Sirius took a look back at Stephan, then gave a wide smile. "An, adventure with daddy..? I've always wanted to go on one with you, ever since you talked to me about them when we first met! Yes i'd love to go with you, I do!!" She practically squealed like the 9 year old girl she used to be and hugged him tighter.

Stephan smile at his daughter and Rainbow Dash.

"If you can handle yourself like your mother said, you can come along with me and Dash." He said to her. "Only problem is, I don't even know where to begin. It's been forever since I've adventured. I've always been at peace, and I seem to have forgotten how to be... me."

Starburst arrived back in Ponyville, he had just buried his mother, somewhere nopony would find her.

"Hey guys." He said in a sad tone. "What are you all doing?" Dash immediately flew over to him and put a hoof on his shoulder.
"I heard about your mum, kiddo, that's gotta be tough." Dash said. "I know how it feels to lose parents, it's not something you get over quickly." Dash turned to Stephan. "I think I'm gonna stay here, Stephan, when my parents died, I had my friends, and right now, he needs somepony."

Stephan nodded to Rainbow Dash and kissed her cheek.

"If you wish to stay behind, I won't stop you." Stephan told his wife. "I'll be back, and I promise you, this'll be my last outing." Stephan then turned his attention to Starburst. "I'm sorry about your mother, son. Are we having a proper burial?"

"You feel like coming along kiddo? We could sure use the company." Dash said to Starburst."

"No, I'll have to pass, I've got grandchildren to take care of, mine and Caramel's son went and left the two with us, and now we're taking care of them." Starburst said. "We're not having a burial, too risky, so I've done something about it."

Stephan looked towards the Everfree Forest. He always used to start there. There was always some sort of monster or creature there for him to take on. He then heard what Starburst said about his mother. He didn't know much about alicorn logic, so he was a bit confused.

"Where exactly did you take her?" Stephan asked him.

"An alicorn's body is a sacred, powerful thing, it should not be cast into the ground like some ordinary pony." Starburst began. "She's somewhere nopony will ever find her, with her kind of magic, her body would be put to evil use no doubt. She's safe, I made sure of it."

Stephan nodded to his nephew.

"If you're sure she's safe, then I trust you You would probably know more about alicorns than me."

It's been over two decades since his defeat at the hooves of the element wielders. He'd been stuck within the gates of endless torture for too long. It was time for him to exact his revenge.

The spawn of death itself, Dread, watched as Stephan and the others conversed.

Starburst hesitated for a moment, but nodded, he then turned to Rainbow Dash.
"You don't have to stay here on my account, I'll be fine, and besides, I've got my grandchildren to take care of.

 

Sky smiled at Cloud.

"Well, we're just heading home, see you around, I guess...." Sky said, before flying off, Sandy following on the ground.

Stephan smiled and grabbed both Dash's and Sirius' hooves.

"You sure you wanna stay here? You don't have to come if you don't want to." He said to Dash.

 

Cloud went after Sky and Sandy. "Guys, wait!" He said, walking next to them again. "I know what lost did a great deal... but... I need your help."

"Are you sure you're gonna be fine on your own." Rainbow asked.

"Sure, I'll be fine, just go off on your little adventure." Starburst smiled. "I can tell, you know, the hat."

"In that case, we should get going Stephan, don't wanna be late for whatever kind of fun we can get up to." Dash smirked.

 

"Why would you need our help? And what exactly do you need help with, I'm sure we'll be happy to help." Sky smiled, though it was a fake smile.

Siri gave a happy smile, looking at the three and waved to Starburst. "Yes!! Finally, some adventure! And who else could be better when it's Dashie and daddy~?"

 

Auria followed up behind, going to Sky and Sandy. She pretty much stayed quiet the entire time, but looked over to Cloud and whispered. "What help..?"

 

Just then, Antares and Electron came running back, happy as ever. "Thank Celestia I found you all! Me and Electron have been looking everywhere, you ended up disappearing before us, so we got a little lost."

Stephan smiled back at both of the mares.

"Alright, then. Let's get going. You take care Starburst. We'll be back." Stephan began jetting off into the Everfree Forest with the two.

Before they went, Cloud pointed over to Stephan, Dash, and Sirius.

"Did you see that red stallion?" Cloud asked. "I think he's my grandfather, but I need to know for sure. I need to follow him to wherever he's going and confront him."

"Uncle Stephan?" Sky asked Cloud. "Are you sure? I thought he had died a while ago, well, I don't think we should go after him, if ponies think he's dead, it's probably for good reason."

"What are you two talking about?" Starburst asked sternly.

"Oh, nothing grandad, we were just talking about uncle Stephan." Sky said awkwardly.

"But... but, that had to be my grandfather." Cloud said, his spirit dampening. "Ever since I was born, I always thought he was just dead. Why would he just disappear off of the face of Equestria like that?" Cloud asked. "Uncle Starburst, you think he's alive, right?"

"I will not lie to you, he is alive, he just doesn't want any interaction with anypony outside of hi s closest friends." Starburst said.

"Yes, despite the fact, it's obvious he doesn't want to be seen by anypony, just in case they recognise him." Sky said.

Cloud almost jumped high into the sky he was so happy.

"Oh my gosh, that's just so great!" Cloud said, becoming more and more energetic. "I've never met him, so that must mean that he's never met me! I gotta find him and introduce myself as soon as possible!"

"Well from the looks of it... We either gotta hurry up, or they're too far ahead." Auria bumped in, pointing to where they went. There was no sign of the three as of now. "We can try though, but it's your call Cloud."

 

Electron just watched everypony, pointing upwards. "Unicoornn!!"

 

Antares looked over to Electron, sighing. He walked over and put his hoof down, then hugged him. "Electron it's alright, it's fine.... Wait.. Electron, you've just given me an idea! Your magic is super strong right? Well if they're already gone in that direction, can't you teleport us all to catch up to them?"

"Listen to me, read my lips." Starburst said. "He doesn't want anypony to recognise him."

"I don't think they're listening, grandad, maybe we should go back home." Sky said. "They're gonna do what they want anyways."

"Good idea." Starburst flapped his wings and flew next to Sky. "Let's go." The two flew off with Sandy in tow again.

Cloud only sighed and grabbed Auria by the hoof.

"You wanna help my look, Auria?" He asked the little filly.

 

Stephan and the others quickly arrived inside the Everfree Forest. It was nice to be back inside this place. It was mosquito infested, sure, but it was an adventurer's dream come true.

"Grandad?" Sky asked.

"Yes?" Starburst turned to look at her while they were flying.

"Our parents. When they left, did they tell you where they were going?" Sky asked.

"No, they didn't. And you don't want parents like them anyway, they were both mean ponies, I have no idea what went wrong when me and Caramel were raising that little colt." Starburst said. "You already know your mother is a zebra, you have stripes to prove that."
