"Yeah, I guess you're right. I mean, we did sort of have something going when we were teenagers." Stephan said. He got up and began to make some coffee. Once he finished, he poured him and Grand a cup. "Yeah, sure, I could take her there. What's up with her? Was it from the fire?"

"Yes, though I'm not sure what exactly. From what ive been told she's doing fine though, and thats whats important" She said, pouring them each a bowl of porridge and going to sit down. She took a sip of coffee happily. "Whats important is to take things as they come and not to force anything. Ms. Dash is a lovely pony, I see no reason to not see if theres a spark"

Dash turned and looked Steel in the eye.

"What do you want, Steel? Just tell me so I can continue with my life."

 

Missy arrived at the house, feeling very tired, more tired than she would usually be, it was now getting difficult for her to freely walk around Ponyville without getting this way.

Steel nodded "well for one thing I know how you feel and two I need to know everything you know about the assassin that's hunting pinkie"steel said as he took out a quill and the paper and waited for rainbow dash to answer he didn't care that she was annoyed

Stephan sat down with his coffee and sat across from Grand. 
"I hear you, Grand. Rainbow Dash and I had a spark before, but, as time went on, that spark just seemed to go out." He said, drinking his coffee. "Maybe it's time I give me and her a shot again. It's been nearly thirteen years. But, I still love you. That's what makes it difficult."

Grand sighed. "Well, start out small. go for coffee or something, noponies forcing you to get married or anything. Dont let me stop you from anything." She turned to see Missy. "Oh, hi Missy, are you hungry, I just made some porridge if you would like" She asked, helping her in

Dash rolled her eyes, she wondered if it was a question or part of some interrogation he had going on.

"All I know is that he's an old friend of Gilda's. He was apparently a very violent griffon." Dash said. "That answer your question?"

Dash rolled her eyes, she wondered if it was a question or part of some interrogation he had going on.

"Thanks Grand, but I'm absolutely exhausted right now, I just want to sleep." Missy said.

Moon immediately woke up and stormed down the hallway, flying to the stairs and jumped on top of Missy. She gave her a great big hug and a few kisses on her cheek before saying anything. "Misssyy!! Oooh, where were you? I haven't seen you in a while, but I still miss you a ton~!"

"Moon." Missy said, exasperated. "I do not have the strength for this, can you get off of me so I can sleep?" Missy lay her head back on the ground and fell asleep.

"I'm fine, I'm a little shaken that's all." Pinkie said. "I know Gilda didn't like me, but sending Azrael after me is just going too far. That was years ago, decades ago."

Grand put Missy onto the sofa gently before cleaning up her dishes. "Poor girl. that little filly's worn her out. Can't imagine what she'll be like when she finally arrives" She said as she dropped the dishes into the sink. "Why don't you go see Ms. Dash Stephan? I see no harm in it"

"Oh?" Moon paused for a short bit and realized that Missy had already fallen asleep on the floor. She decided it was best appropriate to leave her there in peace so she walked away and sat on a couch. "Puh, rough entrance. Anyway, I wonder how Siri is doing with Fire.."

"Yes, that's all I know." Rainbow was becoming more and more annoyed at Steel. "What, you think I would hide information on an assassin who wants to murder my best friend who was sent by another best friend of mine? Oh, here's something I remembered, he's less of an asshole than you are." Dash went into her house and closed the door with considerable force.

 

"So, are you sure, you're alright Caramel?" Starburst asked. "I want to thank you too, for saving my life back in the forest."

"I suppose so. I'll finish up breakfast and I'll go clean myself up from last night. I smell like a bonfire." Stephan finished up his porridge and washed it himself. He then went upstairs to take a shower and brush his teeth. He looked at himself in the mirror and looked at his spiked, thrown-back mane. He let out a small grunt and combed it down to make it look straight. He then walked downstairs and waved to the mares. "I'll be back in a couple of hours, guys." He then jetted out of the house and ran to Dash's place. He knocked on the door, hoping she was home.

Grand waved goodbye as she cleaned up her house and sat down to finish her coffee

 

Caramel turned to him. "I'm just fine, and I really didn't do much. I just got you out if the thickest smoke is all" she said, stretching and looking at her leg. "I'm pretty sick if this hospital though, it's so boring"

Dash let out an exasperated sigh at the knocking.

"I've already told you everything I know Steel, just leave will you?!" Dash sat back on a cloud chair, the events of the day getting to her. Her mind wandered to Pinkie Pie, one of the best friends she'd ever had. Though she'd never openly admit it, she loved them all to the bottom of her heart, though that never really needed said.

"Dash, it's me. Stephan." He said in a calming tone. "You seem stressed. You want me to come in so we can talk about it?"

 

Light Streak appeared from the sky, coming home from his research trip. The first thing he did upon arriving home was going into town hall. He entered the building, where he found Fire and Pinkie.

"Hey, guys. Did I miss anything bad?" Light asked.

Steel laughed "I'm an ass because I have to be and I think your not think clearly" steel yelled as he put the paper in his bag but he didn't fly e sat there thinking about his next move and how he was going to find this assassin with nothing but what he looks like

Dash nearly fell out of the chair when she realised it was Stephan.

"STEPHAN! *cough* Um.....no, I'm fine. Just wait a moment." Dash said trying to fix her mane.

"Umm, hi, how are you?" Dash said awkwardly, trying to look cool leaning on the wall.

 

"Nothing major, Light." Fire said. "Anyway, how'd it go? Whatever it was you were doing."

"My research trip went smoothly." Light Streak commented. "I just came in to see if there was any work for me that needs to be done."

 

Stephan smiled at Rainbow Dash. "I'm doing okay. I came by to ask you if you wanted to go and get a coffee or something." He said. He could easily tell that she just had a little scuffle with somepony. He wanted to cheer her up.

Meanwhile, a figure from a little bit ago appeared to be walking down the stairs again. The figure being Zeta, of course.

He trotted down the stairs slowly, looking around and saw Grand there. He figured he wanted to talk to her after all this time spent sleeping, so he approached her and smiled. "Hey.. I'm getting a little better now, hmhm. So how are you..?"

"Oh, I havent seen you in awhile, Im glad to see you up, its good to see you getting better" Grand said with a smile. "You must be starving, you havent eaten in awhile, I made some porridge, I'll go get you some" She said, getting a bowl of porridge ready. "Did you have a good rest?"

"We're hiding Pinkie from an assassin who was sent to kill her, so you're a pegasus, keep an eye out for a black griffon, he may attack in force."

 

"Ummm....." Rainbow Dash said, unsure of how to respond, she did want this, but what if things went the way they did before? What if they spend anohter decade, wondering what went wrong? "Yes, I'd love to. Thanks for coming by Stephan....." Dash looked away from Stephan, blushing.

"Dammit Rainbow Dash, since when did you get so socially awkward, you're as bad as Fluttershy." Rainbow thought to herself.

Stephan examined Rainbow Dash's body language. Based on what he saw, his suspicions were true.

"I was right. She IS into me again." He thought, sweat running down his forehead.

 

"An assassin? Fire, that's isn't 'not much.' This is a dangerous situation for Pinkie." He said. "I'm probably going to have to make something like a tracking device to keep an eye on him. "

"So, uh, should we get going?" Dash asked, emotions now in check, looking just as she normally would, only a little excited,

 

Missy woke up. "Uhhh, what happened to me? Last thing I remember is seeing you Grand, then I fell over or something, then I woke up."

 

"If this guy lays a talon on Pinkie, I'm going to kill him." Fire said.

"Ooooh, I have a big stallion protecting me, how fairy-tale-esque." Pinkie retained her lounged back position.

Twilight rolled her eyes. "Pinkie, could you please try to act as though this is a serious situation?"

"Nah, it's not very fun that way." Pinkie replied.
