Steel shruged and went back to the bar and sat down in the back of the bar " if any pony needs menthey can come find me untill then I'll sit her and drink my life away not like I got much of one anyway" steel said to himself before finishing his second bottle of the day

"Missy is back in hospital? What's wrong with her, is she alright? Is she going to live?" Dash was now worried about Missy but wanted to know about Fire. "....and what do you mean Fire's gone crazy? What else has he done?"

Fire was sitting by Missy's bed. "But I couldn't defy you could I? I couldn't." Fire started laughing again, with the same psychotic tone. "Well, guess what? This is my town now, everypony will do what I say." Fire continued laughing maniacally until he was sedated and pulled away.

Stephan sighed. "Fire killed seventy-one mares and stallions last night, including the mare that hurt Missy." He confessed. "Don't worry. Missy is going to be okay. Hurt, but okay." Stephan began hearing laughter coming from the halls. Fire's laughter. "Oh no. Not again..." He muttered.

"Good, I thought you were going to say that Fire hurt Missy, and then I thought, not again....." Dash froze. "Um, I'm not supposed to tell you about that, or anypony for that matter." She head the laughing. "What's that?"

 

Starburst sat down across from Zeta.

"So, how are you Zeta? You look quite tired, like you'e been crying a lot." Starburst asked.

"Good, I thought you were going to say that Fire hurt Missy, and then I thought, not again....." Dash froze. "Um, I'm not supposed to tell you about that, or anypony for that matter." She head the laughing. "What's that?"

 

Starburst sat down across from Zeta.

"So, how are you Zeta? You look quite tired, like you'e been crying a lot." Starburst asked.

Zeta looked to him and smiled. "I was crying, but now that I know Grand is alive and well i'm not. I told Stephan that I thought she died from that explosion a little while back, but then after he found her in a hotel in Appleloosa, I was feeling much better."

"Well, I'm ashamed to say that I caused that explosion, I killed 70 ponies." Starburst sighed. "But a more lasting effect has been had on my father, he's gone absolutely mad, he was laughing insanely last night, I'm surprised you didn't hear it." Starburst picked up a piece of egg and ate it.

Stephan looked back to Dash. "It's Fire. He's going mad with power." He said. "His actions from last night seem to be taking a lasting affect on him." He speculated. "I just hope he doesn't do anything too extreme. He's the mayor of Ponyville. He could become some kind of evil tyrant if he isn't careful."

"I might of been crying then, if I didn't hear it." He said a little curious, now that Zeta knew Starburst set off the explosion. But he shrugged it off since he was worried about Fire more. "Fire's gone mad..? How could he have? Because last time I heard, he was the mayor of this town and a mayor that's insane isn't a mayor anymore."

"I don't know, I guess he wants a normal life, and he's using his power as mayor to achieve that goal." Starburst said. "We've all been through a lot, some more than others." Starburst looked to Caramel. "Enjoying your new accessory?" Starburst joked and chuckled a little.

"Evil tyrant? I just can't imagine him doing something like that." Dash said, surprised.

 

"I will make Ponyville peaceful once again, I will.....I must, for my family." Fire said insanely as he was thrown out of the hospital.

Caramel smiled distractedly at Starburst. "We need someone to talk some sense into Fire, and since Missy currently isn't available... We have to get Grand" she said, tapping her hoof on the floor. "She's talked sense into him before, she can do it again. I'm going to get her, I'll be home by tonight"

"I'm going with you then, Zeta, will you keep an eye on my dad, and if he does anything crazy, just knock him out, I did it last night, it works a treat." Starburst said, getting up and getting ready to go out. "I need to speak with Grand anyway, regarding, well, yeah."

Zeta sighed and let out a nod, but he knew that he would get to see Grand sooner or later and began to get ready. "Alright, i'll be keeping watch of Fire for any suspicious behavior. I'll know if he tries to bribe me or not, trust me on that." He said as he walked out.

 

After a bit, he found Fire outside the hospital doors and walked up to him. "You alright?"

"Hopefully it doesn't turn out that way." Stephan said. "But, if it does, count on me being all over it." He assured her. "I gotta go deal with some things regarding Fire right now, Dash. I'll see you later." He kissed Dash on the lips before heading back outside the hospital.

"I just hope Grand will know what to do. She seems to be the most level headed pony around here... well, at least the most level headed adult pony" She said, heading out the door. "But this doesnt mean I forgive her. She still left" She grumbled, heading to the direction of Appleloosa

"It's alright Fire, heh..~" He said with a smile and helped him up. "It got me woken up quite well actually, I think it was good. Besides in boot camp, a few mates before flipped me off by pushing the top mattress with me in it off onto the concrete floor. They ended up getting kicked out since I sustained a broken snout, but nothing too bad."

"Thanks. Alright, I think Stephan said something about her being at the Inn" She said, leading Starburst to the hotel.

 

Grand was looking out her window when she noticed them and she smiled widely before running out. "Caramel!" She called, running for her.

 

Caramel gave her a cold look. "You can stop right there. We came to bring you back because Fire's going crazy. We figured you were the best bet to get him back to normal" She said dryly.

 

Grand was hurt, but she knew what she did hurt Caramel. She nodded and readjusted her posture. " What happened to him?" She asked, her voice a bit distant

"Hmmm. Well, you're made of some tough stuff, I'll give you that." Fire said, punching him lightly. "Anyway, care to accompany me to the town hall? Got work to do."

"70 ponies? Well that would drive me mad too... no offence to you Starburst. Lets get home, I can get my things later. This is an emergency" She said, motioning for the two to follow her. "If this is how he's acting we are going to need a temporary replacement as mayor, which would go to Twilight. She is his next in command after all" She said to them as they made their way back

Fire entered the town hall, Twilight rushed over to him and asked him how he was feeling and a bunch of other stuff, he stopped her in the middle of it all though.
"Twilight, these past few days have been difficult for me, which is why, until further notice, you are acting mayor of Ponyville, until we can transition fully of course." Fire said. "After all, you're the organised one here, not me."

Grand looked back at her sister and she noticed the ring on her horn. she sighed and mumbled under her breath before turning backto Starburst. "Yes Starburst you have my permission, but now is the time to focus on your fathers rapidly deteriorating mental health." She said, running along

 

Caramel meanwhile kept talking to Grand to a minimum

After a few more minutes of walking in an atmosphere that could be cut by a knife, Starburst broke the ice.
"Well, I think I can swing another teleportation spell." Starburst said awkwardly, charging another spell, soon enough, they were back in Ponyville, just outside the house.

"That beats a journey." Starburst said.

Zeta was surprised at first, but nodded as that Fire did the right thing. Knowing his condition, he might not be suited well for now since all he would bring would be chaos if he continued in his state.

"Alright Fire, so now what do we do? Do you wanna maybe hang out together, or... Still got work to do?"

"I'd like that Zeta, I meant to talk to you anyway, for a while, I've been remembering the time, a decade ago, you saved my life from bandits. Thank you for that. I would've died if not for you." Fire said. "I never would've seen my family again, and Glint wouldn't be alive right now either."
