Stephan and Light kept making way across the ocean. Stephan felt free with the wind blowing through his mane.

"I have to say; running along the water feels much faster than just simply sailing on a yacht."
Light was breathing a bit heavily. "That's easy for you to say. You won't slow down for a flipping second for somepony to catch up!"

Stephan looked to Light. "Don't worry, man. We're coming in on the island. We'll be there shortly."

"What exactly do you mean by that?" The zebra asked quizzically.

"What it means, is that I have a special talent, as you can see on my cutie mark." Starburst explained. "It means I can see things that most others can't. Something that everyone wants to see, but never do until it comes."

Finally, the moment had arrived.

It had taken a while for this operation to go, considering that it was both underground and it was the first time ever doing anything like this. But nonetheless, they finished with both joy and sadness.

They took him up back to his original spot after everything, setting the bed with him in it back in place with all the different monitors going off to make sure he was sustained. Zeta's heartbeat was slow, but steady with no fluxuation of any sort so they doctors and nurses put away the equipment and let him there to rest.

 

A messenger was sent to Grand, as he ran across Canterlot to inform her of the news. Eventually, the little colt reached up to their house and gave a knock on the door.

Grand sighed and tried to shake this feeling off her, but she couldn't. Suddenly the door knocked so she went to answer it. The little colt handed her the paper and ran hurriedly away to the next house. Grand read the note and her eyes grew wide as her heart stopped. "HE'S ALIVE!" Was all she said as she dropped the note and ran out if the house, headed straight for the hospital

Missy got up and ran off with Grand. He's alive, she must mean Zeta.

"Zeta's alive? That's great news." Missy said.

 

Fire was running to check on Zeta, if he had died......Fire tried not to think of that.

 

This only served to make the zebras more annoyed.

"Speak words, imbocile!" The zebra yelled, furthering the knife at Starburst.

"All in good time." Starburst smirked again.

Yes indeed, Zeta was alive but he wasn't well.

The operation had put him in a hugely weakened state so he needed some time to recover. But even so, it was a miracle how the doctors were able to take care of everything pretty well.

His body had large stitches in two spots, the third being in a different area where parts were removed and such. It looked more like battle scars when you thought about it, but no it certainly wasn't that.

 

He woke up, slowly but looked around the room in a blurred vision. The first thing Zeta noticed was his slow breathing and the fact that he couldn't move much without all of his body hurting. He didn't care about that much, since it would go away but he wanted to know if everypony was alright or not.

Grand stormed into the hospital, marching right up to the desk, "where is zeta?" She said, not bothering to be polite

"Right down the hallway, last door on your left miss" she said, a little shocked at her forwardness.

Grand hurried down the hall and opened the door, seeing zeta alive. She burst into tears and ran upto his bed, hugging him tightly.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't there when you had got the surgery, I'm do thankful you're alive!" She said, holding onto him tightly

After a while, Stephan and Light got up to the shore of the island.

"THIS is where you guys saved Equestria?" Light questioned. "This island's a dump!"

Stephan rolled his eyes. "That's because this whole island inhabits zebras. HUNDREDS of them." The duo then saw a group of zebras at some sort of camp, talking with a hooded pony. "Speak of the devil." Stephan said. The two began to slowly walk to the group, hoping they can reason with them.

Starburst noticed the two coming up behind him.

"I've been waiting a while for you. You're late." Starburst said sarcastically, earning more anger from the zebra, who was getting angrier by the second. "I don't need your help, I'm just playing with them." Starburst pushed his hoof forward, knocking the knife-wielding zebra away, ducking while the zebras tried to impale him, but hit each other. Using a spell, he knocked all the zebras away into the air.

Grand stormed into the hospital, marching right up to the desk, "where is zeta?" She said, not bothering to be polite

"Right down the hallway, last door on your left miss" she said, a little shocked at her forwardness.

Grand hurried down the hall and opened the door, seeing zeta alive. She burst into tears and ran upto his bed, hugging him tightly.

He cringed at her hug, feeling pain spread around his body as he murmured out. "Ur, ur.. Grand, please get, off..."

But the sight of her made him happy, showing a smile to know that she was okay from the changeling thing. Once he recovered, Zeta thought of maybe doing something with her, just for the love.

"Uhn........... Grand... Where is, everypony else..?"

Grand released him carefully. "I apologize, I'm just... I'm so happy you're alright. Missy is in the hospital somewhere, Firehorn is somewhere in canter lot, and I'm not sure where Stephan went off to" she said, trying to calm herself down. "You look so ill... Is there Anything I can do to help?"

Missy and Fire turned up in the hospital room.

"Zeta, you look awful, how are you feeling?" Missy asked.
"Yeah, we thought we'd lose you for a minute, buddy." Fire said. "We were going to leave for Ponyville tomorrow but, we can't exactly abandon you here now, can we?"

The two stallions were baffled by what they saw. They had no idea who was under the hood, but the voice sounded familiar. But he couldn't think about it too much. This hooded stallion was a badass for sure.

Stephan walked up to the pony. "That... was amazing." He told him. "But, actually, we could use some assistance. We're trying to find our friend, Starburst. I think he's still alive on this island." He explained.

Grand released him carefully. "I apologize, I'm just... I'm so happy you're alright. Missy is in the hospital somewhere, Firehorn is somewhere in canter lot, and I'm not sure where Stephan went off to" she said, trying to calm herself down. "You look so ill... Is there Anything I can do to help?"

"You are already here, which is plenty of help.." He gave a little weak laugh, coughing afterwards before lying in bed full of pain.

"You know, maybe I should tell you something later, but it seems we have more visitors..

 

Missy and Fire turned up in the hospital room.

"Zeta, you look awful, how are you feeling?" Missy asked.

"Yeah, we thought we'd lose you for a minute, buddy." Fire said. "We were going to leave for Ponyville tomorrow but, we can't exactly abandon you here now, can we?"

Zeta looked to the two other ponies that entered, listening to both of them with curiosity. "I'm feeling horrible.. Thanks Missy... And I really want to come with you to ponyville, to see my old apartment again.."

"Oh, Starburst huh?" Starburst turned around and pulled down his hood. "I'm right here, Stephan." Starburst looked like he wanted to kill Stephan, he had a scar on the left side of his face, where Grand had stabbed him. "What makes you think coming back here was a good idea? I'm being chased, no, hunted.....by both plainstrider and hajoon clans because I killed their leaders."

Stephan began to explain, not looking phased. "I came back to see if you were alive. I had a vision of it. And it seems as if it was right." He told him. "I came back to this island with my friend, Light Streak, to take you back to Canterlot. I mean, don't you miss your mom? Or your dad?" He asked.

"I don't. I mean.....yes, I miss them both, but maybe it's best that I stay here, you two should leave, although if you are interested in staying, I've got a job to do, involving an assassination contract and a big-headed zebra." Starburst put up his hood and covered his muzzle with a mask. "Unless you have any reason for me to leave, I'm staying."
"Sorry, I should go, I'll schedule something important with my doctor, i saw her while I was coming up here." Missy started cantering away happily.

Grand smiled at zeta. "If you think you'll be okay by tomorrow we can go. We will be going by train, so nothing too difficult. Seems like ill be spending a lot if my time in hospitals for awhile" she said with a laugh. "And you can tell me anything, I'll wait until the other two leave" she said so only zeta could hear

"Actually, I don't think it matters now.." He replied, smiling while putting his hoof to her face to touch. "There is many things I keep secret in my life, including my name. And if you didn't know, I've been using my last name as a cover.. It's Hyperion Zeta, but I wanted to get away from that name from my past life."

After speaking that, his heartbeat started to go a little faster, stabilizing there. "But since it's now, i'm just glad you're alive and well..."

"When we go to ponyville, I want all of you to meet my sister, she would be overjoyed to meet such brave ponies. She's always been one for adventure" she smiled, watching Missy leave the room, likely something to do with the baby

"Hyperion hmm? That's an interesting name, but I think zeta suits you better, if I were to say" she said happily. "When we go to ponyville, I want all of you to meet my sister, she would be overjoyed to meet such brave ponies. She's always been one for adventure" she smiled, watching Missy leave the room, likely something to do with the baby

"Most ponies tell me that, and by most ponies I mean you, Moon, and Missy.. Paint didn't mind calling me Hyperion, but.. Ehheh..~"

He watched the alicorn walk out, turning back to Grand after she had left and closed the door. "Meeting your sister would be nice, but after that, I kind of want to do something with you. Maybe, go out.. Look around a little bit, and see the world again..."

Grand smiled. "I would like that, once Equestria is back to normal, I would love to see every inch of it. Ive seen quite alot of it, but ive been more busy with surviving than sightseeing" SHe said with a bit of a laugh. "Can you imagine how lovely Appleloosa will be once its back to its formal glory?"

Grand smiled. "I would like that, once Equestria is back to normal, I would love to see every inch of it. Zeta thought a little bit, looking back at Appleloosa to remember the past experience with it. "Hey, isn't that the place where you were bitten by the one trotter?" Moving his eyes to see the artificial let that was there. To be honest, it was a bad experience but he had to ask about it. "I'd be sorry if it offends you to bring it back up..."

Stephan put his hoof on Starburst's shoulder. "Starburst, you're mom... she's having another child. You're going to have another sibling. And, every time I see your mother, she always brings you up, and it just scars her with the thought of you being dead." He told him. "If you won't come back, could you at least give us some sort of evidence to let them know you're alive?"

Starburst was speechless, he had no idea what to say, what he could say. A brother or a sister, that completely changed things.

"Well." Starburst said, turning to Stephan. "In that case, I think we should get to Equestria pronto." He looked around them.

"I don't know if you've noticed, but we're a bit short on transport."

 

Missy was seeing Doctor Helpinghoof, she was getting an examination, her stomach was beginning to expand.

"So, how is my little foal?" Missy asked worriedly.

"She's doing just fine." Dr. Helpinghoof said, this made Missy incredibly happy.

"A she. You mean I'm having a little filly?" Missy asked, exited.

"You sure are." Came the reply.
