Starburst had gone to his room, he hadn't slept in a bed in a week, so he was pretty tired.

"I'm just asking because, I know I'd feel weird if you were the one pregnant and I did something to harm you." Missy said. "Anyways, we're going home tomorrow, it'll be nice to live life again." Missy walked off to her own room.

Stephan sat next to Zeta and began speaking with him. "It's so great to see you alive, Zeta." He said with a smile. "Everypony was deeply concerned about you, me included. I would've bought you a get well present, but I'm short on bits, so... I couldn't." He admitted. "Anyways, how did the surgery go?"

Zeta gave a little smile to Stephan, but shook his head a little. "It's alright not to get me a present, since as long as I knew you guys cared it's fine. Anyways, the surgery... It was.. It worked, but they said it might take a bit to recover.."

He paused for a bit, sighing and coughed a little. "Something of mine, was removed from cancer. And it involves half of my stallionhood if you were to wonder why."

Stephan's eyes widened. "Holy... gosh, dude, that's rough." He said. "Well, surely you can still come with us to Ponyville, right? I'm sure you'd like to meet Grand's sister, Caramel Corn, as well as see how everything is doing down there. Though, I pretty sure my house is completely demolished right now." He said with a sigh.

Stephan's eyes widened. "Holy... gosh, dude, that's rough." He said. "Well, surely you can still come with us to Ponyville, right? I'm sure you'd like to meet Grand's sister, Caramel Corn, as well as see how everything is doing down there. Though, I pretty sure my house is completely demolished right now." He said with a sigh.

"Why, of course i'm coming. I told Grand that, and i'd keep to my word on it.." Zeta replied back, giving another few coughs before looking back to Stephan. "If your house is destroyed, then I could offer you my apartment. It's certainly not much at all, but it's big enough for two."

Stephan smiled at Zeta. "Thanks, Zeta. I appreciate that." He said in a happy tone. "But, before, we move on, I want to talk to you about Grand." Stephan said, taking a deep breath. "I need some advice from you, man. I've never really had a mare friend before, and I think Grand and I are actually starting to hit something off. But, I'm not sure how I can tell if she's interested or not." He admitted. "You've had a wife before, right? How did you and her starting, you know, hitting it off?" He asked. Zeta probably wasn't the best pony to ask this, since he loved her deeply, too.

He took in a breath, exhaling before speaking again. "It was, fairly simple actually.. Since I was one of the popular boys in school back in the day, I found a girl who loved me, and I loved her back more then ever. This, this is different in many ways. It seems like Grand... She wants to have someone, but she's still the independent young girl from the inside. It's hard to tell her, honestly, since she was one who I gave up on but she insisted me to come back into the competition between me and you."

Afterwards, Zeta took in another deep breath. "You cant really tell her, until she admits to you that she loves you. I'm, sorry Stephan.."

"I know, but I don't want to make her upset." Zeta replied back. "You wanted her, and I said you were going to get her. The only thing is... I think she wants us to, since it would give her time to choose who.."

He lowered his head down, looking at the stitch marks across his lower body. "It's not, gonna be, easy. But even so, I've been getting back feelings for Grand..."

"Yes, yes I already know.. But Grand already told me, she wants a competition between the two for a good reason in fact." He said back. "Considering that she said.... She said, she didn't want me to give up and just let you win. I still cant figure out why, but that's the truth."

Zeta paused again, putting a hoof to his face to think.

"Maybe it's because, she didn't want me to die, because I probably would of let myself go back in the operating room.."

It was now the middle of the night, Fire had come back and found out about Starburst. Missy couldn't sleep, so she visited Starburst in his room. She stood in the doorway.

"Oh....hey mum, how.....how are you? Why aren't you sleeping?" Starburst asked.

"Can't sleep, I guess you know why, huh." Missy said.

Stephan put his hoof on Zeta's shoulder. "Well, here's the thing, Zeta; When it comes right down to it, none of use really want you to die. The reason I don't want to compete with you is because I don't want to lose you as a friend. You're too good of one to just lose over a mare." He told him. "But, I understand where you're coming from. Grand is just that kind of mare with that strong sense of caring."

Missy woke up next to Fire Horn, they would be going home that day. Missy rolled over to Fire and tapped him on the shoulder.

"What?" Fire asked grumpily, turning around to Missy, she booped him on the nose, Fire Horn did it right back, they both started laughing.

Stephan walked out of Steel's house and walked outside of the city. He had a hot cup of coffee in his hoof and he took in the fresh air.

"I bet Ponyville is in complete shambles right now..." Stephan thought to himself. "Caramel Corn must be worried sick about Grand, as well as Grand must be for Caramel."

Zeta woke up, feeling a little better now that he wasn't dying. Surprisingly his body started to heal quickly, but it didn't concern him. He made his way out of the bed once more, doing the same thing that he did before so there wasn't an accident and successfully got down. He'd meet everypony soon, and made his way to the door but was stopped by Redheart entering.

"My my Zeta, it looks like you have recovered quick. How is everything been?" Looking at the different monitors to see if he was alright or not. "I was informed that you were going out to Ponyville today, and I respect that. The other doctors didn't want you to leave on your condition, but I was able to talk them out of it. If you need help, i'll be glad to give it to you."

 

Zeta looked back to her, shaking a head and reached for his crutch that lay near him. "I'll be alright, thank you." And made his way out the door.

A while later, he walked out to the house where most of the other ponies went, giving a knock on the door.

Fire decided that the best thing to do was tickle Missy, she was laughing so much she barely heard the knock on the door. She got up out of bed and walked to the door, mane extremely messy.

"Hey....um.....Zeta? Aren't you supposed to be in the hospital?" Missy asked, still feeling giddy from the laughing.

"I told you guys yesterday that I would come to Ponyville with you, unless you didn't hear it.." He replied, adjusting his crutch to fit him better before continuing on. "Hey, um... Is Grand here by any chance? I would like to meet her if she still is, unless she left somewhere."

Grand woke up late and, not expecting company so early, walked downstairs without doing her hair, mane, or anything else. "Good morning Mi- oh, I didn't realize everyone was already here" she said, quickly trying to fix her bedraggled mane. "Just give me a moment please" she then rushed off

Stephan walked into Fire and Missy's house to find Zeta there, up and out of the hospital. It seemed he was there to see Grand AGAIN. "Dude, it seems like Grand is the only one that keeps you alive. He sighed, turning to Stephan with his usual straight face. "Yeah, but I already had made a promise with Grand to meet her sister, and even if I wasnt I was already planning to come down with all of you guys to Ponyville. You don't have to sound rude about it, since it's not technically my fault.."

Stephan watched Grand go upstairs, then turned his attention to Fire and Zeta. "Anyways, I was going to give her this." Stephan took out something from his knapsack. It was a new leg for Grand. It looked and felt like a real pony leg, but it wasn't. "Me and Light made this for her to replace that mechanic one she currently has."

Steel hadn't gone home he went and eliminated his target and took care of the evidence and collected his payment 10,000 bits he still has his dark cloak on...

He flew to Missys house and landed on the roof just above the door "when they walk out I'll drop down and say hello maybe I'll even get a scream out of them before they notice who I am"steel siad

"I'm going to go and pack a few things." Missy said, excusing herself and walking to her bedroom.

"Is that our friends?" Fire asked.

"Yes, it's Stephan and Zeta." Missy said. She looked around, there was nothing of hers there, she literally had nothing to stay in Canterlot for.

Stephan turned to Zeta. "Sorry about snapping at you, man. I'm just a bit stressed and worried about how things are doing in Ponyville." He said before putting his bag down and heading upstairs. "I'm gonna give this to Grand real quick." He proceeded up the stairs.

 

Stephan walked up to Grand's room and knocked on her door. "Grand, when you have a moment, could I talk to you real fast?" He asked. "I need to give you something me and Light made."
