Suddenly, two bandits burst through the door.

"Lookie what we have he..." Starburst stabbed the bandit mid-sentence and threw the other out of the now-destroyed hospital.

Starburst didn't have time to wait, he grabbed Caramel, putting her on his back and flying out into the warzone.

"We have to get you to safety." Starburst said, flying away from Ponyville.

 

Fire was having a bit of bother with a couple of bandits brandishing daggers.

 

Missy was being kept away from the fighting due to obvious reasons of pregnancy.

Grand awoke suddenly, looking out the window as debris flew through the broken windows. She could barely hear zetas voice through the explosions. She hurried to her hooves and grabbed the pistol before heading out the door. As soon as she got outside, explosions went off all around her.

Stephan put Grand on his back and grabbed Zeta's front leg as they ran quickly out of the exploding building. He tried to get the group to a safe area and put Grand down. "What the hell is going on??" Stephan yelled.

 

-Up in the air-

Light took to the skies to avoid the explosions as he looked for Stephan on the ground. The smoke from the explosions made it hard for him to track Stephan down, though.

Stephan ran next to Grand as they ran through the explosions. "What is going on?? Who would've set off explosions in a ruined place like this??" He yelled at the top of his lungs. He grabbed one of Grand's front legs and took off in a blur, picking up the pace in an effort to get away from the blasts.

Starburst landed on a hill far away from Ponyville.
"Stay here, don't let anypony know you're here. Don't say anything, just wait here." Starburst was about to fly off. "I'll be back for you."

 

Missy was hiding in the lab of the library. She could hear explosions everywhere.

Starburst flew down to Stephan.

"I've gotten her to safety." Starburst yelled. "I'm going to go back to keep an eye on her though." Starburst flew off in the direction of where he left Caramel and landed next to her, she looked cold, so he took off his cloak and put it over her and sat next to her as well.

Grand was in a blur. "Wait, what about zeta?" She said, her vision blurry. "My sister! We have to go back for my sister!" She said, trying to see through the smoke. "We have to help these people! We can't run away!"

 

 

Caramel hugged the colt tightly. She looked down below at the explosions. "There's innocent ponies getting hurt down there..." She said meekly. Thus was the first time she's been out of the hospital in weeks and she was still extremely weak

"I'm right here with Stephan, don't worry." He replied, going over to help Grand up from the bed. The room was indeed smoking, which started to get to Zeta's lungs as he coughed a bit, but brought her with Stephan out of the house to see what has happened. "Oh man, it's gotten horrible.."

It was a long shot, but he was going to give it a try. As Stephan ran at incredible speeds, he grabbed everypony he could see while running and put them in the blur, making it larger and larger with each pony. "Don't worry about Caramel! She's safe with Starburst!" He yelled out to Grand.

Starburst looked at the destruction going on, it was terrible, so shortly after they'd arrived, they were thrust into the fire again.

"Don't worry, it'll all be alright, anyway, you must be important to a friend of mine, Stephan." Starburst was thinking about his family at that moment.

Grand looked at the town. She wouldnt give up on it. She would be back to fix it, nothing would stop her from doing so. "What about Missy and Firehorn? where are they?" SHe said, looking around

 

 

Caramel shivered and wrapped the cape around her tightly. "Thanks. I'm Caramel by the way, just thought you should know" She said, coughing. "I'm really sorry but... I really cant move much. If we have to go anywhere, I wont be able to get there myself... I'm still pretty ill." She said, feeling a little guilty for not being able to do much,

Fire Horn was wielding two swords in front of him, they were on fire to dissuade anyone from attacking him, that obviously wasn't working so he started killing them instead.

 

"Well, Caramel, I'm just glad I was able to get you out of that place, it's a nightmare." Starburst said.

Stephan looked around while he ran, but neither Fire or Missy entered his line of sight. He then remembered back to when they first arrived in Ponyville. Twilight wanted Missy and Fire to go to a library to help restore it. "I might know where she is."  Stephan immediately changed his direction to the library.

Steel followed the bandits add they ran but soon after they ran into the forest he lost sight of them "damn it" steel staff as he liked around he didn't see them but he saw starburst so he flew over to him and saw that caramel was with him"0hey guys what's up" steel said

Caramel looked at the hooded pegasus and glared at him. "Get out of here bandit, you already destroyed Ponyville, what do you have to gain in killing another two ponies" She said, her voice strained and raspy. she didnt recognize him from before, and the cape looked far too similar to the bandits signature wear

Steel pulled hurts hood off "I'm not a bandit if I was I would have killed you"steel said "I'm steel grabs friend now relax ok starburst what's going on I was chilling on a cloud when some ponies walked into town then bombs started going off is this the raid you was talking about"

Caramel kept her eyes glued onto the pegasus, not sure if she should trust him yet. "Is my sister safe?" She asked, looking at the cloud of ash and smoke cloaked over Ponyville. She was so excited to go home too. "Is Grand hurt? where is she?" Caramel asked, hoping her sister was okay

"I thought the raid was later, but turns out that they had already infiltrated Ponyville, passing themselves off as builders and farmers." The adrenaline was wearing off and Starburst was beginning to feel the sting of where the shrapnel from the explosion hit him. He winced in pain.
"Wait! You're Grand's sister?"

Zeta went on to follow Stephan, but waited for her to come along as well before getting any start whatsoever. "Something bad just had to happen, but luckily you're okay.."

Missy heard a scream of pain come from upstairs, that's where Twilight was. So Missy went up to find Twilight unconcious underneath a pile of rubble.
"Twilight!!" Missy shouted as she ran over and tried to pull the rubble off of her, then a bandit came over to her with a gun.
"Please.....don't..." Before Missy could finish, the bandit shot her in the ear and the chest. She fell unconcious too.


"I'm Starburst, nice to meet you." Starburst said.

Grand walked behind Zeta, looking at the destroyed buildings around her. "Who would do such a thing..." She said devastated. So many ponies had already been so ill and injured, now its even moreso

He looked back at Grand, making sure she was behind before replying. "Only ponies who are wanting to kill us would do this. They must know our weaknesses, and at what time they occurred. Maybe we were being watched, to where the ponies could hear everything we did for the past time.."

The thought made Zeta shudder a bit, but he shook his head and kept walking, library in sight.

"I hope your sister is okay as well."

Grand walked into the library to see some bandits standing over Missy. "You heathens!"She screeched, aiming the pistol and shooting the bandits without a second thought. It wasnt until after the bandits lay on the ground that she realized she had just killed two ponies. She rushed over to Missy. "Missy? come on, wake up" she said, looking at the bullet in her chest. SHe had done it before, she could do it again. At least this time she was already unconcious. She grabbed the bullet with her magic and slowly inched it out of Missys chest. She grabbed some cloth from the torn curtain and began to bandage it up, hoping she wasnt too late

Starburst felt a shock in his system, it was unlike anything he'd felt before, like two gunshots, roaring pain throughout him.
Starburst was speechless, panting as he tried to get his breath back.

Fire heard gunshots coming from the library, the bandits were retreating, so he ran over there to see Missy on the ground, with Twilight trapped under a piece ofvtree.

Caramel looked in horror as Starburst recoiled in pain. She tried to stand up and walk over to him, but could only get a few steps before falling again. "Get away from the guy, you flankholes!" She called out pathetically. She eventually made her way over to Starburst and looked at the wounds. "Is there something I can do?" She asked, hoping the bandits didnt stick around

Starburst was still panting, trying to get his breath back, the pain in his chest was unreal.
"I made.....a......vest, just get this thing loosened, it's....bulletproof, protects against.....bullets." Starburst continued panting, it must just have been the last of the Ponyville assault, seeing him and opening fire.
