Grand entered, looking at the injured missy and sighed. "How has she been doing starburst?" She asked, beginning to replace bandages and check her vitals. "Has there been any news on the baby? I'm going to check on her, but just so I know what's going on" she said, making sure everything was still working

Zeta entered as well, walking up next to Grand to whisper. "Err, Grand.. Starburst is asleep right now, so we may want to keep it down a bit."

Afterwards, he walked over to check her pulse. It felt weak, but it was still staying steady which was a relief. "Pulse is good, now we should look at her injuries to possibly disinfect any.."

Starburst woke up suddenly, looking at Missy. Seeing that she wasn't awake, he sighed and put his head back down.

 

Fire was in the town hall, reviewing the map of the entire town, figuring out which areas needed defending.

"Right, Applejack, how is the farm? Is it capable of growing apples?" Fire asked.

"Uhh...yes, ah reckon we'll have enough apples to last us a while." Applejack replied.

Grand set up the ultrasound as quietly as she could, trying to work quickly. She placed the ultrasound device on her stomach and found the baby, who was miraculously unharmed. Grand looked at the baby, who seemed smaller than it should be and grand looked down the hall to see if anyone was there. "I'm going to trust you to not tell on me when I do this" she said quietly to zeta as she left the room for a second, only to return with a small bit of food for Missy. She placed it on her table quietly. "I just won't eat tomorrow either" she said, leading him out if the room

"Wait, tomorrow?" He replied with a surprised look on his face. "Grand, you cant be starving yourself to death like this. Here, let me get you some food from my own rations as well. We can share it together, since i'm always alright with giving you some."

After a few hours of consecutive running and flying through Equestria's plains, the trio stop near Cloudsdale, which was still flying high in the sky. 

"Hopefully they don't mind an earth pony visiting this place." Stephan said. Light grabbed Stephan's front hooves and the trio began to fly up to the floating city.

Grand smiled. "No, if fire were to find out, he wouldn't be happy. I don't want to get you in trouble, but I think these ponies should get more food, and fires rules aRent going to stop me. I can live without food for a few days, these ponies can't" she said sternly, making sure nobody could hear them

He shook his head, giving a little sigh of frustration before looking into her eyes. "There are limits for everything Grand, so don't push it. If you die from hunger, then you lose more then just one life, okay? Just promise me, you'll live like how I did to you.."

Grand had gone through her patients for the day and sat tiredly in the break room. She looked over at Zeta. "I would never risk my life, I am only eating when necessary rather than everyday. These patients need more than a ration a day. I don't, that's all" she said as she rested on the chair

Fire was still in the town hall but he wanted to go to the hopsital to see Missy and Twilight. So he walked to the hospital, he saw Starburst in the room with Missy, sleeping. He noticed more than the rationed amount of food next to Missy.

Fire walked to the break room to talk to Grand.

"Grand, I want a word with you." Fire said.

Zeta sat next to Grand, wrapping his arm around her body to comfort her. "If you're alright with it, then i'm fine too. Maybe I might just give my rations away as well, you know? After all, I did something similar on our little journey to the land of the Zebras."

 

Just then, Fire walked in and turned to the two, but from hearing what he said he wanted to speak with her, so Zeta let his arm off of Grand and put it back down to his side.

Grand sighed. She was hoping she could go longer without being caught. "What is it Fire, is something wrong with one of the patients? I've finished my shift but I'm always willing to help" she put strong emphasis on the last word, but remained smiling. "I'll go help with whatever you need"

Fire was getting slightly annoyed at the always-friendly act she put on.

"Grand, what the hell were you thinking? We don't have the supplies to just be handing food to ponies." Fire asked. "We haven't even got enough to feed the 43 ponies we currently have without you giving extra to your patients."

"It's not extra, I'm just switching the rations. I don't need to eat, but missy does. It's the same amount if food, I'm just giving mine away. Other ponies should do the same, not everypony needs the same amount if rations." She said, getting slightly angry. "This is why we need a council, to make these decisions"

As the trio flew to Cloudsdale, they noticed that the city really underwent some changes. The security around the city looked like it had been increased tenfold. There was a huge wall surrounding the city and guards on every side of it.

"Man, they must really want to protect this place..." Stephan muttered. The trio landed outside of the gate of the wall.

((OOC: So, who's going to play the pony guards here?))

"I just don't want to run out of food within the first few days. Food cannot be prioritized, you have to eat just as much as everypony else." Fire paused and turned to Grand. "Is there something wrong with the baby, is that why you gave Missy extra?" Fire asked.

There was one specific guard up in Cloudsdale, which had taken notice of Stephan and leaped down in front of him. Both wings were opened up as he glided to them, closing once he reached the ground and stared directly to him.

His facial expression was similar to that of Zeta's, and he was wearing very heavy body armor as well.

"State your business here, earth pony." The guard said with a deep voice.

Stephan nodded. "My name is Blasted Nova, but you can just call me Stephan. These are my companions, Light Streak and Stained Steel. We've come to negotiate." He began to explain. "We come from the ruined town of Ponyville, and me and my friends have come to see if we could make a trade agreement between us and the ponies of Cloudsdale."

"It all depends on what you offer, Stephan." The guard said slowly, but carried on. "Ponyville, is in a weakened state as of now. So unless you have something that is worth for a constant trade, then i'm afraid we cannot help you."

 

It took another few moments to speak once more, taking a bit to think about what they would have and looked down to the land. He saw something quite interesting that surprised him, so he looked back to Stephan.

"Apples. If you can grow them for us, we will give you the water to help grow and sustain them."

Stephan took a minute to think about that. The apples back in Ponyville were the biggest food source there right now. They didn't have many weapons to trade, and it's not like they could trade trail mix. He looked back up at the guard. "That could probably be arranged." He said.

The guard smiled, walking up to Stephan to put a hoof on his shoulder. "That is, good then." He said back, then lowered his hoof to a shaking level. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Fortress. You may already recognize how much bigger I am compared to the rest of the guards, which is also what has made me leader of Cloudsdale from the will of keeping this place alive and running. It is an honor to meet you, Stephan. Since you were the one to save the world with the rest of your people."

Grand sighed. "The babies fine, it just hasn't been getting the nutrients it needs. That's why the ill need more food, and as long as I'm standing, my food will go to the ponies who need it more" she said sternly, not breaking eye contact with fire. "There's no law stating I can't"

Stephan smiled and shook his hoof. "So you have heard of me? I guess word IS spreading like wildfire." He said with a cocky smirk. "Although, I couldn't have done it without them. We're trying our hardest to restore Equestria. But, I'm a little bit surprised about how you're treating me. I thought earth ponies weren't allowed to come up to Cloudsdale." He speculated.

Stephan smiled and shook his hoof. "So you have heard of me? I guess word IS spreading like wildfire." He said with a cocky smirk. "Although, I couldn't have done it without them. We're trying our hardest to restore Equestria. But, I'm a little bit surprised about how you're treating me. I thought earth ponies weren't allowed to come up to Cloudsdale." He speculated.

"Indeed you are correct, Stephan. But in this desperate time, we would at least ask in what business they come here for. Yours is a very exceptional reason, since it may help restart the balance of life once more."

After speaking that, he turned to a guard from the high walls above. "You! Get a messenger ready to send down to Sweet Apple Acres. Tell anyone in the Apple family, when they would need rain to grow their fruit."

 

The guard obliged, and in a matter of a few minutes a small Pegasus jumped out from the high walls and fell from the sky down to the area. When he made sure the boy was going in the right direction, he looked back at Stephan.

"I believe our conversation is done. You have moved me so, so i'll provide you with this money for whatever you need." Which he then reached down in an area and pulled out a bag with some bits inside, hoping it would help.

"Alright, Grand, you win." Fire said. "From now on, you can ration the food out to everypony. You're definitely going to eat something, Grand, even if it means giving up my food. Stephan would probably kill me, if he found out about that." Fire began to walk away.
