Stephan put his hoof on Zeta's shoulder. "Look, man, I'd never want you to kill yourself. You're one of my best pals, even if we are going after the same mare. That's never going to change." He assured him. "Anyways, I'm gonna go spend some time with that mare. I'll talk to you later." He waved and ran off back to Grand. "Sorry about that. May I please enter your humble abode?" He asked her.

Grand had been trying to desmoke the house while the two argued. "You two should maybe do your baking elsewhere next time" She said as she opened up the last of her windows before returning to the door. "Now, what were you planning Stephan?" She said with a smile

 

Caramel had taken no notice of her sister and instead had begun the next batch of cupcakes

"We can make cupcakes, granted it hasn't worked the last 2 times, but we'll do it this time." Starburst said.

 

Missy was out collecting fruit from some bushes outside Ponyville, when she noticed something, She flew as fast as she could back to the town hall.

Caramel nodded and pulled up the recipe. "Ohhh.  it says here to use a cup of flour, not a sack. That might help us out. They did seem pretty dry" She said as she placed the recipe book down. "I guess im not as good at baking as I am at confectionaries" She giggled before dumping the flour into a new bowl

Starburst started laughing.

"Did we really use a sack of flour to make a tray of cupcakes, I wouldn't even think you could fit a sack of flour into a bowl, but somehow you made it possible." Starburst stopped laughing and looked at Caramel deeply, he still hadn't told her, it was never an appropriate time.

Stephan walked into the house and noticed that it was smokier than a forest fire. He coughed a little bit. "Sorry... Anyways, I'm so glad to see you out of the hospital, along with Zeta. I was coming here to see if you'd probably want to do something together today. You know, if you don't already have plans."

After the little talk both ponies had, Zeta quietly left the group still saddened by the thought of everything. He hadn't been talking much, and is pretty much separated off from Grand after admitting they had sex. So he wandered through the new Ponyville, seeing more and more ponies start to go through the town as the day passed by.

Starburst snapped out of his awe-like state and gave Caramel a kiss, over the past month, he'd gained more self-confidence, so he kissed her on the lips this time.

"You want to do something later? Maybe go to Baltimare for a few days, I've heard it's practically bandit free." Starburst said.

Grand smiled and grabbed her coat before leaving the house. "Alright Stephan, what do you have in mind?" She asked with a smile

 

Caramel kissed him back. "All the way to baltimare? Do you think fire Missy and Grand would be okay with that? Especially for more than a few days"

"I'm sure they won't mind, they'll probably think of it as.....nice, that we're doing something like this together and we don't need to go to Baltimare." Starburst said. "The best place to go to during the winter is actually the frozen falls of serenity, it's a small bit north from here,but the sunlight makes the ice look like diamond."

"Oooooh that sounds gorgeous! I would love to go there. But Baltimare would be nice too. What do you think?" She asked as she started to fill up the cupcake tins. She looked at the massive mess they had made and sighed, brushing a hair out of her face before popping the cupcake tin into the oven

Missy arrived at the town hall, out of breath.

"Fire. We've got problems." Missy said.

"What kind of problems?" Fire asked.

4 explosions in succession were heard, Fire ran outside the town hall. They were under attack. Steel was up in the air around Ponyville, a gunshot, hitting him in the wing and knocking him to the ground.

 

Starburst was about to answer when some explosions happened. He turned quickly around.
"Caramel, stay with me." Starburst walked slowly over to the window and closed all of the curtains.

Steel was looking for the gets source of the explosions when he got shot in the wing but he feel to the ground he got up ignoring the pain in his wing he spotted he pony responsible "you'll pay for that"steel growled

Stephan quickly turned around at the sound of explosions.

"Damn it! Every time! Come on, Grand. Looks like we've got more problems." Stephan ran to the town hall with Grand in a flash. He was pissed off that this stuff had to happen on a great day like this. Somepony was about to hear from him. He screeched to a halt at the explosion sight. He then saw Steel on the ground, bleeding from one of his wings.

"Whoever did this, come down here and fight me face-to-face!" He shouted.

A bandit came from behind Stephan and knocked both of them to the ground and tied them up in the centre of town.

Another bandit shot an electrified dart at Steel, incapacitating him.

 

Starburst turned back to Caramel. "We should be safe as long as we...." Bandits knocked down the door, Starburst quickly moved to guard Caramel. "Don't touch her, or...." The bandit charged at him, he tried to block the attack but the stallion was much bigger than he was and Starburst was smacked aside and knocked unconcious.

 

Bandits pointed guns at  Fire and Twilight, forcing them to go to where they were gathering everypony. In the middle of the town, where the mayor usually gathers the citizens.

Grand squirmed as she was tied up. Her mouth was taped shut so she could do nothing but watch what was happening around her

 

"Leave him alone!" Caramel said in a harsh voice, using her magic to start tossing kitchen knives at the bandits, trying to distract them from Starburst

"You're a feisty one aren't you?" The bandit said, signalling for another to grab her. The other bandit tied her up, they took both Starburst and Caramel to the town centre.

 

There was a circle of ponies in front of the town hall, with guns pointed at them.

A distinuished looking stallion got up on the podium.

"Alright, let me tell you how this is going to work. You are going to give me Twilight Sparkle, or I will start killing your citizens, one by one, execution style." Twilight got up and walked to the front.

"What is this about? Why are yo...?" Twilight began to ask.

"All in good time, my dear." The leader said.

Stephan got a clear cut view of the bandits. He then smirked and gave a slight "heh."

"Well, look who came crawling back. Didn't we teach you anything when we blew up your base, or are you just that stubborn?" He asked in a mocking tone. He hoped his big mouth didn't get him and Grand into any trouble.

Starburst was thrown down at the side of the group, so was Caramel, right next to him. Starburst woke up, his head was bleeding from the impact of the bandit's attack. He looked up at Caramel.

"Car.....caramel.....are you okay?" Starburst asked.

 

(Next post is going to be long, as it will establish a new setting, which is very difficult to do.)

Grand looked anxiously around the street for her friends and her sister. She saw them and turned her attention to the bandits, her eyes glaring

 

Caramel shuffled over to Starburst, not an ounce of fear on her face. "These flankholes are really getting in my nerves" she huffed, leaning against starburst

"Alright, Twilight Sparkle." The bandit leader said. "Your people blew up our base, I'm quite sure you're aware of that. What I want you to do, is get both of us back in time so I can stop it."

"What? You'll cause a paradox, you can't stop it." Twilight said.

"Alright then, have it your way." The bandit leader signalled to one of the others. He dragged Missy screaming up to the podium and threw her. The bandit leader took out a gun and pointed it to Missy's head. "If you don't do this, I will shoot her in the head."

"You can't, there's got to be another way. Just listen to reason." Twilight begged. Missy prepared herself for what might happen.

The bandit leader pulled the trigger, Missy fell to the ground with a thud. "Take her away. I can keep going, we've got plenty of volunteers."

 

When Starburst heard the gunshot his ears perked up and he looked over at the stage, Missy's body being dragged away by a bandit. "No, no, that, no......." Starburst sat back down and began to tear up.

 

"Fine, I'll do it, just....." Twilight was beginning to cry. ".....no more bloodshed. I'll do it. I'll do it."

Grand tried to scream but her voice was muffled. She watched as Missy was dragged away and the first thought that came to mind was the baby

 

Caramel looked as Starburst with sad eyes and leant against him, trying to comfort him, though she couldn't do much because if the ropes

Stephan's eye's widened at the sound of the shot. But, to make matters worse, it seemed to have went right through Missy's skull.

"Bastards!" Stephan cried. "I hope you rot in hell for what you've done! If you try to alter the timeline, it'll cause a paradox! It could change history as we know it!"

Starburst looked up at the bandit.

"That was my mother! You didn't have to kill her! She was pregnant!" Starburst cried into Caramel.

 

Twilight started using the spell, the two disappeared in a flash.

 

-Back in time to when Stephan and Light were captured by the bandits-

 

The bandit leader and Twilight appeared outside the base entrance.

"Alright, do what you have to." Twilight said solemnly. The bandit leader smirked, and tied Twilight up to a tree.

He ran inside the base and shot Light, then ran away again.

 

(Diverting the time-line, creating a new course of events.)

Stephan screeched to a halt. He then looked over to the dead corpse of his best friend.

"Light! No!" Light was shot dead. He then saw the bandit that shot him down running away. "What's wrong, coward?? Too scared to finish what you started??" He shouted, running after him.
