Slowly but surly Charcoal began to wake up from her slumber. *yawn* Stretching in bed she begins her daily routen of waking herself up. "Alright, time to get up and get ready. I'm sure I look like a mess as always, and I'm also sure Blazing wouldn't like it if I was a mess either." Finally getting out of bed she begins her morning shower, afterwords brushing her mane, tail, and coat. Then walks out to see if Blazing is awake yet. After a bit of walking, asking around, and curseing she finally finds his room. "This would have been so much easier if I had just asked him yesterday." She then proceeds to knock on his door.

Minath nuzzled Rambler back, then spoke.

 

"Of course, I don't really like other alicorns. With the exception of Luna and Celly." Minath said and chuckled. "And yes, that does mean I dislike Twilight and Cadence. Bunch a jerks." Minath said, and laughed again.

Rambler laughed. "I just hope you don't talk about them like that around Celestia. I don't think she'd appreciate you calling her star pupil a jerk. And anyway, even if you don't like her, you have to at least appreciate how much she's accomplished. Cadence though, I've always thought was just a bimbo."

Rambler laughed again. "Well, at least you don't have to deal with Cadence and Shining now that they're freezing their flanks off in the Chrystal Empire. Of course, I can't help but dread the idea of a kingdom being run by Cadence." He mock shuddered. "But I guess that's the chrystal ponies problem and not ours."

Rambler shrugged. "The beach shouldn't be much further. Anyway, I doubt Shining is doing much in terms of guard duty anymore. He's royalty now; all he and Cadence have to do is sit around and get fat. Come to think of it, you're an Alicorn and a guard captain, how come you don't get to be royalty or something?"

Although the image of you in a tea dress is pretty amusing, if nothing else. But hopefully that day will never come. As much as you deserve to be royalty or something, I don't know what would become of our relationship if that happened. I mean, you barely have time for me now. I can't imagine what it would be like if you had to juggle ruling a country as well. And anyway, I don't think you'd be content to sit around and get fat. Not that I'd necessarily mind if there was a little more of you to love." At last they arrived at the beach. "Well, here we are, I guess."

It's like he has all the stereotypical superiority and snobbyness of a jerky alicorn, but he's just a unicorn. Besides, I think we both know he can't treat you half as well as I do." Blazing woke up slightly annoyed by somepony knocking on the door. He couldn't stand it when other ponies woke him up like that, but he would just pretend he didn't mind for now. He walked over and opened the door, trying to look as happy as he could.

After waiting a moment Charcoal hears movement inside the room. When the door opens Blazing is there. 'OK good it was the right room.' Thought Charcoal. "Hey Blazing, I just got up an was wondering if you would like to get breakfast togeth-" Getting a better look at him she notices that Blazing looks slightly annoyed. "Oh man did I wake you up? I'm sorry I guess I forgot again that I usually get up really early in the morning."

Dog Ears' eyes shot wide open, He literally jumped out of bed, silently landing in a roll. He always did that in the morning, but Nestle was usually there to be tackled. It was a force of habit for Dog Ears, since he almost never vacationed. Oh Celestia I need to get out more. He saw Esme on the couch and walked over to her. She was still sleeping, but he didn't want to wake her up. Years of picking up sleeping animals had prepared him for this moment. He deftly scooped the mare onto his back and carefully dropped her onto his bed. He then left the room quietly to get something to eat. As soon as he walked out of the room, he saw two familiar faces. "Oh hey Blazing! And good morning Charcoal. How are you doing? You look better."

"Oh, hi." Blazing said simply. Buck! I missed my chance again! Blazing thought. He was slowly preparing to just give up on telling Charcoal how he felt about her. It doesn't matter, she's not gonna love me back anyway... He thought. Something about that thought though bugged him for some reason.

Dog Ears cocked his head, similarly to a dog when it's confused. "Yea I helped you out yesterday. I brought you to your room... Well anyways I'm Dog Ears. Shouldn't be too hard to forget again," he said jokingly. He noticed that Blazing had said hello in a sort of flat tone. Why would that be? Then he realized that he had just been alone with Charcoal, and then Dog Ears had showed up. Mentally face hoofing, he turned his head slightly towards Blazing. "I think I'm gonna head back to my room soon. I um... forgot something there..." He winked at Blazing, making sure to wink with the eye that Charcoal couldn't see due to the fact that Dog Ears had turned his head.

Dog Ears walked around in his room, not really sure what to do. he didn't want to wake up Esme, she could wake up when she wanted to. He just kind of got a better look around the room, seeing what kind of things were there. He found a bathroom and shrugged, deciding to take a shower. He went into the small shower and sat down as the water fell on his coat. His mane flattened over his face from being wet, but he didn't mind. He let the water fall on him, as he just sat there with closed eyes.
