"It seems we can't go very long without something happening." Missy said, then pouring a cup of tea for Fire.
"Thank you, and I agree, one day we'll have a peaceful life, yes, one day..." Fire said. "But until then, we'll just have to deal with what we're given." Missy leaned her head on Fire.

"Do you think so?" She asked.

"I know so." Fire replied.

The surgery was finished within the next half hour. The doctors walked out to Fire and Missy to tell the news.

"Good news. You're friend made it through the surgery okay." said one of the stallion surgeons. "Though, there is one problem; the hind leg that was disfigured couldn't fully be fixed. It needs to move back into place on it's own. Until then, he can leave and celebrate Hearth's Warming, but he'll have to get around in a wheelchair."

"Well, that's good." Missy said. "So, he'll be alright to take home?"

"I'll go find Moon. I'll be back soon." Fire said, giving Missy a kiss.

Missy followed the doctor to Stephan's room and waited for him to wake up.

 

He walked back to the house, she was still in the room where Stephan was.

"Moon, I need to talk to you about our issue," Fire said.

When Stephan awoken, the doctor took the oxygen mask off of Stephan's face.

"Well, how do you feel, sir?" The doctor asked.

"Terrible. But, at least I don't feel like all of my bones are broken anymore." Stephan joked.

"You should feel lucky. A few more shots to the head and that stallion could've given you brain damage." The doctor said. Stephan than turned to Missy. 

"Hey, Missy. Didn't expect to see you here. Y'know, with the wing and everything..." He said.

"Well, I'm waiting here for Fire to come back with Moon, I'd rather not tell you, I think it's best you hear it from him." Missy said. "And the wing, I've gotten used to it, I'm thinking about just getting the other one taken away, no point in having one without the other." Missy smiled at Stephan.

Stephan smiled back at Missy.

"At least you'll still have a horn, right?" He then turned back to the doctor.
"Sir, I'm afraid you will have to stay in this wheelchair until your hind leg is properly recovered." The doctor said. "Don't worry. You only need to be in it for a couple weeks. You'll be back up to your hooves in no time." Stephan's ears dropped when he heard that. He gave a small sigh and carefully placed himself on the wheelchair.

"Should we go?" He asked Missy.

"Yes, we should get going. I'm sure Grand will be pleased to see you out so soon." Missy said with a smile, grabbing the handles of the wheelchair with her magic. "I just think we all need to take it easy for a few months, we've got a wedding coming up remember. That's gonna be a stressful time for all of us. How do you think Grand's gonna be, her sister getting married before her?"

"I would expect her to be at least a little proud of her little sister. I mean, I'm proud of Starburst for working up the courage to ask her into marriage." Stephan said, looking back to her as she pushes. "But, yeah, maybe we should just take it easy. Though, that's a little hard to do when Zeta is still stuck in prison."

"He was never really the most confident little colt in the playground, he would never talk to anypony, so he never really made any friends." Missy said. "But now, he's got Caramel, and they're a really great couple, and they've been through a lot together, and I know they love each other a lot."

Grand was back at the house, sitting quietly at the coffee table. She felt immensely guilty for being the cause of all this. At least she made sure Stephan would be safe, but now she had to find a way to get Zeta out. She sighed, looking down at her cup of coffee. "How in equestria am I going to get out of this one" she said quietly to herself

"I just hope that Starburst knows that he's getting himself into a very heavy commitment. I've never had a wife, but I can understand how heavy it can be." Stephan and Missy then walked out of the hospital. "So, should we go to Grand so she knows I made it out okay?"

"Good Idea, she's probably freaking out anyway." Missy said, on their way back Missy decided it might be good to tell him about her wedding. "I don't know if I've ever told you about the day of my wedding, it was terrifying, it really was. Knowing that in a few minutes I would be married, I was scared."

"Well, you told me about how you and Fire met, but you've never really mentioned anything about your wedding." Stephan said, leaning back in the chair and trying to relax. "You can tell me about it to get it out of your system. Well, that is, if you feel like you want to." He said.

"Yeah, I was with Twilight at the Grand Galloping Gala, that's the first time I ever saw him. He was a real gentlecolt, I just assumed it was because he was from Canterlot, but I guess that's not really true, he really is a nice stallion." Missy said. "Anyway, it was about 10 minutes before the ceremony, naturally I was freaking out."

 

Twilight had just spent the better part of the day trying to coax me out of my bed, so I was standing there in my dress, I was crying. Well, because I was starting to doubt myself.

"I can't marry him, I can't marry anypony, I'm just the pony that nopony wanted." I said, I was staring into a mirror and my own reflection scared me. But Twilight walked to my side, all confident and told me:

"Hey, a few years ago, at my coronation, I was nervous too, even after, trying to fit into my new role was nerve-wracking, but I got through it, I had to be strong, just like you have to be strong now, so follow me." Twilight then showed me the breathing action she had learned from Cadance, and within a few minutes, I was calm.

"Well, like I said, marriage is a very heavy thing. But, I've never really known you as the type of mare to get nervous over such a thing." Stephan commented. "But, I see a legitimate connection between you and Fire. I remember years back when you and him were separat-" Stephan stopped in mid-sentence. "Sorry. You probably don't want that brought up again."

Missy stopped and looked away from Stephan, then walked in front of the wheelchair and looked at him.

"I don't know if I've told you before, but when I was a filly, I was abandoned by my parents, probably left to die." Missy said. "And since then, I've always had a fear, a fear of being abandoned, a fear of never being good enough for anypony, over time I have come to terms with it, but the time me and him were seperated is just something I don't talk about, I can't bear to relive those memories."

Stephan lowered his head in sorrow. He knew he shouldn't have brought it up. He grabbed the wheels of his chair and began to manually get himself going.

"I'm sorry for bringing it up, Missy." He said,  continuing on his way to Grand's place.

"No, it's no problem Stephan, you didn't know about it." Missy said, walking alongside him. Once they reached Grand's place, Missy wheeled him inside. "We're back Grand, no need to worry anymore." Missy walked in front of the wheelchair. "Come find me later, we'll talk more okay?" Missy winked at Stephan and walked away.

Moon was still in bed with the covers over her in the spare bedroom. She heard Fire walk in, so she got out (( since she was awake )) and faced him. "Yes Fire, what do you want to talk about? Are you still having trouble trying to forget about last night. Because I can help with that you know, maybe some meditation can make you forget."

Grand looked to see Stephan and her face relaxed. She walked over to him, examining him. "Are you feeling alright? Did they give you enough painkiller? The stitching seems alright, seems those doctors CAN do something right" she said, checking all his wounds carefully.

Stephan watched as Missy left he smiled. He could notice a legitimate friendship between the two, even though the two don't speak all that much. Stephan turned his head back and knocked on Grand's door and sat back in the chair, waiting for an answer.

"No, it's not about that, it's been nagging me ever since this morning, you have to go to a doctor and find out if you're pregnant or not, this is very serious it's not something you can just shrug off." Fire said.

 

Starburst tried a spell but his horn just sparked and fizzled out.

"This has happened before, don't worry about it. Had to use a potion, but I have a feeling that won't work this time." Starburst said.

"Ummm, I think they did a fine job on me, Grand. Don't worry about it." Stephan said, noticing that she was checking his stitches and wounds. "They probably injected a few painkillers into me when I was about to wake up, because I feel little pain. Problem is, I'm stuck to this wheelchair until my hind leg fully heals."

Caramel thought for a moment. "We could ask Twilight,she might have something to use" she said with a smile.b"are you still feeling a bit woozy?"

 

Grand took a step back and nodde. "Well it shouldn't take long to heal, a few weeks at the most" she said, a little numb. "Are you hungry? I can make some dinner if your like"

Moon looked to Fire seriously, still stern about last night. "Fire... I'd ask you to guess how many times i've been, er... Filled up before, but if you really want me to, then fine.. It's just going to be a waste of money though, but i'll do it." She walked off and put on a scarf before heading out the door, but turned around. "Actually honey, would you want to follow me to the doctors? I'd like another pony with me, especially a good friend."
