movies/tv MLP on Itunes.. what the?

First, wasn't sure where this should go so I figured here would be a good try.

 

 

So I got curious and wanting to get the series on Itunes so it'd be easier to put on my iPad.

I refuse to get the censored version of Last Roundup from the, but was thinking of the others.

 

So I grabbed a test episode and well... eithe the gamma/brightness is just terrible, or Netflix and HUB show it at a higher setting.

Cause WOW is the picture washed out. Very white, and not very colorful at all :(

 

Is this really how it is on there, or have I somehow stumbled into a bad batch? I thought maybe it was my TV but I downloaded to the Ipad and compared it to the Netflix version scene for scene and it really is just outright bad.

I'd make absolute sure that it's the episode that has a problem and it's not something on your end. One suggestion would be to purchase another episode, and see if that episode comes out good. If it turns out that it's the episode that's corrupted, it would probably be best to contact the iTunes store for a refund, and let them know that the episode is corrupted so they can put up a fixed version of the episode (which would probably take a while, but better late than never). It sucks, but corrupted episodes on iTunes aren't completely unprecedented. I bought season 3 of MLP on iTunes, and although most times the episodes came out great and on time, there were a few troublesome situations. I recall Sleepless in Ponyville's audio being out of sync when it first came out on the iTunes store, which was pretty annoying. It wasn't that big of a deal though since the episode was also available on YouTube, but this kind of thing shouldn't be happening since we all paid money for these episodes. There was also this post in the Apple Support Communities, where this one guy experienced problems with an MLP episode he bought off the iTunes store, and turns out other people were having the same problem. So yeah, from what you've told us it sounds very likely that it's the episode's problem, but double check just to be safe. After you verify it's the episode that's corrupted, let the store know and get a refund.

I confirmed its def just the episode on Itunes for this one, not sure how other episodes look, I'll have to try that..

But yeeeah... thats just Unsat. 

But was asking if anyone else had them on iTunes and knew if this was the common place.

I usually watch through AppleTV which streams the epsiodes either straight from iTunes itself (always up to date thusly) or off your PC/iOS device if you choose (this could be an issue, but its not how I usually go since it slows my system down (heavy gamer, can't have that! :P  and doesn't get full audio doing it usually)

 

And while I don't want to question things to much from the iTunes support forums but contact the producers?! .... The store sells you a bad product they could've easily checked, and the response is to contact the producers?! ooookay... The store should be doing that since its their business at risk for lawsuit, the producers didn't sell it, they just provided it to the store, store should've checked quality.

 

I've known iTunes to have botched releases initially that take a bit to fix (LotR The Fellowship HD didn't release with its subtitles for the Elvish scenes) But this has been out for years now, and should've definitely been fixed...

Would've thought it'd have been corrected by now if it was a botch up.

But if it wasn't noticed due to all episodes being as such... I'm glad I never paid for them on here, let alone a season pass!
