Starburst had his hooves over his ears to block out the noise but it was in his head.

"Are you okay Starburst? Maybe you should get that... Thing away from him Steel" she said, looking at Starburst, concerned. "Here, let's go to Sugarcube corner" she said, nudging him away from Steel

 

Grand sighed "well right now we're just putting the finishing touches on the interior and finding actors and stage ponies. I haven't even picked a production yet"

Steel sighed "fine then I'll get alicorn blood she other way "steel said " just remember that I gave you the choice to help your mom and you wouldn't " steel called as he walked away "and it's a scale from the devil that's what your feeling " steel added -looks like I'll have to take the blood - steel thought

"Well, why did you put it back there? That seems like an odd place to hide it." Stephan commented. "We can go get it for your daughter. After that, I'm gonna go have a drink with Zeta. Besides, you two probably wanna catch up anyways." Stephan said, breaking out of Moon's grasp.

"We have to stop him, he's going to do something evil, he's going to...." Starburst shook his head. "Uggh, what happened? I feel nauseous, I'll go talk to Twilight, you go ask about cakes, we'll meet back at the house in about an hour. Sound good? Okay."

 

Starburst walked in the direction Steel left in, to see what he had planned.

Steel walked to an alley and found a stallion that smiled "steel it's been a while what can I get for you " the stallion asked

"i need alicorn blood a pint drawn from a wound made by a scale from the devil "

"ohhhhhhh I know what you're up to let me guess you have the scrolls" the stallion said

"yes I have all of them do you have any blood or not " steel asked

"Sorry but i don't but if I had the scale I can get some "

"Meh, I guess I just set it back there. That and I haven't been able to give Sirius a present for so long, she's probably gonna scream when she sees it." Moon giggled a bit and nuzzled Stephan. "Okay, but we should do it when we're all ready to give presents, since it's more appropriate."

Stephan noticed right now that Moon was a really lustful mare. He'd have to be careful around her so Dash wouldn't get the wrong idea.

"Well, if you think we should wait, we'll wait." He said, walking away from Moon and going to Zeta. "So, Zeta, you wanna go get a drink or something?" He asked.

Zeta looked up to Stephan and smiled, then stood up. "Hey Stephan, sure i'll go ahead and get a drink. I won't get drunk though, since that's not me anymore but i'll help you out if you need to~" He giggled and followed Stephan out of the house, walking to the bar with him. "So Stephan... I know we've had our past times before, but it seems like you and I put it aside you know?"

 

Meanwhile, Moon hugged Sirius who was on the couch and they spend the time together.

"Perhaps, but sometimes, I lie in bed and think about you and Grand, and I realized something... you spend nearly every waking second with her." He said. "Don't you ever think that you're being a little too clingy? I mean, mares need their personal space every once in a while."

"Actually.." Zeta replied with a small smile. "I've been giving Grand her own space since I took your word, well... Except in bed you know? I mean I sleep with her and hug her by the end of the day, but yeah, giving her some personal space." Sooner or later, the bar was in sight. "There we go... Drinks are here~"

The two stallions entered the bar and ordered a few shots.

"But, seriously, do you ever think about getting your own place? You're literally the only member of the group that doesn't have a place of their own." He said, sipping down a shot of cherry whiskey.

Zeta took a drink of whatever he got, letting out an "Ahhh..." after finishing. "My house got blown to bits, remember? So I kinda moved in with Grand in a way. Anyways, you and everypony still have like 23 million bits from the bank, not very much spent at all. We're about to get more in fact, since Celestia and Luna was willing to give us whatever from saving the world. That and possibly extra protection, you know.." He took another drink.

"Well, I'm willing to give you a chunk of my money so you can get a new place." Stephan said, guzzling down another shot of cherry whiskey. "It's a nice offer, but I really don't need the protection. I can take care of myself well enough. The princesses really don't have to go through all of this trouble."

"It's fine, Stephan. And to be honest, I, kinda do still want to live with Grand. After all, me and her are together, like Starburst and Caramel." Zeta took another drink. It was quite good in fact, as he asked for more and took one last swig. His vision got slightly blurry, and be burped. "Whew... I haven't had a drink in a while. Anyways, I think that's enough for me. You still drinking?"

"Dude, you two aren't together." Stephan said, taking a drink, becoming a bit tipsy. "She's 29 and you're 41. That's a big age difference. You guys have never, EVER kissed. You cling to her almost all the time." Stephan took the final drink. "I think you're trying way too hard.

Zeta sighed and looked to the empty cup he had. Stephan was mostly right, and the age difference. "I have kissed Grand before, but.... I, yeah... It's just I want to be with her, she's someone who I love dearly, and you know that.. It's just, I know I may be 41 and all... I don't want to be 41, I want to be 29, the age where ponies won't have to think I might be way too old for stuff like this.." Then he looked back to Stephan. "Maybe I am trying too hard, but.... I just want to love Grand, I just.."

"I know you do, Zeta. I'm not chasing her anymore. I have Rainbow Dash now. I don't plan on marrying her, but she's a nice mare to have in my life." Stephan dropped the shot glass on the counter, leaving a small crack in it. "Sometimes, I think back to when you were with Paint. And, every time I see Grand, she becomes more and more like her. Why do you love her, Zeta? Does she just remind you of Paint?"

"No, she doesn't remind me of Paint at all.." Zeta replied and saw the crack in the glass Stephan made. "She would be a perfect example of Palm Breeze, or the wife I once had. She was beautiful, caring, a very outgoing person and i'd let her do whatever her heart wanted to do. That's what Grand pretty much is, and... It just feels so much like at home.."

"She still reminds you of somepony. But, you need to ask yourself this; does her heart want you?" Stephan asked him. He had a feeling that this question would be a big one. "If you're going to treat Grand like Palm Breeze, you need to know one thing; does her heart want yours? You wanting her is one thing, but if she wants you too, that's like completing a full set."

"Stephan... You know for a fact my heart desires Grand.." He said while looking back down at himself, then Zeta sighed. "And I won't be treating her like Palm Breeze... I'll let her do whatever she wants, because if it's her desire, then i'm fine with it."

After a bit of thinking though, Zeta became unsure. What if Grand didn't like her? What if she was just playing around, and didn't care one bit for him. He had to find out, and immediately stormed out of the bar. His mood was switchy, it would be be one of three things. Happy, sad, or very angry. But nonetheless he immediately came back to the house. She was there, talking to another pony and immediately rushed in without hesitation. "Grand... I need to talk to you, now.."

Stephan watched Zeta storm out. He was torn between two things. Was he really trying to sabotage his chances with Grand, or was he actually giving him advice. If it was option one, how would that make him look in front of everypony? Was this just his revenge for Zeta stealing Grand away from him? He couldn't tell. He only remembered falling outside of the bar into the snow, unconscious.

Moon and Sirius were playing around on the couch, until Siri decided to bring up the question about her father. "Mommy? Where is daddy? Him and uncle Zeta was supposed to go to the bar, but i've only seen uncle come back.." 

 

"Huh... I guess we should look for him then. Ready to go?"

"Mhm."

"Alright, hop on my back sweetie~" She knelt down to let her get on, which she did and they set off.

After a bit of walking, there Stephan was, lying unconscious on the ground. "Daddy!" The little girl screamed out as she jumped off Moon's back, then picked him up with her magic. She realized that he was out cold and decided to turn back to the house. "Mommy, he's not moving. Breathing though, but.. Why?"

 

Moon thought for a moment, feeling Stephan. "He probably had too much alcohol. Alcohol is a substance in drinks, which if you drink too much, can make you pass out. Lets take him back to the house."

So the two took him back to the house, heading up the stairs as Moon Wave laid him down in the spare bedroom. She then checked on him a bit, and nodded to Siri. "Go grab a cup honey."

 

So she did, going downstairs to get an empty cup from the shelf. Then she took it back up to Moon and turned around.

After a bit, milk was in the cup, which she set down next to Stephan and waited for him to wake up.

Grand turned to look at Zeta. "Oh, hello Zeta. Drinking so early in the morning? Well you men have your ways I suppose" she said, sipping on her coffee. "You look quite perplexed, is there something wrong?" She asked, noticing his expression. "Come sit down, are you alright?"

"No, i'm not alright. I'm sorry if I look this way but... We need to go outside now, in private. Meet me at the fountain, or I will be very mad.." He responded and stormed out once more. The moment he shut the door though, Zeta wanted to cry, and cry he almost did all the way over to the fountain. By then he had become somewhat depressed, and took a seat on the stone walls that kept the water in its place. "We can't delay any longer... I, I have to do this.."
