Brony Pride vs Being Obnoxious

well, I just counted, and I got 20 pony figures just on my computer desk. But this is my room, and no one ever comes in here. So I don't see it as being obnoxious. 

 

Like my parents have NASCAR stuff everywhere in the family room....I used to really like NASCAR,...but I don't find it to be obnoxious.

Well, I guess I really meant that it is obnoxious to some people (maybe was the key word). (As you said, it really shouldn't be at all, my room used to be crammed with NASCAR, Skyrim, and MtG stuff before my brother left for the army.)

Holy crap, I just realized I have two pony figures on my desk and I never actually even thought about it.  I found them in a store in 押すand had to buy them.

Pride is standing up for yourself, representing the community in what you do, and maybe wearing a shirt if you want.

 

Obnoxiousness is when you try to convert non bronies, wear over the top cosplay, make a fool of yourself, and simply make us look bad to people who previously did or didn't have an opinion. It's NOT caring how you represent yourself or your community.

 

Don't be a crusader or an asshat plz!

I honestly think referencing it is fine, even having MLP merchandise is okay.

 

But when you have say, a room filled with stuffed ponies, maybe that's too far. Or when you repetitively reference MLP without prompt or motive.

 

It's not obnoxious to have merchandise and a collection in your own house. That's what you do in your own privacy. Constantly referencing MLP when it doesn't need to be referenced is a bit naff.

Pride in being a brony can be defined multiple ways, though I define it as accepting yourself for who you are as a brony.
