"I have some idea of what's going on here. But I can't be sure, not until I find Missy, she's not in her right mind right now." Starburst said. "I need you to help me find her, also Grand, she has obviously been supressing all these feelings towards us and she isn't herself either, and now my father is joining them."
"No, I'm not." Fire yelled down to him.

"Shut up, yes you are!" Starburst replied.

"You shut up." Fire responded, causing Starburst to facehoof.

"Well, like I said, everypony is becoming polar opposites of each other." Stephan said, completely unaware that he is slowly changing himself. "Besides, you couldn't have let Missy out of your sight, could you? I mean, you knocked her out. Did you seriously leave her alone??"

"No! Of course I didn't, how do you think I got this?" Starburst gestured towards the burnt fur. "I was about to bring her back here, but she attacked me, and I couldn't chase after her." Starburst looked to his wings. "Though now that I think about it, I could've tried a bit harder."

"He's not going to help us, not like that. Looks like we're on our own... What about twilight? They had the same thing happen to them, they have to know what to do!" Caramel said, hoping this would be their solution. "Let's go before something bad... Well, worse happens" she said. Pulling him along

"But this is different, they've not forgotten why we're all friends, it's all the stuff we've been through and what we've done to each other, it's what's causing them to act this way." Starburst said.

 

"All symptoms of the effect that Discord puts on ponies. But Discord hasn't been seen in a long time." Luna said. "As far as we knew, he was dead."

"That would be odd then..." Zeta said, then thought to himself. "The case of discord, coming back again. I wonder, who would be affected by it? Could there be some possible way to bring the case back up to it's feat once you do something?" Then he turned back around and came inside. "But like I said, i'm not sure if it's real or not. We should check though."

Caramel sighed. "I just don't understand why it's happening now over any other time!" She said, frustrated. "And egg aren't we being affected? Well, at least not yet" she said, walking in circles. Just then, Grand burst out from the bar, more drunk than she'd ever allowed herself to be.

 

"You know what? I'll get my OWN drinks somewhere else, you jjjerk" grand slurred, wobbling around outside. "Maybe I'll go eat a whole cake to myself, JUST BECAUSE I CAN" she yelled drunkenly, flailing herself around

 

Caramel just stared, completely bewildered. "You've got to be joking"

Stephan facehoofed and sighed.

"Stupid kid" Stephan thought to himself. "Doesn't matter. She couldn't have gone too far by now." Stephan walked into the closet and put on a winter coat and a hat. "Let's get this done so I can get back to sleep." Stephan said, walking slowly outside.

"I'll tell you, a good thing about Missy using magic to attack me, is that somehow..." Starburst's horn flickered at first but began to glow. "Is this." Starburst used a strong stun spell on Grand. "She'll be out of it for the next few hours, gives us enough time to find my mother."

 

"I think you may be right." Luna said. "We should check with Tia first, maybe she's heard something about it."

Zeta nodded as she went over and opened up the door, exposing the great hallway outside of her room. "We have to go now, c'mon Princess!"

 

Meanwhile, Moon was being taken care of by her daughter, Sirius. She had been struck with an unusual fever from an unknown cause, and they don't know how it happened. "Oh Siri... My precious baby.."

 

"Hm? Yeah mom?" She replied, putting a cold and damp rag on top of Moon's head.

"This, is the worst i've ever had. I'm feeling weaker by the minute, so.. If I don't make it, then.. Be with daddy.."

"But, mommy... You are going to make it. I know you are!"

Moon just smiled and sighed. "I'll try, my dear... But I don't know for how long.."

Stephan's normal "heh's" were being replaced with "Hmph's" now that he's been discorded. 

"I'll admit, that was kind of impressive. Now, let's get going." Stephan opened up the door and left it for Starburst and Caramel to close behind them. "I saw we start at where you last saw her. Maybe she left evidence of a sort."

Luna trotted after Zeta, worried that something might have happened, was it Discord, or was it something entirely different?

 

Starburst picked Grand up with his magic and followed after Stephan.

"Well, she was levitating herself, and a levitation spell can usually only be used for a max of about 5 minutes, especially if you're carrying yourself. and self-levitation isn't very fast, so she can't be very far away." Starburst said.

 Zeta and Luna both walked down much hallways to get to the bedroom where Celestia was sleeping. It was hard to knock on the door at first since he didn't want to disturb the princess, but Luna was there, so he was confident enough to knock. "Princess.. This is an emergency."

There was no answer, none at all.

"You there!" Luna said, pointing at a guard. "Where is my sister?"

"She was supposed to be in here." The guard replied. Panicked, Luna burst down the door and looked in.

Just then a green glow flashed behind them and Luna fell to the ground unconcious, a changeling had 

hit her on the back of the head.

It happened so suddenly once more, as Luna went down. Zeta noticed it, and without warning thrust his hand back at the changeling who was pretty much the guard. His hoof met with its face, smashing it into a wall to leave it unconscious. Once that was dealt with he knelt down again and picked up Luna. "Princess, speak to me.. SOMEONE GET A MEDIC!!! C'mon Luna, are you okay..?" He took her into Celestia's room.

Luna opened her eyes and saw Zeta. She pushed him away.

"Where is she? What have you done with my sister?!" Luna yelled before realising it was Zeta, she looked around her and to him. "We are most sorry, what happened to us? We were rendered unconscious by somepony, but by who?"

Zeta looked at the open front door and walked over, then pulled in the unconscious changeling and shut/locked it. Then he set him on the bed, looking for ropes to tie it down with to stay there for now. "It was a changeling Luna.. Thank the heavens you're okay. You took a head shot, which seemed pretty critical but there's not really any damage noticeable. Anyways... I suspect a changeling attack is underway, and Celestia was captured."

"That still doesn't answer the question; how in the world are we going to find her? If she's hovering, that means that that she couldn't have left a trail for us to potentially follow!" Stephan exclaimed, a little irritated. "Perhaps we should split up, cover ground easier."

"Changelings? And they've got my sister?" Luna asked in disbelief. "And the element bearers, or at least a few of them are incapable? Oh no, this is not good, and what are we going to do with him?" Luna got up and walked over to the unconscious body of the changeling. "Who knows how many more there are?"

 

"Good idea, I think she went in the direction of the Everfree Forest." Starburst said. "I'm going to take Grand back home, and..... tie her down or something."

"Yes indeed.." Zeta replied and looked over the changeling. It was soon about to come back to the world, since he didn't seriously injure it or kill it. "We should see about the previous bearers of harmony, the mane 6. Maybe they know something about this, but... I'm concerned if the changelings got them or not."

"Whatever. I'll find her within a moment's notice." Stephan jetted into the dark and snowy Everfree Forest. The forest was exactly how he expected; black, damp, and big. How in the world was he going to find the alicorn here? He just continued his search for Missy, hoping this would be over soon so he could go home and confine himself from everypony.

Caramel looked at her unconscious sister. "I'm not sure knocking her out was entirely necessary, she was drunk enough to just push around" she grumbled, walking beside Starburst. "Okay, where would a newly single and enraged female go?" She asked, thinking.

 

Grand came to her senses not long after. "Hey! Yoouuuu, put me down! I've got things to not take care of, like myself" she slurred, nearly puking. Caramel just rolled her eyes. "Maybe the sane place an irresponsible and careless mare would go. Where were you headed Grand?"

 

Grand squirmed. "I dunno, maybe I'll gamble all my bits away, finances are tooo much wooork"

 

"Okay, so where would you go to get rid of your worries and gamble and drink your life away?"

"OK, so a place to gamble and drink, that's Las Pegasus, but I don't think that place is even lived in, never mind up and running." Starburst said, then turning to Grand. "You're going back home, we're going to get Missy and bring her back here so we can figure out why this is happening."

 

Luna grabbed the back of her head with her hoof.

"OK, looks like I'm bleeding, not too much so it should be fine." Luna said. "We've got more important matters to attend to, I've got to run the kingdom while Celestia is gone."

Zeta nodded, but first looked at the changeling and untied him. He signaled for some more guards to take him away and helped walk Luna to the throne. "We'll get you some aid for the back of your head. Also, we can't let any more changelings disguised as guards infiltrate like this, so be careful. I'll be there beside you to make sure nothing goes wrong, okay?"

Stephan ran through the Everfree Forest at a sound-bending speed, becoming impatient with the search. 

"This is bullshit!" Stephan exclaimed. "Where could that mare run off to??" He was also wondering what was taking Starburst so long to accomplish this simple task of getting Grand tied up. She was drunk already, so what's the deal? He stopped in his tracks when he saw a female alicorn floating in the air, gray as gray could be...
