Starburst smiled and walked over to her and gave her a kiss. "Alright, mares first." Starburst joked.

Caramel smiled and turned it on. the title read Space Inneighdors (nevermind, it wasnt that good)

"Oh, this looks cool" She giggled, flicking it on. She fiddled with the machine for awhile but it didnt take long to get a game over. She huffed. "Okay, you try. I'm no good at this" She said with a smile

 

Grand sighed. "I can understand where your coming from Fire, ive done... much worse than you because of blatant and useless rage"

Starburst walked over to it, feeling the excitement once again. He tapped the screen and he could see an old score, 320'000 points.

"Oh, I used to be good, very good." Starburst said, starting to play it.

 

"I'm sorry, Grand, let's lighten the atmosphere, uh, I'll go turn on the fireplace." Fire said, walking over to it and lighting it with his magic.

"Look at Stephan, Fire. Have you forgotten that he's been through the same amount of shit that the rest of us have been through?" Light asked him. "He's been through all of this, too, and yet he hasn't lost his marbles once, with the exception of Dread. If he can last this long, so can you."

Caramel giggled as she watched Starburst play the game. "Wow, you kicked my flank. I'll find something I can beat you at" She said with a smile

 

Grand snapped out of her little trance and smiled. "Yes, I was just going to make some lunch anyways, any suggestions?" She asked, walking over to her fridge

"i'll say the same thing. None of you are married, the only one who can understand how I'm feeling is Zeta who lost his wife." Fire said. "Just the same as I might lose mine."

 

"Drat!" Starburst said. "240'000 points. Not even close." He walked away from it, giving Caramel another chance.

"Just take some time to yourself, Fire. You don't have the burden of the town on your shoulders anymore. You deserve to relax a bit." Light said, turning to Grand. "Just make whatever Fire wants. I'll take anything at this point, after a long day at work." He said, leaning back in the chair.

"I'm sorry, I'm being selfish about this, if Missy dies, it won't only be me it affects, but everypony, everypony would be losing a friend." Fire said, sitting back down next to Grand. "You don't have to do anything for me, I'm absolutely OK, Grand, really I am." Fire said, rubbing his eyes.

"Well I'm hungry. How about a nice, fresh dandelion salad, hmm?" She said aloud, taking out some dandelions and a chopping board. "It's one of my favorites"

 

Caramel laughed. " okay, I'll try again, but I won't get anywhere near your score" she said, fiddling around with it and dieing at about the same spot. "This game is hard" she mumbled

Light put a hoof on Fire's shoulder.

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it, Fire." He said, smiling. "Let's just sit down and have a nice dandelion salad, friend." Light sat back in his chair and reclined.

"Thank you, Grand, I really admire you, I really do, you're a lot more patient than I am, You're the pony I really wish I could base myself off of. You're kind, loving, you never give up on anypony." Fire said, then looking over at Light. "You know, I've never really had the time to speak to you, or get to know you."

"Yeah, I spent about 2 years just trying to get that score." Starburst said. "It's fun though."

"Some would say I'm too patient" she said as she put the salad on plates. "Here you are boys, I'll leave out a couple if plates for Caramel and Starburst" she said, taking a plate for herself and sitting on the couch

 

Caramel giggled. " I don't think I could get that good if I was given all the time in the world" she sat, falling onto her bed

"Thanks, Grand. Can't wait to dig into this." He said with a smile. He then looked to Fire. "Yeah, I know. Same with you. Part of that was because I was one of those things during that period that you guys were out saving Equestria." He chattered his teeth at the thought of being a trotter. It was just a cold, painful experience.

Starburst raised his eyebrows and got onto the bed too, putting his legs to either side of Caramel, standing over her.

"I don't know, you might be able to get good at it if you try." Starburst said, he put his head down and kissed her on the nose.

 

"Thank you, Grand." Fire levitated the plate in front of him, picking up a dandelion and putting it in his mouth.

Grand are her salad happily, but sighed. "I'll have to go back to Appleloosa and gather my things. I left in such a hurry I didn't have time to pack it all back up" she thought out loud, taking another bite

"So you just left Appleloosa without your stuff? Silly Grandy." Fire joked, and started laughing too, starting to get kind of out of control, but stopping himself. "I like laughing."

 

"Yeah, if you spend enough time playing it, as much as I did anyway." Starburst began to kiss her again, passsionately, his wings extended and made a *pomf* sound.

Stephan shrugged.

"It always just seemed like a big concern to me. But I'm glad it's answered." He said. "Moving on." He took a deep breath before speaking again. "When we were in our little competition, do you think I would've had any chance.in having her? Before I left Appleoosa, this morning, I told her that me and her were like Chrysalis trying to make peace with the princesses, that it just couldn't work out."

Zeta took a little time to think about it, then nodded. "You had a major chance, but the thing about it was... I was kind of hogging the time spent with Grand without knowing it. That was selfish of me to do so, but that and it all matters about dedication. You weren't always there trying to get her, last I checked. But probably the fact that I was hogging a bit might of done it. I cant answer that question directly, but...."

Grand looked at Fire curiously. "Yes, I suppose you do. I must admit I've never heard you laugh like that before" she said casually, not wanting to upset him

 

Caramel giggled and kissed him back, just as passionately. She wrapped her hooves around his neck and pulled him closer to her

"Well, I'm from Canterlot originally, I know, you could never imagine me as a posh pony could you? When I was 16, I moved to Ponyville, it was after I first met Missy, it was where......" Fire said but stopped. "I was telling Stephan this, a while ago, but do you want me to tell you about our first date?" While he waited for a reply, he turned to Grand. "I'm sorry about that, again......I guess things have been taking their toll on me."

 

Starburst stopped kissing her and smiled.
"Alright, I think I've made an accurate study now." Starburst said. "If just kissing is this good......" Starburst hopped off the bed.

"Yes I know Stephan, and i'm sorry for that..." Zeta replied with another sigh and put his hooves to his face. "But the past is gone now, and there's nothing left of it but stupidity and shit. Look, what matters is that now you have your old buddy Dash with you and that should be good enough. Maybe, ugh.... I hate to say this but, Grand was the one who made me move on from Paint when she disappeared. You might have to talk to her about moving on after these questions."

Steel walked out of town hall and began walking towards the bar

A unicorn walked into town and seen a Pegasus that looked just like him "stained steel looks like I found you" steel heart yelled

Steel turned to him "steelheart " steel said tadd all the steel around them came to life's and grabbed steel

"You wouldn't be the first to go mad" she said, taking another bite. "I've been there a few times, it's not a pleasant place to be" she huffed. "If you ever need anyone to talk to let me know"

 

Caramel sat up. "Where are you going?" She said with a slight giggle, watching him carefully

"No, Zeta, I can't put the past behind me! I'll never be able to approach Grand again! I have no chance in her now or ever again, and it's because of you!" He said, angry, yet drunk. "I left Grand so that you could be happy again, but all you did was hog her, and when we're done here, you'll probably spend every waking second of your life with her, and it's because she's just a distraction from Paint!" He finished, then sighed. "Look, I just need some time alone for awhile. To clear my head. Don't take anything I just said to heart. I just... gotta get out of here." Stephan jetted back to his house with watery eyes.
