Suddenly Grand noticed something on Caramel Corns beck. "What is this?"

Caramel looked up at her, with fear. "I got bit Grandy, I got bit" Grandsface looked panicked, "No, youll be okay sweetie, I promise" She said with panic in her voice

"You werent there when I needed you, Grandy. You left me, and now im going to die" Caramel taunted, her voice changing into something different

"Its because of YOU I am going to become one of those monsters" Caramels face twisted into the face Grand remembered. the bloody mouth, the hungry eyes. Grand dropped her and backed up slowly.

"And I'm sitll walking, Im still eating. BECAUSE OF YOU" The nearly unrecognizable voice screeched.

Grands eyes filled with tears as they looked at her sister with fear. "Please, Caramel, please forgive me" She said weakly, backing up into the wall as her sister neared her

"Now you have to kill me. Kill your baby sister, the one you LEFT so you could go to an audition. THIS IS YOUR FAULT"

Grands ears were pinned back as she crouched against the wall. "Please, Im sorry!"

Stephan hesitated before hitting Light. He didn't want to do it. He was his best pal. He sucked up though, as he made a scream of regret and flip kicked Light's head off of his neck. The blood began to pour out of Light's neck and Stephan was breathing heavily. "I'm so sorry..." He said, lowering his head. But the headless Light came back AGAIN and came at Stephan with unrelenting force. Stephan got out of the way and was ready to fight his best friend. "I don't want to do this, Light... but I don't have much of a choice, do I?" The undead Light just slurred.

Starburst almost appeared angelic in a way. Projecting light across the room.
"Starburst? What are you doing here?" Missy asked.

"Your friends are suffering. It's time....to wake up." Starburst whispered into her ear. Suddenly the room was bright and everypony was unconcious. Grand was shivering so Missy jumped into her dream first. Missy appeared next to Grand.
"Listen to me, Grand, this isn't real, you need to see that." Missy yelled as the evil trotter of Grand's sister got closer.

Grand whimpered as her sister came ever closer.

"Its my fault.. Im so sorry..." she said, not taking her eyes off of her sister. "I cant do it, I cant kill you" She said, tears running down her cheeks. She heard Missys voice but she couldnt look at her. She was too engrossed in Caramels hungry, unforgiving eyes."It feels too real Missy, I dont know If I can get out" She said weakly

Missy started sounding very forceful. "Grand! Listen to me! You're strong, you are.... don't let this thing control you. Take the offensive, strike back, stand up to it!" Missy shook Grand. "Do you understand, we'll both die, if you don't kill this thing. This thing isn't your sister!" Missy shouted.

 

"Someone get me out of here!" Fire yelled as the crying and yelling became unbearable.

"Why are all of you here?" Ink said in surprise

"We're waiting for you here, silly..." Twilight replied with a giggle.

"That's right... I've been telling her about you, and it seemed you two had met before." Ink's mother said with a nice calming smile on her face.

"What took you so long?" as for Flarita, she used full force, she slapped Ink on his carpus.

"We've been waiting all day for you..." Spike added

"Well... you seemed to be having fun waiting for me, but still... why?" Ink asked one more time.

Ink felt relieved of seeing them again, and he noticed that he was actually repeating his past moment after he returned from Bruchellia, "Oh, I remember this..." he smiled happily and went with the flow. A party occurred at that time; the Royalties were there, the guards, the heroine of the Elements, everyone Ink had ever met was there celebrating what seemed to be the Grand Galloping Gala, it all made Ink forgot everything that happened in reality.

He went through the arching entrance along with his mom, Twilight, Spike and Flarita, but suddenly, everything shifted as his mind started to think about Spike holding hands with Flarita, "Spike accepting Flarita, what?" all of the environment changed, the challenge; It brought him to another new place, his home, the place that he least wanted to be.

"Oh no, not this." he could hear the guns banging out in the streets, chaos flooded Canterlot, everything was in ruins and hoof-steps, "Oh please, just not this... this is not real... I said it, it's not real, I know it, WAKE ME UP!" he yelled out even in reality, he was yelling out.

The hoof-steps came in closer, it stopped behind him. The cold fear flowed down to his spine, as he dared not to turn back, "Don't... just don't..." he said with each word cut with sniffles.

His mom was already a trotter and this was the moment where he killed her. "Mom... no... you're not real... she's dead, she's already dead!" he yelled out, whimpering in fear and sorrow

Stephan and Light fought inside of his dream. Stephan was outsmarting the powerhouse and landing in some sneaky blows, but Light's power is beginning to overwhelm the red stallion. Light knocked him down on the ground and, even without a head, began to speak to him.

"You let me die, Blast. Now you'll pay!" He spoke in a demonic voice.

Stephan kicked Light off of him "I go by my real name now." He said with a smirk. Stephan kicked Light in his torso like a truck, killing him for real this time.

"I said I'd avenge you, and that's what I'm gonna do..." Stephan said.

At that moment, he shut his eyes in the dream world. When he opened them again, he was back in reality. He noticed that he was still a human and that the others were unconscious as well.

"They must be having some sort of hellish revisit to memory lane, too..."

Grand took a deep breath. "I-i.." She didnt want Missy to die because of her. She stood up, and with a shaky voice. looked at her sister. "you arent real, You arent real,You are just my own mind" She said it, though she didnt fully believe it. She took out a dagger that was nearby. "Missy... this is so hard" She said, looking at her sister, whose eyes were taunting her. Finally she brought the dagger up over her head, closed her eyes tightly, and swung it into her sisters head. She let out a loud cry as it hit, her body shaking. She refused to open her eyes. "Just take me out of here, please" She said, her eyes still closed as her sisters body fell to the floor

Eventually, there was a light, then a bright flash as Zeta had found himself back in the hospital where he was before, sitting next to her pregnant wife. She looked towards him with a happy smile, putting out a hoof to hold.

"Hyperion.. If I ever die, giving birth... Take care of our baby.."

 

It seemed a little wrong, knowing that he was back in his old times again. But he took her hoof and rubbed it a little, giving her a kiss on the forehead as well. "You wont die sweetie, I know of it. Together we'll raise this child and have a good family, you hear? That's a promise i'll make to you, and it's one that can never break."

 

Upon saying that, he was instantly teleported out from the room and found himself down in the entrance. There was a pony who had slowly walked into the building, looking at Zeta and then turned back to the lady in the register. He pulled out a gun from his overly sized coat and shot her, then pointed it at everypony and made sure to lock the door.

From there, he was teleported back once more into where his wife was again, hearing the alarms going off within the building. She started to panic, and looked up to him. "Hyperion, what's happening.. What's going on down there!?!"

And just a second after, the bottom building exploded, feeling as it shook the building while setting it ablaze.

"Oh my god.... We're going to.."

Zeta looked to her, then opened the door and looked out. Everypony was screaming, trying to get to the nearest exit, but it was blocked and he knew it. So he closed it again and started to cry, holding her hoof once more and hoped for the worst.

 

After a bit, the building started to collapse, feeling as they started to fall from their height. He knew it would be the end, looking to her but started to teleport away again. Zeta reached out, trying to grab her but the image slowly faded into darkness, leaving him in tears.

But even so, it just kept getting worse.

 

The next memory appeared, this time with Paint and him in Trottingham. The outbreak on the walls of the trotters slowly started to build up on one side, until it collapsed, letting all of them in.

He looked to Paint, grabbing her hoof and ran to the other direction, but not until a ton of ponies had started to trample over him. It separated both from the crowd, as she was carried away from Zeta. "PAINT! PAAIIINNTT!!!"

Slowly, her image faded from all the other ponies trying to run. It left him breathless to watch in agony as she was enveloped by everyone. But even so, he was forcefully carried out of the city and dumped off outside the gates with the least amount of trotters.

Zeta was forced to run, as they came upon some ponies, attacking them and biting at their necks. A few had come for him, but he fought them off and kept running away, seeing as Trottingham had started to fade in the distance.

He lost her now, but was forced to keep going and never turned back for a split second, tears in his eyes.

 

When Zeta had gotten to a shelter out in the now looking wasteland, he walked inside and lied down. He couldn't stop crying, feeling guilty of both accidents that had happened now. He almost wanted to kill himself, seeing a fully loaded revolver on a desk that was there.

Slowly, he walked over to it, picking it up and looked at it. It was shiny, full of ammo, in working condition, and the perfect gun to kill himself with. He pulled back the hammer, moving the gun back up to his head and closed his eyes.

But..

When he tried to pull the trigger, his hoof wouldn't move. Why could it not move that slight bit, which would pull the trigger and let the bullet go into his head?

 

There was a reason for that, actually.

He didn't think it was an act of cowardism, but slowly lowered it from his head, putting the hammer back in its place and set the gun down. Afterward, Zeta wiped his tears away and forced a smile.

"No... I cant do it.. Because, because... I.. Have a purpose.. A purpose, of living for somepony."

"A purpose, for Grand.."

 

He grew confident afterwards, and his forced smile became an actual smile. "Yeah, Grand. I may be 40 years of age, but that doesn't stop me from loving somepony!"

 

In an instant, he started to control his world, changing it from the barren wasteland that it was to its previous state. The real equestria.

It was beautiful, walking out the door to the new house. The sun was up, green was everywhere. And most importantly, there was the pony he had come to love.

Grand.

Everything was clear now, walking up to her and giving her a hug. All in all, it made him happy to do this, and eventually collapsed the world back into its original form.

It was dark again, but he heard the sound of voices.

The voices of..

 

"Guys? Guys, I can hear you again!"

"Don't worry! You'll get out of here. I have to help the others." Missy yelled, as she was pulled out of the dream.

Missy appeared back in the room with everypony else.
"Stephan, good! Grab my horn, we're going into Ink's dream!" Missy said, as she put her hoof to Ink's and turned to Stephan.

Stephan let what just happened to him sink in when he saw that Missy and Grand escaped. "Grand! Missy! Thank goodness you're both alright!" Stephan said, hugging both of them. "But no time for reunions! We need to help the others!" Stephan grabbed onto Missy and the two entered Ink's dream.

"You are not real!" he prepared himself with his survival knife, repeating his worst past moments of the viral outbreak, however, another voice fell to his ears; no wait, it came from inside his heart, "Face your fears, you did what needs to be done, I was long gone at that moment" her real mother always promised him that she will always be with him, "Trust in yourself, it's not real, all of this it's not." Ink was still hesitant, but then he was distracted by Missy and Stephan appearing in his mental challenge, "How the- " Ink's mom's reanimated corpse stroke him as he was unprepared, but instead of biting him, her face started to reformed back to a living state, "Let go..." Ink was surprised on seeing his mom's face up close and he did just that, he let go of his knife and woke up to reality.

He gasped for breath, and saw that everypony was in a small room and in front of them all was the gate with another riddle.

"By Luna, I hate this place."

Grands eyes blinked open. her body trembled as she got up. she couldnt shake the memory, the feeling of guilt that washed over her. she sat quietly against the wall, trying to focus on something else, anything, but everytime she closed here eyes, her sisters face waited, watching her. She watched as Stephan and Missy disappeared into Inkdrops brain, but she couldnt go through another memory after that

That left Zeta in a much different feeling then before, turning to see the real Grand there. He walked up to her, touching her face and smiled.

"Thank Celestia it's you.. I didn't want to be seeing my end in this room, not when I have something to live for now."

Ink said there were three doors, three rooms. does this mean we have to do this three more times?" She asked, not expecting an answer

"Fire Horn! It seems he's in very deep, we need to help him as soon as possible." Missy said, just coming out of Ink's nightmare/hallucination. "Everypony stay here!" Missy yelled before disappearing into Fire's mind.

 

As soon as Missy appeared, she noticed Fire on the ground, crying, eyes closed trying to drown out the noise.

"Fire." Missy whispered. "Come on, it's me." Missy said, tapping on Fire's head. Fire got up, noticing it was her, but not believing that it was her. He pulled a gun out. "Fire? What are you doing? It's me! I'm ME!!" Missy screamed, Fire pulled the trigger on the gun, hitting Missy, the gunshot knocked Fire out of his insane trance.

"Missy?! What? What?" Fire asked, confused.

"Just wake up, Fire, please." She said before disappearing.

 

Missy appeared out of the dream, gunshot intact. "Grand? Help?" Missy asked before falling over.

Fire Horn woke up. "What?" He asked.

"It just means there's three doors leading into three rooms with three different challenges. Don't worry about it Grand, we can make it.." He replied back, giving her a hug to try and make her feel better. Zeta figured that this challenge would put a problem on her, so he had something in mind if he was successful.

"Hey Grand, maybe this might cheer you up."

Zeta let go of her, looking into her eyes before giving a little kiss on her lips. Even if it may kill him to do it, he wanted to anyways.

"Gah..." Ink wiped his face with his hoof and shook his head rapidly, "Okay, one down... two more to go." 

He noticed Missy has reappeared, she seemed to have passed out, "No... no, this is not the time... we need her. Grand!" Ink turned to Grand, knowing that she was the only pony who could help her, "Is there anything you could do to help?"

Stephan rubbed his head and felt a hand. His own hand. He was human once again. "Well, that sure was a doozy..." He said in a loopy manner. "What's next after this door? Our bad memories appearing in the real world?" He asked, hoping he didn't jinx it.

Stephan looked at Zeta and Grand. His skin went white and he felt cold and betrayed by Zeta. He just looked away with a mad expression. "Whatever. Let's just get Fire back and get moving..."

Grand smiled and blushed, but immediately snapped out of it as she saw Missy. "damnit" she groaned, rushing over to her. "I suppose this is where my magic will have to help. Alright Missy, I have to get the bullet out. Im going to use my magic to bring it out because we havent got anything else. Please just try not to move around too much, okay?" She said, hoping someone was there for her to hold onto while she did this. She used her magic to grab onto the bullet, which luckily didnt break apart, and began to slowly loosen the bullet from her body. "as soon as I ge this out we need to put pressure on the wound. Youll be fine, I promise"

Steel was out on te floor deep in a memory

-memory start-

Steel looke around he was bak in his house behind th devils pub and he seen moonbeam sleeping that's Ann he relized what was happening it was the day demonblood took moonbeam from him and all he coil do was watch as the demons appered and grabbed him than demonblood walked on and use his magic to teleport moonbeam "have fun steel I'm just going to take her as insurance that you'll keep comin do me"demon blood said befor he and his demons disappeard- it just kept going over and over and steel was at breakin point

Missy started crying, not from the pain, but from an inescapable sense of betrayal, Fire had shot her, for what reason she didn't know, but she felt sad at that moment. Fire put his hoof over his mouth, it was meant to be a dream, he thought she was just a trick, a mind game. "Oh no, i'm sorry, i'm so sorry!" Fire said.

Grand weaselled the bullet out slowly, dropping it as soon as she got it out. She grabbed a plant that sped up blood clotting and placed it over the sound, then wrapped the bandage around tightly, putting pressure in it. "Alright, you should be fine, just don't move around too much. Luckily the wound wasn't too deep and didn't hit anything." She said, glad the wound wasn't around her stomach area

"Fire... you ready?." Ink returned to the stone wall and tried to decipher the glyphs and letters engraved on it. His lips and jaw moved, and words started to leave Ink's tongue.

 

"When one seeks to see the truth. it's a luxury but when one received too much truth, it's a curse..." 

 

Ink suddenly realized it all, he had known too much that his mind could not handle the truth, "I chose to forget because of this..." he muttered with his eyes opened wide.

Missy didn't know what the meaning of the riddle was, and she wasn't really in the mood, but they had to get past the obstacles that the shrine was giving them, but then she had another trance state. The shrine communicating with her?

"Ignorance is Bliss." Missy attempted, but had another idea. "In the pursuit of the truth, one must watch where they tread, lest they dig up skeletons best left undiscovered."
