"Don't kill Steel, Fire. Even though he nearly killed Missy, he shouldn't die." Stephan said. He didn't think Steel was the best stallion in the world, but he was still a stallion. "If you're gonna blow this place up, don't let Steel die in the explosion. He doesn't deserve it. If he must be punished, punish him in a jail cell. Not in Tartarus."

"Remember what the devil said, if he goes back there, he won't be getting out again. Not for the rest of his eternal damnation." Fire said. "I hope the guy rots there, now to go deal with Siren."

 

Starburst turned to the building, legs trembling.

"Justice....is swift, justice is good, justice is right." He mumbled to himself. He charged a spell and blew the palce sky high, sending himself flying from the blast. He got up, a little dizzy and looked at what he had done. "Celestia, forgive me."

Stephan's eyes teared up upon seeing the place explode. Steel was gone. He was gone for good this time. Upon seeing the explosion, Light come down to the ground and stood by Stephan's side.

"Stephan, what happened? What just exploded there??" He asked. "Where's Steel, anyways?"

"With any luck, he's dead. Now come on, we have work to do, we're going after Siren, the white mare with the purple mane, kinda dresses like a really bad hooker." Fire was really angry, he had half a mind to kill Siren where she stood at that current moment, but he at least wanted answers, why did she do it? What did Missy do to anger her?

 

Starburst began back to the town hall.

Steel had managed to get underground before the place blew but the cave collapsed and he was trapped "damn it well at least now they think I'm dead and wont bother me anymore" steel said " mayr I could explain what happend I didn't know it was Missy till she was dead or at least o thought she was dead" steel began to dig himself out "this will take a while"

Stephan raised his head.
"You do it yourself, Fire. Is this what Missy would've wanted you to do? I don't think she would." He couldn't believe what he was saying, but it felt better to let it out of his system. He believed that the Fire Horn he knew would've never done something so extreme. "You're no better than Siren." Stephan ran off to the hospital to do what he planned doing before this.

"What? Stephan, wait!" Light called out. But it was too late. Stephan had already entered the building.

Caramel turned her head at the sound of the commotion outside

 

Siren looked at the door and sighed. "Please, they're coming for me, you have to at least let them give me time to explain!" She said, looking fearfully at Caramel

 

Caramel grabbed her. "I promise. Innocent until proven guilty" she said with confidence.

Fire resented that statement, Siren was a murderer, killing for pleasure, not for the welfare of anypony, but would Missy want him going on a veangeful vendetta, no, but it had already started, he had to finish what he had started, no turning back now.
Starburst came up behind him.
"It's done, they're all dead, all........70 of them." Starburst closed his eyes and looked down guiltily, trying to conceal the pain.

Fire walked over to him. "Justice was done, nothing can stop it. They had what was coming to them."

Steel had dug his was to his bug out packs that contained dye for his mane and body contacts that would make his eyes look blue and a crimson red cloak he put them on and then began to dig some more "now whn I get out the won't be able to identify me unless they see my cutiemark" steel said

Stephan walked into the hospital and walked up to the mare at the front desk.

"Good evening, ma'am. Have you seen a Grand Finale around here?" He asked her.

"Well, yes, actually She left about an hour ago. Looked pretty upset, too." She responded.

"Oh, well, thank you for your time."Stephan then walked out of the hospital and stood outside the door. 

"Damn it!"

Fire and Starburst started on their way back to the town hall, the guilt hanging over Starburst, he kept trying to tell himself it had to be done, but he knew that wasn't entirely true. The two entered the town hall, giving everypony a scare.
"Siren, come out here....now!" Fire yelled. "We know it was you who hired Steel, now get out here!! Now!!"

Siren took a deep breath and walked out. "Please, let me explain. Yes, I was there, and I'm terribly sorry I didn't tell you before. You see, just coming back from Tartarus left me with little here in Equestria, and I had nowhere to stay. I thought of all ponies, Steel would be able to help me so I went to talk to him. When I got there he was just leaving, saying something about a job, and I followed him. By the time I got there, he was gone and I saw Missy"

"No excuses, you sent somepony to kill my wife, but say, he failed at killing her instantly, so you, I don't know, wipe the culprit's mind of any and all trace, that he killed anypony." Fire contniued. "I found Missy's jacket in Steel's house, there were 3 distinct stabs in the fabric and most importantly, in one of the pockets, there was a picture of me, her and my son." Fire pulled out a gun and aimed it at her. "So tell me the truth, or I won't hesitate but to blow your head off." Everypony gasped and backed away from Siren and Fire.

 

"Dad, take it easy, we can do this, but we don't have to kill everypony who gets in our way." Starburst said.

"Time after time, I have given ponies the benefit of the doubt, not anymore." Fire said, cocking the gun.

"Go ahead, shoot me, but last time I checked there is no evidence if me doing anything. I told you why I was there, to find a place to stay. Why would I still be here if I did anything." She said, looking at Fire with confidence. "You pull that trigger, you kill an innocent. Until you find any legitimate evidence, you have nothing. I don't like being blamed for something I didn't do"

"So, you're telling me, that just after we get a convicted and executed murderer out of Tartarus, Missy just happens to be the victim of an attempted murder by one of our friends? Sure, that's not enough evidence. If I killed you......it would be justice, clean and fair, I would be sending a murderer back where she belongs, where she was destined to be." Fire put a small amount of pressure on the trigger.

"As I said before, I was framed. I was a thief, not a murderer, and I don't think any of that will stand up in a proper court. I don't know about you mayor, but if I heard about a building bring torn down just for having a bit of illegal action, I might start getting the idea of a corrupted government. What if there were innocents in that building? You didn't check, you just blew it up. Now, until you get some legitimate evidence on the culprit, I would advice you to keep control of your town. It won't be long until they start to raise suspicions in the way you run the place"

Fire pulled back the gun and put it away.

"Everypony, this town is under lockdown, until Steel's accomplice is found, and you, I'll be keeping an eye on you, personally." Fire kicked the door open and went to Missy's hospital room.

 

"Siren, I apologise for my dad's actions, my mum's in a come right now, so there's a lot of stress on him right now. All I can do is apologise." Starburst said to her.

Siren watched him leave. "It's fine. It's just a shame I can't look for a proper bed without being accused of attempted murder" she says, straightening her cape. "There doesn't happen to be a hotel or something around here is there? I could use some sleep after today" she said calmly

Starburst was ashamed at what he had done, which is why he wouldn't take the blame, the guilt would be better.

"I don't know about any hotels, I've never needed one." Starburst chuckled. "Now that we know that Steel was the murderer, we can move on, in time, I hope my dad can too." Starburst looked away towards Caramel, she was the only mare he couldn't face at that moment.

"Well, I hope for the best. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to find a place to stay" she said, turning and heading down the street.

 

Caramel noticed starburst and smiled, running up to him. "Oh, I'm glad you didn't get hurt. What happened? I thought I heard some kind if explosion" she said, a little worried.

Fire sat by Missy's bed, Twilight had been in already, she had been told by Fire to go home, not to worry about the town's business.

 

Starburst had an idea. "Come on, Caramel, I want to do something." Starburst picked up Caramel and took her to the hospital, to Missy's room.
"Starburst, I don't feel like listening to your rant right now." Fire said.

"No, it's not that, there's something I want to tell you, and mum." Starburst replied, walking over to the bed. "Mum, Dad, a few days ago, me and Caramel........ we're engaged, in a way."

Fire looked over to Starburst, unsure of how to react.

Stephan entered back into the hospital. Upon entering, he turned his gaze to Fire Horn and grunted at him. He then walked past Starburst and Caramel without saying a word and sat across from them. He let out a big sigh.

"Well, you did it. You caught the culprit, Fire. Good for you." He said. "And only 70 ponies killed in the process."

"I caught nopony, and I'm well aware of the casualties, I took down an illegal operation in my town, if fighting potential organised crime is bad, then sure, I'm evil." Fire said. "Can we not talk about this here." Fire walked out of the door and waited for Stephan.

"After you and Fire are done talking, I want to tell you something." Starburst said.

Moon had gone back to the hospital after the lockdown. She entered the room to check on Siri, who was pretty much fine and hugged her gently.

 

Meanwhile on the other hand, Zeta had gone back home and set in Grand's bed. He became worried about her, wondering where she went unless...

That explosion.

Was she in the middle of it? And whoever did that, was it purposely?

It made him cry somewhat to think about it, now that he was worried even more that she had died. "Oh, Grand... Where did you go..?"
