Stephan helped Zeta to the shoreline and he dived right into the water. The water felt really fresh, clear, and clean on his skin. He began to swim around underwater as if he were a human again. He went back up for some air and laughed as he swam. "I can't believe  I forgot how fun this was!"

Steel nodded and moved to th bushes without a sound when he look in them to see why was going on he saw Missy and fire makingout he just walked away without a word "guys it's all good it's just fire and Missy having some fun in the bushes" steel yelled so that Missy and fire would hear him

He gave a smile, watching the two splash out in the water together while he took a seat. It was nice to watch his friend and somepony he loved play around, having a good time since Zeta hasn't seen a moment like this in a while.

After a bit, he decided to call out to Stephan.

 

"Hey Stephan.. I hate to admit, but you two would look to make a fine couple now in the water, wouldn't you say?"

Missy and Fire heard somepony coming their way, so they both got up, looking rather shifty and seeing Steel.
"This isn't over Fire, we'll continue later." Missy said., walking past Steel and looking at him with the same expression, then she ran towards the water but hesitated.
"Dammit, why can't I do anything fun except Fire Horn?"

(Filling for a post sandwich of sex, zombies and comedy, how's that for an RP?)

Stephan heard what Zeta said and he flushed red. "Well, ummm... actually, yeah. Maybe we do." He looked towards Grand and gave her a warm smile and a wink.

"Actually about that Stephan..."

 

"I was wondering if I could drop out of our little challenge to see who gets Grand. She's an especially hyper girl, and you would be much better suited then that for me, since all I really want is a quiet life. You know, how about it's because of that I owed you for something back in the day? I wouldn't really remember if there was a day like that, but just assume so, okay?"

Zeta paused for a little bit, nodding his head afterward.

 

"Like some ponies would say, she's all yours.."

If you're willing to give up Grand for yourself so I can have her as my first mare friend..." Stephan smiled but felt a bit bad. "I just want everypony to be happy. That's my main goal in my life. That's what keeps me adventuring and alive."

"Don't worry about me, Stephan. I actually think that my life would be better suited with just me living out by myself rather then having a mare with me. It's been a while before I could realize it, but if that's where fate sends me then that's where i'm going to go."

He lifted up his left hoof, not caring if it was broken or not and gave him a long hug. Maybe Zeta was right for once, since every time he's gotten with a mare it's always turned out bad.

Steel walked over to the shore " hey Stephan I needto talk to you later when you get the time" steel said as he sat down and examined his broken wing "does anypony know how long this will take to heal"steel asked he wanted to fly again and he couldn't hunt demonblood without his wings

Stephan was shocked, but he hugged Zeta back. Stephan was a little bit sad for Zeta, but he was also happy. He then let and smiled at him. "I hope your future is just as good as I envision mine."

Missy stood in the warm glow of the sunshine taking it all in, the wind blew against her so she decided to extend her wings, the feeling was great, she felt free, not just physically, but her mind wandered to other places, possibilities that were now possible.

After Stephan was led away from both of them, he looked at Grand, watching as she was still having a good time in the water. Maybe she might of heard it or not, but if not then in time he would tell her.

For now, he just watched that happy time she was having, knowing that even if they got a small reward for completing the mission, it would be alright.

Fire Horn walked up behind Missy to her side.
"How are you feeling?" Fire asked.
"Relaxed. You?" Missy asked.
"I'm fine, just wanted you to know that we're leaving for the boat in a few hours so.....soak it all in, the land of the zebras." Missy simply said meh and went back to her meditating, she felt so relaxed, she walked out onto the water and stood on it's surface.

Ink has been writing for hours now, he wrote down every single moments that he had with the group, and he'd never thought that he would survived all of this. despite after having his very soul sucked out of him. Ink decided that he would wait along side the others, instead of being always in solitary mode.

Stephan let out a slight "heh." "Is that it? Just leave it to me." Stephan said to him. "I'll be able to cover a lot of ground once we get back to Equestria." He then walked to Fire Horn.

"It's a meditation thing, we can't talk to her or say anything loud, or we'll distract her." Fire whispered to Stephan. "It's a complete state of relaxation, harnessing subtle magic in the air around her to levitate water molecules to make a platform below her hooves for her to stand on. It's an amazing thing, really."

"Yes, i think it does anyway, just don't speak loudly." Fire whispered to Ink.

Missy slowly started moving her hooves backwards without making any sudden movements, she reached the shore again.

"Ah, that was good. Great way to practice magic without using magic." Missy yelled excitedly.

"Right, well, every-pony, follow me, we're going home." Fire said as he started walking towards where their yacht was docked.

 

-3 days later-

 

Along the way, they had seen some very uplifting things, like people relieved to be reunited with their family once again.

"Fire, you ready to go back to normal?" Missy asked, hesitantly. Fire pulled her into a hug.

"We'll never return to normal completely, but that won't stop us from trying." Fire replied.

They were on the train headed back to Canterlot, the bridge had been fixed and so had the train by some very kind engineers.

Zeta who was in the very back of the train cart, had taken a rest alone on one of the seats. His ribs hadn't been treated yet, but hopefully they had some doctors on standby in Canterlot when they got there. His breathing had changed as well, going into sort of like a pant more then a regular breath, but it didn't change much for him.

 

Alone.

 

Maybe it was best for him, since it was an easier life rather then having to take care of somepony and even a couple colts or fillys as well. But he took his mind off the thought and continued to lay there, breathing away at what was coming up next.

Grand smiled as she watched out the window of the train. Farms were being rebuilt, families hugged each other tightly, and the whole land looked healthier. Not a walking corpse in sight. Zeta would be the first to reply, still lying down in his seat. "I've head one family was reunited with their son after he had turned to the infected. But even so that came all the way from the Outer Flanks down south, so the story might be altered a little bit."

"Well, yeah, in a way." Stephan chimed in.  "When the rainbow went all over the planet, it brought almost everything back to normal. I'm just taking an educated guess, but I think it changed all of the undead that were still walking back into ponies or foals." He said. "If that's the case, we'll need to find your sister. She must be worried sick out in the Everfree."

He wanted to look up to Stephan, but chances are it would hurt to so he kept his face down. "I'll be fine Stephan, please don't worry about me. Honestly I already have a life planned out for when we get back, though it's going to take some time to settle in and get used to it. And if it's about Grand, then whatever it is i'm okay with it. I still love her, but you're the one who should take good care and make sure she stays safe."
