Forlong 1,726 August 30, 2013 Share August 30, 2013 I'm going to be joining the Brony Analysis ranks on YouTube...probably next month. I've currently have five projects I want to finish (or at least have recorded) before starting. That way, I'll have plenty of time to work on upcoming projects and get a schedule going. That's going to be tricky early on. I'll also be making a new channel for these videos, rather than cluttering one channel with social networking and analysis. Any advice or questions are welcome. I want to give myself the best chance at success. If my hard work doesn't pay off, I'll get a bit depressed. 1 Check out my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5qXAcUzrizEHvorGalU5jg?feature=watch
Scootalove 10,689 August 30, 2013 Share August 30, 2013 Well I give you the bust of luck on your analysis. Here's some advice, most analyzers go in depth on the episode itself and focus on what the episode is about with how the moral addresses what the episode put across. That's if your going to review episodes of the show, and maybe have some evidence to back up facts. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Sleipnir Rising 115 August 30, 2013 Share August 30, 2013 What kind of classes did brony analyzers take that helped them to be more accurate in their reviews? Maybe something like journalism?
Dsanders 5,747 August 30, 2013 Share August 30, 2013 (edited) I don't know too much about how the brony analysis works, but let me just wish you the best of luck in having all that hard work pay off in the end. Pretty much anything can be achieved with enough effort, knowledge, and determination.(I sound like Rainbow Dash there lolol) Anyways, have no worries mate! If you know what you want to do, and if you know what approach you're going to take then I think it should all work out great for you. One thing that does help, and this is for YouTubers in general, is if you can speak clearly and fluently when you do your reviewing and analyzing. If you speak good, the watchers will love to listen. That's all I can give ya mate! I wish I knew more but you know what, I think you got this! I think this should go good for you. I wish you the best of luck. You already have my support! duidamasterXD 9,627 August 31, 2013 Share August 31, 2013 @Forlong, hiya, since you seem to be asking for help or input on how to make the analysis videos, I've gone and moved your thread to the Creative Resources section in Octavia's Hall. Just letting you know . Good luck!
Zygen 6,066 August 31, 2013 Share August 31, 2013 well, i don't know anything really about analysis or brony analysis's seeing as i've never done my own, but i wish you the best of luck! Try and make sure you spend quality time on your videos! People like quality typically over quantity. Other then that just good luck dude! 1 Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! Till Lindemann 8 August 31, 2013 Share August 31, 2013 Don't seem too condescending. Don't take it too seriously. Have fun doing it. That's really all to it, because it's a children's cartoon show.
Guest August 31, 2013 Share August 31, 2013 A good quality mic is a must, if you aren't spending at least $100 you'll end up sounding sub-par. You have to practice good microphone technique too, keep a fixed distance from the mic, adjust the gain to avoid spiking and use a pop filter. Scripts help, if you aren't scripting the piece at least make bullet points to remind you of the areas you want to cover so you don't miss anything. Also, have some people watch your videos before publishing so they can point out any trouble areas in the video or audio or parts that didn't hit the mark or weren't clear. This will all become second nature so don't worry if its a lot to adjust to at the start.

The audio came out fine and I had a decent script going, but my brother told me that I had to make my opinion clear rather than tell jokes (though the jokes were good ones). He's going to be more involved in these videos. Helping me to find a balance between humor and analysis.
