Fire Horn now sat alone in the corner, while everyone celebrated the fact that Grand's sister was alive. He couldn't help but smile, but one thing weighed down his cheer, she knows that her sister is alive, but he didn't know whether his son and wife were alive or not.  He pulled out a picture of the three of them as a family, he had gotten it a day ago at the Golden Oaks Library. A look of sadness filled his eyes as he looked at it, realizing that this might be the last connection he will ever have to them.

[Milk Wave 454]

Lady blinked opened her eyes, they had returned to normal. "Ouch..." She grunted painfully as she tried to get up only to fall right back down. "Oof..." She had twisted her hoof. But luckily the voices from earlier had stopped and her body temperature had returned.

"Here Paint, let me help you up." And wrapped her arm around his neck before struggling back up. Zeta then took her back to the car with the bed and laid her down on it. Once settled in, he let out a decent sigh and smiled. "So how are you feeling now? I noticed that your body heat became warm again, which is a sign you're getting better from whatever it was."

As Ghost watched Grand walk away with Josh, He just stood there with happiness. He was a bit concerned, though. If Grand's sister was looking for her too, she could be anywhere. Heck, for all he knows, she could still be back in Appaloosa. Hopefully she's in Trottingham. If she wasn't, that would make the search that much harder.

Josh stared at the leg stump "yea sure i could change them just give me a second i wouldn't want to do it while half asleep"

Josh shook himself awake and threw his backpack with the supplies on the floor "okay i should be able to now wont be to hard to do i guess"

Grand pulled off the old bandage and noticed it was already starting to clot. " my goodness you have quite a gift with this plant stuff dont you?" she said, amazed. she wobbled a little but manaeged to keep her balance. her eyes caught Fires, and she knew he must feel sad. " Don't worry Fire, Im sure we will find your family. I can just feel it!"

"i have to be in my opinion who would look after you lot if i wasnt" Josh laughed ay his own silly joke he picked the last of his comfrey and moss from the backpack and applied them to the wounds "that should do with the last of what i have for now" sorry if it isnt great

Tempest and Dark eventually caught up with the train and the cyan pegesus came in through the roof, while Dark flew above the train. The cyan pegesus then glanced around and noticed most of the other survivors were in there own conversations. 'I might as well stay out here and make sure there aren't any trotters." He thought as he went back to the roof.

Ghost finished sowing his mask. Once it was done, it looked like a stitched Y with two eye holes a different color on each side of it; Red on top, White on the left, and Black on the Right. "Aw yeah. So cool." He puts the mask back into his torn up suit pouch, went back into the main cart, and continued to snack on his oats, hoping that the worst of this adventure was behind him.

"Hm.." He said, confused as well. It took a while, but thinking it was probably just amnesia, Zeta shrugged it off.  "Never mind about what I said just now, I was partially talking about your fall. Anyways, you mentioned a pain in your hoof? Which one exactly is hurt right now?"

Grand smiled and thanked Josh, then went back to her can of fruits. She watched out the window as the desert slowly dissapeared. " I have a good feeling about Trottingham!" she said, looking at her friends. She knew that whatever came their way, they would make it through alright

Lady frowned a bit and looked at her front, left hoof. "That one." She answered. "I don't think it's broken, it just hurts." She explained. Suddenly she remembered the sword from earlier. "Oh yeah, Zeta, do you know where my sword is?" She asked curiously. /I still need to practice./

He took a glance over her hoof that was hurting, making sure there was no fracture in it. "You fell on your sword when you collapsed. I didn't have a feeling of taking it, plus I had my hooves full carrying you back here."

Then, Zeta touched the hoof a bit in different places, now feeling instead of looking. "Tell me if you feel any pain. Once I have located where, ill go grab your sword and bring Josh over to come take a look at it as well."

Josh smiled and sat doen to read his notebook again "yea" he  said not sounding to sure "Trottingham should be great" He frowned as he read the notebook and put it away before reading to much "i think i might stay in the train maybe when we arrive there" Josh said

Ghost walked back to his seat and sat next to Grand. Ghost started to feel a little good feeling inside of him. A feeling that he only gets when he's around Grand. "Um, Grand." He sort of hesitated. "You guys are like family to me. You've told me all of your stories and backgrounds, so I guess I should tell you mine.

You don't mind, do you?"

Grand nodded her head, " I would love to know your story!" she said, glad that he was telling her something so private. "im willing to listen whenever you need someone to talk to" she settled in and waited patiently for him. she was ready to comfort him if the memories became too much

"a lot my herbal recipes stories of the outbreak..  before the outbreak my past.. i think i want to burn this book when we reach trottingham to much bad memories from before the outbreak in it . I keep looking at the same page hoping that it will change. It isnt important anyway

Fire Horn was reading a book that he had retrieved from the library in Ponyville, it was about forcefield magic, maybe if he practiced enough, maybe he'd be able to use it. After reading a small portion of the book, he decided to create a small forcefield, it was about the size of a hoofball. But he couldn't maintain it.

"Damn it." Fire Horn shouted.

(Nah. It's okay. Ghost kind of has some feelings for Grand, but ones that aren't strong enough so that they're obsessive. His main concern is still keeping the group safe through any challenge.) As Grand left the seat, Ghost found some paper and stapled them together. He then entitled the front "The Ghost's lost journal." He begins to write in it.

"July 29th, 2013.

I recently came across a relatively small group of survivor ponies. Ever since I found them inside of a wooded area, I joined up with them. Me and the group have been through a lot together within the past couple of days. There have been good times and bad times, but mostly good times. But these ponies are still alive because they use something I don't see often in survivor groups; teamwork and friendship. I might even stay with this group, as they treat me like family. We're currently on the hunt for the families of Grand, a red unicorn who of I've sort grown feelings for, and Fire Horn, another unicorn who desperately wants to find his fiance and child. We're arriving in a town called Trottingham tomorrow. I can only hope that the missing families are there, for I am very tired."

He had just gotten to the beginning of the first car before stopping, and changed his mind. Turning around and walking back into the second car where Lady previously was.

Zeta walked back to her, probably surprising her but he didn't mind.

"I'm sorry Paint, I couldn't leave you alone.."

Then he gave out another long sigh, but managed to peep out a smile. "I just cant, anymore. I've grown so attached to you that it feels like hell if I leave. Even for that second that I left this room, I couldn't stand it. It's almost that i'm saying I like you, a lot.."

Zeta started to blush a little, letting a teardrop roll from his right eye.

"But then, that would mean that I.. Painted Lady.

He gave a whisper, coming close to her ear.

"I.. Love.. You."

Tempest sighed in boardom and pulled out a violin from his saddlebag. He then played a tune that his mom had taught him. The notes echoed throughout the main train car.

 

Dark recognized the piece and landed gently on the roof of the car. She then curled into a ball, before falling into a blissful sleep.

"I think you should keep it. Any memories from before this must have SOME good in them. not to mention all those herbs and recipes. It would be a shame to get rid of such a valuable resource" she said before returning to Ghost. "Ive always loved the violin. Its a shame I have no musical talent at all" she laughed " terribly sorry for interrupting, I would love to hear about your past. uhh, if that was what you meant ." she said, blushing a little bit. she didnt want to sound so demanding.
