Everything froze, time was being re-written.

 

(Alright, everyone decide where in Ponyville you're going to be, Starburst and Missy are going to be in a prison. Because they're alicorns, thus making them more powerful. They have the same memories though.)

Starburst woke up with a headache, he looked over and saw Missy sitting over next to a window.
"Mum!" Starburst yelled, trying to run over to her, but he couldn't because he was chained to the wall.

"I tried that already, we're trapped." Missy said.

 

Fire was lying unconscious beside a house with a bottle of alcohol.

 

(I'll elaborate, this is present time, but in the alternate timeline.)

Stephan lived in solitude inside his house, mourning the loss of his best friend, Light Streak. He constantly had to live with the burden that he was shot, and that he wasn't quick enough to save him in time. It has also been his goal to find whoever killed Light, and make sure he dies a horrible, slow, painful death.

Caramel awoke in the hospital, still very sick.. Grand was once again overworked and underfed working at the hospital due to the bandits often attacking civilians, though she was often made to help the bandits over other ponies. Grand was forced to treat the bandits first and foremost, leaving her sister still I'll in the hospital

Zeta was in the hospital, lying in pain from when parts of his apartment had fallen down on him. Luckily he managed to live with even more broken bones, but it left him crippled for the time being. He hated being in this state, almost like being chained to his bed from all the casts and bandages on him, but he could talk since his jaw was pretty much the only thing other then his spine that wasn't broken.

It was near lunchtime for him, as Zeta waited for his doctor, Grand, to bring him his ration.

Starburst's chains had a magical lock on them. He could not do anything other than struggle.

 

Fire had to sneak around, he was drunk so that would be very difficult, he was trying to get to Stephan's house.

He arrived without being seen. "Stephan." Fire whispered. "I need to talk to you."

Stephan tried to serve as the town's protector. Whenever the bandits came to rear their ugly heads, he'd make sure they'd get out of town and go back to the hole they crawled out of. He was still infuriated that Grand would always be helping the bandits out. Him and her never talk all that much because of that.

Stephan was sitting in his chair, smoking a cigar. When Fire entered, he put it out.

"What is it, Fire Horn?" He asked him.

Grand quickly dropped off Zetas rations and checked his wounds very quickly, clearly exhausted. "Yes, everything looks good sir, you should be out if here soon" she said half heatedly, clearly not really seeing I was zeta she was treating. She was being forced to work nearly around the clock by the bandits or they would kick her sister out if the hospital

He smiled when Grand came in, taking a little nibble at his ration while looking to her. After she was done with everything, he swallowed down what he had in his mouth and spoke. "Thank you Grand. Even in these times, you've done your best to treat everypony as best as you can. It's horrible you're being forced to do this, but as long as your sister is still here then i'm happy. Just promise me, that you and her will stay alive once this is resolved.."

Grand looked at Zeta for a few seconds before realizing it was him. "Oh Zeta, I didn't even recognize you. New haircut?" She said distractedly. "I would live to stay and chat but I have to go and check on a few others. I'm terribly sorry" she said quickly as she hurried out if the room to help a flurry of bandits, who demanded extra rations and medicine

"We're doing it, we're going to get Missy and Starburst out of there, we have to put things right." Fire said. "It's been long enough. You remember how they killed Missy right? Well, they've been executing prisoners, we have to save our friends before they suffer the same fate."

Stephan sighed and got up from his chair.

"I'm fucking done with these bandits. We're pretty much running a filly-sitting service for these clowns. I'll help you save Missy and Starburst, but only because I still care enough for your family to do it. Also, I want to finally show those bandits what happens when they mess with the watcher of Ponyville." For old times sake, he reached into his cabinet and took out his old Ghost vigilante mask and slipped it on. "Let's get 'em."

"OK, it's not going to be that simple, Steel has been training these guys, I want to say they forced him, but...." Fire said. "....anyway, we have to save Grand and Caramel from the hospital."

 

Starburst thought of Caramel, hoping she was well, hoping she hadn't been killed.

Stephan nodded as he put his Ghost suit on and grabbed his old electric rod boa staff. He then dashed out of his house and began running to the hospital, making sure Fire was able to keep up with him.

 

((OOC: I don't care if you call me Ghost for a while, but you've probably been calling him Stephan for so long, you probably don't want to trouble yourself))

Fire ran with Stephan.

"It's past curfew, so we should keep it down.....Ghost." Fire said, that would be awkward to start using that name once again.

"At this time, Grand should be tending to the bandits. Trust me, I've been watching these past four months."

 

(It's funny, Staramel is together, but they're not, if that makes any sense.)

Stephan laughed. "Don't get too used to saying that. I intend to wear this costume for today and today only. Now, let's go give those assholes what's coming to them." Ghost thought for a minute and stopped. "Grab onto me. I want to see if I can still transform us into dust."

((OOC: I'll just use the term "Ghost" until the job is done.))

Fire grabbed onto the side of Ghost.

"I think back to long ago, when you were the Ghost, that was 10 years ago, so much of Starburst's life has been war and destruction, now Glint is doomed to the same fate."

 

Missy was staring out the window, she was dead, at least she remembered the cold feeling of nothingness. It was a feeling she couldn't shake. The pain of the gunshot on her head. The sound of the bullet breaking her skull was stuck in her mind too.

Grand worked tiredly on the barely injured bandits and got them their rations. "Excuse me sirs, but may I see my sister now? I haven't seen her for a few days now" grand asked meekly

 

"You have other bandits to help, let's not forget how ill that little sister if yours is. Be glad she's still being kept alive, she's really a waste of supplies".

 

Grand gritted her teeth

"Don't worry, Fire. We'll save your son. He's a good kid. He doesn't deserve this life, so we'll make sure he won't have to endure it anymore." Ghost concentrated really hard and a cloudy sensation went through his body. Within seconds, both him and Fire were transformed into a dust cloud. Ghost rocketed the two to the hospital at incredible speeds.

Fire and Stephan arrived outside the hospital.

"We have to wait until Grand gets time to visit Caramel, then we'll go in for the rescue." Fire said. "Get ready to wait this one out Stephan, we'll only be waiting for about an hour or so." Fire took point and kept an eye out for bandits.

After about a half an hour of basically serving every need of the injured bandits, Grand was given ten minutes with her sister. Grand debated using the time to take a nap but knew it would be awhile before she could visit her sister again. She walked into her sisters room, completely exhausted, but glad to see Caramel. "Hi hon, I'm so sorry about not coming to see you more. My schedule is very... Tight" she said before hugging her sister gently

Ghost turned into a cloud of dust and flew upwards to the window of Caramel's room. He saw the Grand was in there with Caramel.

"Alright, Fire. She's with Caramel. Should we move in now?" He asked. He was ready to free Grand and Caramel of this miserable life.

Soon enough, memories of the past 4 months, Starburst could remember the 4 months that happened to him and the new memories were just beginning to enter his mind. He remembered one thing.

 

Missy was trying to resist against one of the bandits, but she got pulled away screaming.

 

What happened to her?

"Yes, the sooner we can get her out of there, the better, it seems the whole place would fall apart without her really, nopony else has the will-power to continue on with the stuff she's put through.

"Then the bandits can just rot without medical attention. They deserve it." Ghost returned, grabbed Fire, and made him part of the dust cloud. The duo entered Caramel's hospital room through the cracked-open window, Ghost changed both of them back to their regular state, and they both appeared in front of the sisters.
