Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,467 August 24, 2013 Share August 24, 2013 This is a random suggestion but it is something I would like to see, if possible. The ignore/block features are pretty handy here, but they do not ignore responses to your own statuses which would be nice. Again, I am unsure if that is even possible, but it would be nice. Thanks for considering, if you do.
Shiki 5,855 August 24, 2013 Share August 24, 2013 (edited) Actually, you can already do this. If you check the "messenger" box when you ignore a user, they shouldn't be able to either send you messages, post on your profile feed, or comment on your statuses. If you do already have this set, and the user in question is still able to post on your status updates, you should start a support ticket about it. Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,467 August 24, 2013 Author Share August 24, 2013 I do have that set. The most that it does is block comments to your profile, but not responses to statuses. My first guess is that it doesn't do that in the first place. Unless it is supposed to and something is wrong.
Harmonic Revelations 8,835 August 25, 2013 Share August 25, 2013 If ignoring the comments on your own statuses is what you want, you could always just disable it in your notification options. Unchecking that box is probably the closest you will get to the functionality you're going for. The only down side is that it would avoid them for everybody and not just somebody specific you were trying to avoid.
NavelColt 22,880 August 25, 2013 Share August 25, 2013 Status updates, like blogs, are highly un-editable at the moment, as explained by Feld0 in previous topics. I agree that the ignore feature needs to cover more grounds, but since this concerns status updates (albeit somewhat indirectly), I'm unsure if something can truly be done about it at the moment. Even if not, it's something that I'm sure can be fixed when and if we ever create our own forum platform, free from IPS and its' constant shortcomings.
SCS 7,537 August 25, 2013 Share August 25, 2013 I support your suggestion. If you are having issues with a user that are great enough to make you want to block them, then I doubt that you would want them to be able to comment on your status updates. However, due to the issue that ~Chaotic Discord~ raised, I do not know when this could be implemented.
Princess Periwinkle 3,775 August 26, 2013 Share August 26, 2013 I assume you are aware of this, but to add to the previous posts I'll just mention that if you are blocking a member because you feel antagonized by them or if they seem to be a general annoyance, consider reporting them. It might help in solving the issue.
