Stephan ate his cake quickly, since he wanted to get back out on the path. He left a hefty tip for Pinkie and left to get to the hospital to check on Zeta. When he entered Zeta's room, it looked like he was having a breakdown. "Dude, are you doing okay?" Stephan asked him in a calm tone.

He shook his head to Stephan, still looking sad and gloomy. "What do you think Stephan? Doesn't my sad face, tears, and red eyes tell you anything? Or do I have to show it out to you?"

Then he took a big breath, shaking his head afterwards. "I'm sorry, about that.. I'm no longer in a mood to talk, I just want to rest..."

Stephan's eyes widened at the way he was just yelled at, but he nodded.

"I understand. We've all been through a lot today. Just know that if you need somepony to talk to, you know who to go to. I'll be back at the house if you need me." Stephan went back into Grand's house where he saw Starburst and Caramel laying down next to each other next to the fire. 

"I didn't expect to see you two back here. I thought you'd be at the hospital with your families."

"Okay.." He nodded, giving a weak goodbye wave before turning to Missy when Stephan walked out the door.

After him, Zeta sighed and put both hooves on his face, going through his hair a bit. "All we know is that it's a dream for now, so hopefully it's not true. Maybe when I get the courage, i'll ask Grand about it.."

Starburst was sleeping, so he didn't hear Stephan say anything.

 

Missy nodded. "I guess it's better to have hope than none, I wish I could feel as optimistic." Missy rested her head on the side of the bed. "We've both done things we're not even remotely proud of to Grand, but we can't tell her, unless she remembers it herself."

 

Fire was sitting across from a map, it was getting late, so he decided to head back to the house.

When he arrived, Stephan was standing next to the door.

"Hey, what are you?" He then looked round to see Starburst and Caramel "snuggling". It filled him with happiness to see.

Stephan looked over at Fire chuckled a little. "Ah, young love." He said with a warm smile. "Always brings joy, doesn't it?

 

Light was upstairs in his room making a lot of noise. He tried to keep it quiet, though. He was trying to set up his own personal lab inside his room, since his old lab was pretty much blown up after the outbreak.

Missy nodded. "I guess it's better to have hope than none, I wish I could feel as optimistic." Missy rested her head on the side of the bed. "We've both done things we're not even remotely proud of to Grand, but we can't tell her, unless she remembers it herself."

"I know what you mean." He replied, slowly lying back down on the bed before petting through Missy's mane. "If it really comes down to that I had sex with her, then the only thing is to hope for the worst of what happens. I don't want her to think bad of me because of this, since she as of now is the only reason i'm alive..."

"Yeah, you're right, Zeta." Missy raised her head up and put her hoof on his.(his hoof) "You're one of the most kind-hearted stallions I've ever had the pleasure to know and have as a friend. She might be freaked out at first, but she'll not stay mad at you for long." Missy smiled.

Starburst was woken up by a loud noise coming from up-stairs, he turned around to see Stephan and Fire standing next to the door.

"Dad." Starburst whispered very quietly. "Go and see what Light is doing, tell him to keep it down." Starburst turned around and snuggled into Caramel again.

Fire went upstairs. "Light, what are you doing?"

"I'll just leave the two lovebirds alone. I'm gonna go chat with Zeta for a bit." Stephan jetted out of Grand's house and made his way to the hospital. Once he entered, he went straight up to Zeta's room.

"Zeta, if you don't mind, because I know you're under a lot of stress, could I talk to you for a bit?"

Missy noticed Stephan walked in.

"Oh, I'll speak to you later Zeta, alright?" Missy said, before walking out of the room. She walked back to the house, the cold air getting to her a little bit, reminding of her of how she almost died because of cold. She walked back into the house and saw Caramel and Starburst. She sat down beside Starburst getting his attention.

 

"How are you two? Did your little date go as planned?" Missy teased, Starburst shoved her a little bit.

"It went alright, we're just glad to be back in the warm." Starburst whispered. Missy giggled quietly before getting up and walking to the sofa and lying down to go to sleep.

 

"Starburst?" Missy whispered.

"Yes?" Starburst replied.

"Take care of her, alright?" Missy asked.

Starburst smiled. "Of course." He turned back round to Caramel nuzzling her a bit.

Caramel nuzzled up to Starburst in return, though she didn't wake from her sleep

 

Grand had had enough of visitors so she tried to close her door. But she couldn't. She couldn't do any magic at all it seemed, and she knew right away it was because her magic had been locked. She took a deep breath and laid down in her bed, incredibly confused and slightly scared

He saw Stephan walking in, giving a smile when he asked Zeta that question and pointed to Grand's door first from across the room. "I think a pony that you love wants to rest a bit, but she has that magic lock on her horn so could you help her out before we talk? Oh and same with my door too, unless it's not that important."

Starburst had time to think, so he did, his and Caramel's relationship was getting off the ground, with their recent date, it had been only three months, but he was absolutely and undoubtedly in love with Caramel, it was just a matter of telling her. When Caramel snuggled in even further, Starburst kissed her lightly, so as not to wake her up.

Stephan shrugged. "Well, I don't know much about magic, but I'll try." Stephan exited Zeta's room and proceeded to Grand's room. Conveniently, both rooms seemed to be right across from each other. Stephan then walked in. "Heard you got a little problem with your magic, Grandy." Stephan said upon walking in. "What can I do to help?"

Grand looked at him. "No, only the pony who locked it can unlock it, but I have no idea who it was. I would appreciate it if you would just close the door for me, thank you Stephan. "She said tightly as she tapped her hooves together distractedly. "I just need some rest"

Pinkie hopped back over with a random-looking cake.

"You said surprise you, so I did, surprise!" Pinkie said. When she hopped out of the door realising that she was off-work, she immediately felt tired, so she went back home to sleep, to start the next day.

Steel are half of the cake then tossed some bits in the table before waking out into the snow he flew to his house and grabbed a blanket before going to a clearing in the woods the and thought about moonbeam and what she had most likely gone through since demonblood abducted her he covered up and went to sleep

"Huh, what?" Zeta replied, a little confused at what was going on at the moment when he said that. "What do you mean sorry about the door, and my head? Wait... Hold on, did you hit my head and me into the door? Because if that's what you're saying, I don't remember it at all.."

Starburst fell asleep, he dreamt, dreamt about Caramel, they were flying through the air, Caramel was sat on his back while they flew. They were having fun, when they landed, bandits came out of the forest, took Caramel and just before he woke up, the bandits killed her and him. Starburst woke up suddenly with a start. Looking to either side, he noticed Caramel was still there.

"Well, if I told you, it'd probably upset you, but I'll just leave out the bad stuff." He said. "You were overcome with greed and you tried to brutally hurt me. You started with charging me into a wall. I came back at you with a flurry of hooves and I kicked you through the door. So, yeah. Sorry about that."

"No it's alright, I believe you." Zeta said back, giving a smile. "If it was worth getting that greed out of me, then i'm fine with it. Honestly I can still feel the hit on my chest and stuff, but it doesn't really hurt much. I guess that's good, hm?" He did his best to sound happy with his voice, and apparently was succeeding.

Caramel awoke to Starbursts sudden movements. She yawned and rubbed her eyes. "Wh-whats going on?" She said tiredly as she yawned and stretched.

 

Grand layed in her bed and tried to fall asleep but her mind was too full of questions to get to sleep. She hoped she could find whoever put the lock on her horn so she could use magic again

"Nothing, Caramel, just....just a bad dream." Starburst sighed, he knew what the dream meant, but he didn't want to tell Caramel or anypony else, because that would make them think he was clingy. Starburst looked round to see Missy sleeping on the sofa quietly.

Stephan nodded. He filled him in on a little more. "You charging me into a wall freaking hurts, by the way." He said, holding one of his front legs around his torso. "Around the subject, I've heard that you and Grand have been having terrible images in your heads. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, but... what have you been seeing?"

"Around the subject, I've heard that you and Grand have been having terrible images in your heads. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, but... what have you been seeing?"

He shook his head. "It's something I don't want to talk about, not to anypony really. I'm sorry Stephan if you're a little disappointed, and i'm also sorry for charging you into a wall."

After saying that, Zeta sighed at the dream he had. Hopefully in his mind, it was never real and would never be.
