Will Twilight have Discord as a new ally as she learns to become a princess?

I also see him not stepping in and helping directly, because that would be boring for him, but instead helping indirectly. Discord is still out to have fun, and where is the fun in solving all the problems yourself? He could do it, he just wont.

 

He also isn't likely to help directly for the same exact reasons Celestia, Luna and all the other 'powerful' characters don't. Because then it wouldn't be about the Mane Six accomplishing things on their own. It would be too easy for the ancient, powerful beings of Equestria to step in and pwn the bad guys or fix the problem, and that's why the writers don't do such things.

maybe discord might help twilight,but if helps twilight she might have some problems trying to trust him after the fluttershy episode i still don't think twilight trusts discord completely.

Who thinks that maybe twilight will now have discord to be a new ally as she learns to become a princess, maybe she might have a place to rule over as princess cadence. hopefully there will be alot more discord in the new shows to come along.     

 

As much an ally as discord could ever hope to be.  Oh there's any number of ways they could take that.  I mean it's discord, spirit of chaos,

 

not to mention the conspiracy theory he's really star swirl the bearded.  I mean if they were ever gonna go in that direction, the person to figure it out would be twilight ^^, she does hero worship star swirl.
