"Not all of them. You see the virus works two ways. It can either take over a corpse, or inhabit a living body and simply override the system. The ponies who were dead before they got infected are still dead. I was bitten, but not killed, so I was alive the whole time" She said, trying to explain what little she knew about the virus

He nodded his head. "Ah yes, I forgot about that. I do know what you mean though, since I've seen ponies die and then turn into a trotter. It was horrible, but their live was already lost."

Then after the introduction, Zeta started to walk back to Grand's room and looked to her once more. "Anyway, i'm off to take care of Grand. What are you going to do?"

"I might just take a nap, I should really get some rest, ive done more today than ive done in the last two weeks" SHe sighed as she put her head down on the couch.

 

Grand had been looking out her window and noticed an explosion in the distance. "Thats odd..." She thought as she tried to figure out what it was

"Thanks Steel." Starburst said before flying back to Ponyville knowing that Stephan and Light would be OK.

 

When Starburst arrived back in Ponyville, he ran into Fire.
"Dad? What are you doing out here?" Starburst asked.

"Finding you. Now come back to Grand's house with me." Fire said.

Grand had been looking out her window and noticed an explosion in the distance. "Thats odd..." She thought as she tried to figure out what it was

Zeta walked into the room to see the light come out and saw Grand stare at it as well. He looked over to see an explosion, followed by black smoke afterwards. "Huh.. That explosion over there. Do you think that could be, more bandits..? I have a feeling it's related to them, or something like that."

"I dont know, but if thats where Stephan and Starburst are then we might be in trouble" She said, beginning to panic. "What if they were there when it exploded?" SHe said, looking at Zeta with panicked eyes. "Do you think thats what happened? What else could cause that..."

"No, I cant believe that. They must of done something inside the base then got out before it exploded, because I refuse to believe that they died." He said back, comforting her in his arms. "We'll see them again, don't worry. Heck, they may be near our doorstep by now so lets just wait."

Starburst and Fire walked into the house.

"Where's Stephan and Light?" Fire asked.

"They'll be here soon, I took care of business." Starburst said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Fire asked seriously.

"BOOM!" Starburst said.

 

Missy took the oxygen mask off.

"Hello, what time is it?"

Grand rushed out of the room. "Oh, thank Celestia your alright!" SHe said, very relieved. "What in Equestria happened?" She said seriously. 

 

Caramel looked at Starburst and smiled, though trying to hide it from anyone else in the room. "Im glad you guys made it back, sorry about not doing anything, Starburst" She said, a little ashamed

Starburst glanced over and smiled at Caramel, a wave of happiness came over him when he saw her. But he quickly turned to Grand because he realised she was watching him closely.

"Well, me and Caramel were out by a pond, then two bandits attacked us, I negotiated to let her go but they take me instead. They wanted to negotiate, I wanted them to die." Starburst explained. "Guess who won?"

Grand looked at him. "You need to be more careful" She said, looking at him. "Your mother would be absolutly livid if he were to know youve just gone and killed so many ponies, AND risked your life" She said, but her anger died away. "I'm just glad youre safe is all"

Time went by, and hours passed. The night began to grow darker and colder. by the time it was near morning Stephan and Light finally found Ponyville. They were both covered in ashes and burns from the explosion. When they re-entered the town, they felt absolutely horrible, but they at least tried to make it to Grand's house to let her know they were okay,

"How are you? I'm sorry for leaving you out there at the pond."

 

Missy woke up again, earlier, the doctor had put the mask back on her and walked out of the room.

One of the nurses walked in.

"Can you get Grand for me, when she arrives that is?" Missy asked faintly.

"Yes, I will." She said, checking on her pulse.

Grand grabbed the gun from Steel. "You are not giving my teenage sister a loaded gun when she has no experience" She said, putting it on the table. Grand looked over to the door as Stephan and Light Streak walked in. "Oh, you two are alright" She said with a sigh of relief. "You guys are far too reckless" She said, exasperated from the days events

 Stephan smirked and shrugged. "Are you surprised at this point?" He asked Grand, almost out of breath. The two entered Grand's house and lied down in two chair placed next to each other. "Well, we were able to make trade agreements with Cloudsdale. That's what's important." He said.

Grand looked at the time. It was already morning and she hadnt got an ounce of sleep. "Well, I'm off to the hospital, I will se you all tonight" She said a little sharply. Running with no food and sleep was starting to get the best of her. As she walked into the hospital a nurse ran up to her and directed her to Missy's room. "Alright, thank you" Grand said as she entered Missy's room. "Hi Missy, how are you feeling today?" She asked, trying to be cheery

Missy took off the oxygen mask again.

"I'm fine, a little bit sore, but I'll live. How's my little filly, is she OK?" Missy was worried for her child's safety after all that.

 

Fire Horn turned to Stephan.
"Great, what are we trading and what are we getting?" Fire asked.

Grand smiled. "The little one is fine, though I am going to give you a few pills to take, just to give the baby a few extra nutrients. The only problems I see is that she might be a bit smaller than the norm" She said, taking off a few pills from the cart she had brought in the room. "Here, this should do for now"

Steel picked up five bags of tail mix and the seven gallons of water"well this stuff is for free and I can get that same amount every month "steel did then handed the gun off the table and put it and the ammo in his bag" and I can also get some weapons if need be"

Zeta had followed quietly behind, being the nurse and all. Though he didn't walk into the room the two mares were in, since he decided that they should talk alone rather then with him around. It would be much more private, since they were both girls anyways but he stayed next to the doorway in case he was needed.

"Thank you, Grand, it's nice to see you again." Missy looked closer. "Grand, are you alright? You don't seem well enough, you should look after yourself." Missy took the pills, they were a bit odd-tasting but Missy shrugged off the taste. "Kindness is in your nature, I get it, but it's not good for you."

"Well, hopefully we can get some apples growing soon." Stephan said.  "The leader in Cloudsdale is offering for us to give them freshly grown apples in exchange for clean water to help keep everypony hydrated and keep the apples growing." He explained to Fire.

"I'm fine as long as I'm not in the hospital. The ponies here are my main concern" She said, losing her sweet tone a bit. She quickly brought it back. "Its no matter, I have alot of patients to check on today. Is there anything else you need?" SHe said as she began her routine check on Missy. "Would you like to see your baby? You werent awake when I checked on her, so I could show her to you if you would like"

"Well, right now, you're my main concern." Missy tried to prop herself up a bit, but a tightness in her chest stopped her.

"Yes, I'm really anxious to see how she's getting along, Starburst grew quite quickly for a baby, it's a change to have a small alicorn this time."
