the shrine as well, scratching his head and stood back. "I'm at a confusion too. Maybe we would need Ink Drop to help us out, since he looks like the perfect pony to do this."
