Grand set her up to the ultrasound and located the baby. The ultrasound showed up on the screen. "There, see? all happy and healthy" She said, smiling at Missy. "No problems, just a little on the smaller side is all" Grand looked at Missy, happy for her to finally see her baby

"Well, hopefully we can get some apples growing soon." Stephan said.  "The leader in Cloudsdale is offering for us to give them freshly grown apples in exchange for clean water to help keep everypony hydrated and keep the apples growing." He explained to Fire.

"Good, but we aren't in need of water as much as food." Fire turned to Steel who had a bunch of stuff. "Great, just take this to the town hall, that's where all our rations are stored."

"Hey Caramel, I'm sorry for leaving you at the pond? Are you alright?" Staburst asked Carmael.

He sighed, walking in since Zeta already knew he was caught and looked at the monitor from the ultrasound. He felt happy about the new alicorn coming up and smiled as well. "Well would you look at that, hm. So that's how your filly is going to look like, Missy? I expect her to be very pretty whenever you have her.~"

"Still, the normal pony can only go about three days without any water. It can go much longer without food." He noted. "Plus, like I said, we can use the water to grow more trees, thus growing more food. I also got a few new seeds to plant different things, that way we won't be stuck with apples the whole time."

Grand smiled and packed up the ultrasound. "Now im terribly sorry to have to leave, but theres alot of patients here" She said with a tired smile. "I'll be back later today though, I promise" 

 

Caramel smiled. "Oh no, I should be the one whose sorry or letting them take you like that. I should have done something, I would have if I wasnt so flipping weak" She said, frustrated at herself

"You have a point there, Stephan, care to come and help me, I promised Applejack I'd help her on the farm today. We've all got to do out bit to help and all." Fire said.

 

Starburst sat down in front of Caramel. I'm glad you didn't do anything, I wouldn't want anything to harm you, especially not them." Starburst said. "....but hey, at least we're all safe."

 

"Thanks again Grand, it's been nice talking, now I've got some sleep to do." Almost immediately she started snoring.

Grand looked at her sleeping lonkingly for a second before snapping out of it. "alright Zeta, lets head to the next room, We have a mare who got shot in the hip" She said as she walked into a room with a fairly young mare, who had a bandage on her flank. "Good morning miss, shall we check on that wound?"

 

Caramel smiled. "Yeah, I guess thats what matters. Im going to keep trying to get strong again. I want to help you guys fight the bandits next time instead of being watched over by my bossy older sister" She said with a slight giggle

Stephan got up. "Why not. I need something to get my mind off of what I just experienced." He said. "Oh, by the way." Stephan reached into his saddlebag and took out a sack of bits. "The leader of Cloudsdale gave me this for free. Take it and put it towards the community." He said, as he gave the bag to Fire.

"Right." Fire put the bag in his saddlebags. "Shall we be off then?" Fire asked Stephan while walking out the door.

 

Starburst laughed at her giggle. "You know your giggle is really funny." Starburst sighed. "Well, I'm going to go and see my mum, that is if she's awake." Starburst said.

Steel walked over to caramel and handed her the gun and ammo "here and if you want it Zach train you to fight with any small blade"steel did then turned to starburst "teach her to use the gun so grand won't flip out ok "steel said "I don't want her going on me I may get hurt it there and if she's mad at me I'm screwed "

"alright Zeta, lets head to the next room, We have a mare who got shot in the hip" She said as she walked into a room with a fairly young mare, who had a bandage on her flank. Caramel smiled. "Yeah, I guess thats what matters. Im going to keep trying to get strong again. I want to help you guys fight the bandits next time instead of being watched over by my bossy older sister" She said with a slight giggle

He nodded, following Grand out to the next room and saw the young mare. Without hesitation, he slowly took some scissors and cut the bandage off, hoping to replace it. But instead of what he wanted to see, he saw a bad infection on where the gunshot wound is.

"Grand, take a look. We would need some stuff to clean out this. It's seemed to become pretty horrible looking, whoever treated this patient. Miss, if I may ask. When did somepony bandage this for you, and when were you shot here?"

Stephan nodded. "Yeah. Let's go." Stephan and Fire went outside and proceeded to Applejack's farm.

 

Light went into the hospital. He had suffered a broken wing upon escaping the explosion at the base. He walked up to the desk, checked in, and sat down, waiting to be called in.

The young mare looked at them, concerned about her injury. "I got hurt during the attack and a pony helping out just patched it up, hoping it would be okay. I just got to the hospital last night"

 

"Well, that would explain the infection then. We are going to need some antibiotics for that" She said, cleaning the wound carefully

 

Caramel blushed a bit. "alright, let me know how she's doing when you get back" She said happily as she laid down on the couch

"Caramel, take my hoof, I'm going to teach you how to use a gun." Starburst said, extending his hoof. "If you'll be joining us any time soon, you'll need to know how to fire one, how to aim it. It helps if you use magic."

 

When Fire and Stephan arrived at the farm, Big Mac was at work, uprooting old, decayed trees.

Caramel looked at the gun hesitatantly. "Grand wouldnt like this" She said as an ultramarine magic surrounded the gun as she took it carefully. Her magic was a bit weak due to her condition, but it held. "what about your mother?" SHe asked, remembering he was going to go visit her

Stephan waved to Big Macintosh and he waved back. Him and Fire then walked up to Applejack. "Hey, AJ. Is there any sort of work you need me and Fire to tend to?" He asked her.

 

Light waited for a while in the waiting room to be called in. He then walked up to the front desk. "Excuse me, ma'am. Do you know how long it'll be until the next doctor is available?"

"Well, my mother is probably asleep, she's pretty tired now, being shot and being pregnant really must take it out of you." Starburst said, observing Caramel holding the gun. "Don't fear the gun, it's not going to bite you, respect it. Plus, if you wave it around, I will have to kick you." Starburst joked.

 

"We just need general work done around the farm, Fire Horn here was kind enough lend a helpin' hoof." Applejack replied.

Zeta quickly went through the cabinets, picking out some of the stronger antibiotics for the wound she had and brought it over to her to set on a tray. "Grand if I may suggest. The only way we may have to clean this wound is with a toothbrush and some of this. And when I mean toothbrush, I mean.. Scrub it hard."

"well if thats the case, she will need painkillers. the only thing about that, is the painkillers and antibiotics cant go in the same time. Either we clean it now and wait a while to give her the antibiotics, which risks infection spread, or we can give her the antibiotics now and wait to fully clean the wound, which could worsen the wound itself" She said perplexed

 

Caramel nodded nervously as she held the gun. "Um, maybe we should go outside. Grand wouldnt want bulletholes in her walls" She said, laughing nervously

"Alrighty then." Starburst said, leading Caramel outside, there he levitated some bottles onto a box.

"Alright, only put pressure on the trigger if you're either scared for your safety or you want to kill something. Basic rule of carrying a ugn in the open."

Stephan nodded. "So, basically, just tending to the animals, the field, and such? I can do that." He assured. "Also, I made trading agreements with Cloudsdale yesterday. And I almost got killed from doing so." He felt a bit embarrassed getting himself into danger like that. "Anyways, once we can start growing apples, we'll need to have them coming in a soon as you can. The leader agreed to give us water for our apples."

"It wont worsen the wound itself Grand." Zeta said firmly. "It will start to bleed some, but eventually it will heal back and there wont be any infection. You could ask me that after getting a few before, and man did it stink.."

So he walked back over to the cabinets, grabbing a painkiller bottle to stick on the tray as well. "Alright, ready?"
