Greta looked at Stewart for a second. "Aren't you Missy's son? What on earth are you doing getting involved in things like this, your mother would be absolutely terrified for your safety"

 

Cara sighed. "Greta it's fine, he handled that guy like it was nothing." She said, looking over to him

 

Greta crossed her arms. "Is he where you got that gun from?"

 

" well, yeah but it's not a big deal"

 

"Yes, it is! You shouldn't be chasing criminals, and neither should he, that's what the police are for"

Stephan got up and put his hands on Dash's shoulders, completely unaware that Sirius was listening on the whole conversation.

"Yes, Dash, I am in danger... again." He said to her. "Me and the Watcher have a 50 million dollar price on our heads and are being chased down by eight professional assassins. The contract lasts until Christmas morning. Me and Watcher have to stop them all by then and find out who put the price on our heads in the first place.

The train stopped at the next station. Police came and arrested Brute, they questioned Stewart and Cara, but they all got out.

"Well, how was that for a real life comic book?" Stewart joked. "I for one thought it was exhilirating."

 

"Just.....please don't go belly-flopping grenades, I need you Stephan." Dash said.

Greta grabbed cara by the wrist. "well thank you  Stewart, but I think youve put my sister in enough danger for one day. You should be lucky I wont tell your mother about this... persona youve taken on. Lets go Cara" Greta said, slightly irritated.

 

"Greta, no! You cant blame him for that, I chose to go with him. He didnt put me in any danger" Cara said,pulling her hand back,

 

Greta looked at Cara. "We have to go home, youve had enough adventuring for one day. I dont need you getting hurt" She sai, a little more sympathy in her voice.

 

"I'm not a baby, I can take care of myself. your the one who got grabbed, not me!" Cara said, getting heated up.

 

Greta was shocked. "Well fine. If you want to go out gallavanting like some delinquent then go ahead, but dont come crying to me when you get yourself in trouble" She said, angrily before storming off. It was only until she had left the subway station that she felt guilt for what she had said to Cara. She went to turn around and apologize, but she knew her sister wouldnt accept it, not for awile at least

"I'm sort of in that situation right now, Dash. Having 50 million on your head is a lot like belly-flopping grenades." Stephan said, his eyes beginning to turn angry. "I won't die, Dash. These guys will have to try HARD if they want that money." He then leaned in and kissed his girlfriend. "I promise."

"Cara....." Stewart said reluctantly. "She's right, you need to go with her, I've put you in enough danger. So don't follow me, don't come looking for me, and don't phone me." Stewart left the station, passing Greta on the way and nodding to her as he passed by.

 

"Alright, but what about us? What if these people use me or Sirius against you?" Dash asked.

Cara watched him leave and sighed. She walked the other direction, not ready to face her sister. "I can take care of myself anyway" She grumbled, walking up onto the street. She dug herself into a hole that she couldnt get out of. She was too stubborn to apologize to Greta, but she knew she shouldnt follow Stewart. She sighed and went into a coffee chop, ordered a drink, and sat down at a table by herself

 

Greta figured she would go home and wait for Cara to come back, they could sort it out then

"They won't." Stephan said. "As long as they don't know who I am, they won't be able to use you and Sirius to get to me." Stephan assured her. "I only ask you to do two things; stay low at night and don't get involved in any way. If you do that, I can assure you we'll spend Christmas together as a happy couple."

Stewart had so many people he cared about, him and Ghost would have to take out the rest of the seven assassins or survive until Christmas. Until then, he would have to cut off all contact with everyony, everyone except Ghost and Archer. He went to his house and equipped his Watcher armor. He climbed, climbed until he got to a tall building, he stood on the end of a statue and looked out at the city.

 

Dash kissed him and cuddled with him again.

"Good, because I don't want to lose you like I did before." Dash said. "It was difficult, living, thinking you were dead."

"Don't worry about me, Dash. You know I can take care of myself. If I need help, I've got friends." Stephan said, hugging her and slightly stroking her rainbow hair. "You wanna go somewhere for breakfast? I've got the money, and I can easily pay for all of us." He asked.

Stewart thought about Ghost, he had his reasons for doing this, he had a family to protect, a daughter, Stewart was determined to protect Cara, no matter the cost. He  jumped from the building, the wind catching in his cloak and creating lift, making him glide across the New York skyline. It was an amazing sight to see, he flew towards the base, but stopped short of it. So he could travel the rest on foot.

 

"I think that sounds good." Dash said. "You can protect me."

Stephan grinned and led Dash outside the door. When he walked out, he saw Sirius standing at the side of the door. He was about to scold her for eavesdropping, but he remembered that she was a little girl. She probably didn't know better.

"Get bundled up, dear. We're going to the breakfast house."

Dash put on a jacket and observed herself in the mirror before following after Stephan.

"Alright, I'm ready, just so you know, I won't eat anything that's got animal meat in it." Dash said. "I don't want to even think about eating something like that, but you know, ponies and everything."

Stephan grinned and led Dash outside the door. When he walked out, he saw Sirius standing at the side of the door. He was about to scold her for eavesdropping, but he remembered that she was a little girl. She probably didn't know better.

Sirius nodded and went over to get her coat on. She wrapped up herself in it and giggled, getting fit before hugging Stephan. "I love you so much daddy, you're the best..~"

"You won't have to think about it. You'll probably have to see it a few times, though. Don't worry. It's not like we're walking into Tartarus or anything." Stephan hugged his daughter back and put his jacket on over his bright red shirt. "Alright. The breakfast house is within walking distance. Let's get going." Stephan opened up the door and proceeded outside.

"Alright, lead the way human." Dash joked, grabbing onto his arm. "I think I'm enjoying being in this world, for many reasons, one of which Sirius is aware of." Dash winked at her. "I don't think I'd be able to see that without feeling sick.

 

Stewart entered the base.

"So, you gonna tell me what's going on?" Archer asked.

"Brute has been taken into custody, for attempted murder." Stewart replied. "So cross him off the list."

Steven lit a cigarette and walked outside with a ski mask on since out was so cold it would be fine he walked to the coffee shop and got a coffee he stood by the door for a free seconds then left ((shy is it okay if Steven know about the hits or are you planning something for hio))

Stephan blushed a little bit, but then heard what Dash said about meat.

"At least I'm a vegetarian. I'll take us someplace where there isn't much meat." Stephan's phone began to ring the song "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons. Stephan told Dash to hold on a second and talked while he walked. "Hey, kid. What's up?"

"I'm just calling to inform you that one of the eight assassins has been dealt with, name was "Brute", he's in custody now." Stewart said. "Keep an eye out though, they could be anywhere." Stewart put on his mask. "We'll speak later, Watcher out." Stewart hung up, he was still worried about Cara.

As Cara was finishing off her coffee, and finally prepared to apologize to Greta, another girl about her age walked in. She had shiny black curly hair, and near white skin. She looked as if she just got off a circus train in her magicians get up. She noticed Cara staring at her and walked over to her with a smile,

 

"I couldn't help but notice your fascination with my outfit. The names Serena, pleasure to meet you. Do you mind if I sit down?" She said with a smile.

 

"Um, sure I guess" Cara said, moving her drink closer to her.

Steven couldn't take it anymore what that kid had said before handing him over to the police had been on his mind. Steven walked back into the coffee shop and went to Cara "do you know Stewart, if so just nod and listen seven assassins are after him and buddy and they will do anything to get them, and one is in this aera" Steven said softly so only Cara could hear him Steven looked over at the woman through had joined Cara Steven wasn't sure if she was one if the assassins then her turned back to cara

Stephan nodded and put his phone back. The group entered the breakfast house, where the heater was up and the place's atmosphere was riddled with the scent of pancakes, omelets, waffles and such. There was a sign saying "please seat yourself" so Stephan took a seat at the nearest booth.

"Let's review the list of Assassins, you may want to see this." Archer said. "One of them here, name is Serena, she's a magician, and she works as a contract killer."

"Any convictions?" Stewart asked.

"None so far." Archer replied. "Why?"

"Just wondering, she looks familiar." Stewart said but shook it off.

 

"Smells good." Dash said as she almost fell backwards in a trance, instead she hugged Stephan. "This is the best place ever."

Serena looked confused. "Did you say assassins? Here? Why would they be after you?" She said, looking at the strange man who had approached the table.

 

Cara looked at him. " thanks for that, but I already figured I was in trouble when my sister was nearly kidnapped"

 

Serena just looked shocked. "Oh that's terrible! I'm really sorry about that, I know you don't know me, but I'm here to help"

 

Cara looked at Serena. "So Serena huh? My names Cara. What's with the getup?"

 

Serena laughed slightly. "I'm a magician, just arrived in town today. I'm on the road a lot so I like to meet the locals, that's why I just sat down, sorry if it was unexpected"

 

Cara smiled slightly. "It's no problem, someone to talk to us just what I need now anyways"

Steven pulled his phone and palmed a picture of Selena and sent it to one of his men are few minutes later he got a replly and smiled "Cara if you need a safe house give me a ring "Steven said as he handed her the phone it held a message

Cara Selena may be one of the assassins be careful hit now type your number I'll call when I have information
