Grand smiled. "Terribly sorry miss sparkle, it's grand finale, your nurse and doctor for now" she introduced, adding a few medicinal creams on her bruises and cuts gently.

 

A doctor came by and wheeled caramel into a room before checking on her. She had a low blood sugar so he gave her a few pills to give her nutrients. She took them sleepily, diss appointed it wasn't real food

Stephan stopped by Starburst for a minute. "If you ever have anything you want to get off your chest, just talk to me. I'll listen." He then walked in the direction of Zeta's old apartment.

 Stephan walked up to Zeta, who seemed to be leaning against the wall of his burnt apartment. "Great. Now neither of us have a place to stay..." He muttered.

Nopony had a place to stay anymore, the buildings that were still standing weren't suitable for staying in or sleeping in.

Starburst decided to visit Caramel, he just wanted to speak to her. He stood in the doorway of her room.

 Stephan walked up to Zeta, who seemed to be leaning against the wall of his burnt apartment. "Great. Now neither of us have a place to stay..." He muttered.

The brute opened his eyes to Stephan, taking a gander to him with a slightly surprised look. "Yours was caught in the explosion too? Tis a bummer then, but if Grand's house isn't destroyed then we may be able to stay there. After all, she offered me her place if I didn't have any, and i'm sure she will say the same with you as well."

Caramel looked up at him and smiled tiredly. "I'm feeling fine, I'm just not used to being out and about is all. After some rest I'll be fine" she said, happy to see him. "Are you alright? Those bullets must've done some damage" she said, looking to see if he was hurt. "I can't imagine what being shot feels like"

"My house was actually demolished BEFORE the explosions. Light is currently rebuilding it and making it more sturdy." He leaned up against the wall with Zeta, standing on his hind hooves. "Anyways, I probably won't be here for a long amount of time. I'm the guy that negotiates with other towns. I pretty much have to leave town and travel long distances to other cities." He then shrugged. "Sounds right up my alley."

"Bruises, cracked ribs at most, but I'm most worried about my mum, she got shot." Starburst said. "At least I had a bulletproof vest, then there's the issue of my sister, I'm worried she might not be born after all this stress." Starburst sat in a chair next to Caramel's bed.

"Well that sucks, and I thought you were having a good bond between you and Grand.." Zeta replied back, letting out a sigh after. "But lets not talk about that for now. Anyways, how long are you staying here till, and what city are you going to next after Ponyville?"

Caramel looked at him. "I'm sure your moms fine. You've got some pretty awesome parents you know, just thought I should tell you that. And your sister is going to be fine. Grand will make sure the baby and your mom are perfectly fine" she smiled. "You must be pretty excited to have a little sister"

"Grand is pretty awesome, she was basically the healer for our group the whole time we were in Bruchellia." Starburst thought about the fact that he died, but he decided not to bring that up. "I'm excited about having a sister, it'll be.....great."

 

Missy began to open her eyes, there was a burning pain in her chest, she could barely breathe.

And also, just make sure you're not gone too long since I don't want you to be away from Grand for a while. I know that we both love her, but even so I cant help the fact that I told you she was yours."

"But I don't want that to get in the way of our friendship. No friendship is worth risking over a mare." He then went back to what he was saying. Caramel smiled at Starburst. "Youve been through alot huh? man, being aware of everything must have been pretty harsh. I havent told anyone this but, the virus doesnt kill you. I wasnt brought back from the dead, I was alive the whole time. I remember flashes, running towards ponies, wandering around aimlessly... the virus took over your body, but you were still alive. It was awful" She said, shaking her head." I can only imagine what it was like to know whats going on the whole time, to have to live through that"

"What I meant was.." He started to trail off a little bit, but regained focus and took a moment to think about what he was going to say. "I told you that Grand was your pony to take care of, since mine was pretty much over. Then when she wanted me back in our competition and all, it kind of messed up everything.."

"I wasn't aware of what was happening, granted, I was killed before I turned." Starburst turned to Caramel. "Oh, that's right, I died, I got impaled by a spear, saving Stephan's life." Starburst winced in pain because of the side of his face that got hit by the explosion.

"That means you care about her, good." He said back. "And you're right. Rebuilding all the cities including Ponyville is the first thing to really do. Though I don't exactly know where to start, I will find some way to help out in doing this. After all, promises are never meant to be broken."

Zeta stood up, making sure he was all ready before grabbing his crutch to walk away to the hospital where he would start. But before he went on, he turned around to look at him again. "May the best Stallion win, good friend."

He realized that both him and Stephan were going in the same direction, so he walked beside him to the hospital entrance. "Whatcha coming here for Stephan? Unless you want to tell her goodbye before heading off, heh. It's an easy guess honestly."

Grand had taken her ration for the day and immediately gave it to the older colt, making sure nobody saw her. "This will be our little secret okay?" She said before leaving the room quietly. She ran into Stephan as she was exiting the room and jumped. "Oh my goodness, you startled me" she said, calming herself

"Fire made me the city negotiator, so I have to go to a city on the far side of Equestria and make trades with them."
