"Alright, whatever makes you happy I'll go with." Chase said nonchalantly, following  Storm to the table and sitting down. "They have great French Toast here, if you're not sure what you want. I'd never pass up some of their French Toast and extra bacon!" he said, handing Storm one of the menus sitting on the table and licking his lips in anticipation.

@,

"I see." Redwave said, raising a brow sceptically at the colts speech. "A word of advice to your good self 'Runner: I do not take orders, advice or requests from anypony. Least of all one who I know to have hurt a dear friend of mine." He said in a steady tone.

Maybe windy was a decent guy - maybe they would have gotten along had circumstances been different... '... or perhaps not...' he thought. As it was though, all Red knew was that this 'Windy Runner' had upset Minty - and that was enough to warrant animosity.

"Now, If you have no more 'advice' to provide, I appear to be required for the baking of what will no doubt become a most fine cake."

"Did he just... man, he did! He's ignoring my advice! Oooohhh... he's in for it!"

Stepping across Redwave's path to block him from going to his class, Windy scowled. "I don't know who you are, Redwave, and frankly, I don't care. But you'd be best served to listen to me and take my friendly advice. I only am trying to help. Otherwise, you might find me less than friendly. And just keep in mind, I'm a member of the most athletic and influential fraternity on campus. Cross me and you've crossed 75 powerful stallions. Just keep that in mind."

So saying, Windy turned to walk away, then turned back to get in one last barb. "Oh, and I know you'll just ignore me, but I'd recommend you take something less worthless than, heh, cooking. Study something that will actually get you somewhere in life, and you'll be thanking me in a decade." Windy snarked, turning to leave and whipping his tail in Redwave's face rudely.

@,

"Indeed? Perhaps when you flee to your - hopefully significantly more intimidating - sports friends, you might consider violence against somepony from a walk of life far beyond your reach to be unwise. Furthermore..." Red trailed off. Something he had messed before had caught his attention and he was having trouble focusing on what he was supposed to be saying.

"...Is there any particular reason that you're mane appears to have been soiled?"

Freezing up on the spot, Windy turned around to face Redwave. "Listen here Red. If you don't think I'm much of a threat to you, then just ask anypony on campus about Todd Stocks. He was a steroid junkie football player who ran this school's social order last year, and I went up against him and won. Which means I'm head honcho around here, and I've got the muscle to back it." he said, advancing on the stallion and flexing intimidatingly, while flaring his wings threateningly. "Now what's this about my mane being dirty? I just left my room, there's no way it could be dirty." he snarled aggressively.

"And thus the true colours are revealed!" Sneered the captain. "A common schoolyard bully trapped in an adults body! You would believe me to be impressed by your conquest of some loutish sports thug? Evidently my reputation does preceded me enough."

He snorted, pushing away from the wall to start making his way inside.

"Oh, and you have my apologies." He added. "On further reflection I see you seem to have covered your mane in some kind of grease intentionally."

Windy Runner

Windy was normally a calm tempered pony. Even when mad, he had a cold rage that kept him in control. He rarely had 'hot' anger towards anypony, viewing losing his temper as a sign of weakness. However, his resolve was slipping.

Once again stepping in front of Redwave and blocking his path, Windy leered at him. "First of all, its called hair gel Captain Poop Deck, and its a pretty dammed common thing for stallions here at Pony U to have in their manes. And second, Todd Stocks wasn't some average schoolyard bully. He was rich, dangerous, and his father's influence made him nigh on untouchable. However, I stood up to him to protect Mint- er, to protect someone close to me that he was trying to hurt. Don't you dare trivialize what I did!" he said, snorting angrily.

"I see. I suppose I should be quaking in fear now then? Truly this pony sounds far more imposing than any foe that I have faced down before: a chimera or dragon must be nothing next to the mighty Todd Stocks!"

Redwave glared at the pony blocking his path.

"I care not for either your presence or your attitude problems. Begone." He growled - wishing that he had not been forced to surrender his cutlass on entry to the university: of course this was no place to use it but it made a surprisingly efficient persuasion tool since giving up on using his charisma to influence others.

"I seriously don't think you want to make an enemy of me. Or you'll be wishing that you were just fighting a dragon!" Windy snarled, getting right into Redwave's face. "Also, I don't think I am the one with attitude problems Reddy. Remember, I was trying to be polite and nice, and you threw it back in my face. And yet I'm the bad guy here?" Windy said, a tone of accusation in his voice.

"You began this when you dared hurt Minty. Do not think to underestimate me, jock! Go run to your big 'powerful stallions' and leave the threats with ponies who wont stand up to them!"

Not the most diplomatic of answers. Of course, Red wasn't a fan of diplomacy - this was actually quite reserved by his standards.

"Hurt Minty.... HURT MINTY??? YOU THINK I HURT MINTY?!" Windy yelled, completely losing his temper. "Until yesterday, everything was going great with her. And then you know what happened? She dumped me. She dumped me. Out of the blue! For no reason! Not the other way around! I did nothing to hurt her! I could never hurt her! She hurt me. She tore...... she tore my heart out and punted it across the pitch." he said, losing his anger and energy as he talked, and by the end was talking in little more than a whimper. "You.... you think I could ever hurt her?" he whispered disbelievingly.

"For no reason. Of course -because you have given me absolutely no reason to doubt that statement, have you?" Red said, rolling his eyes. "A true paragon, a shining beacon of morality! Is that how you see yourself?"

He snorted in laughter, still seething and taking a step towards the colt who was still blocking his path.

"After the shameful way you have chosen to present yourself? Yes, I very much do believe that you would hurt her!"

"What.... what do you mean the way I've chosen to present myself? I came to you, with a hoof held out and a smile on my face. What more could you possibly want?" Windy muttered. "Look, I'm no saint. I know that. I'm no 'beacon of morality' or whatever you were calling me in jest. But look at me. Look at me and ask yourself if I really look like somepony who would hurt her." Windy said, locking eyes with Redwave, hoping the stallion would see his sincerity.

"I HATE having to grovel... but I can't have him thinking this.... I have to get him around to my way of thinking."

Knowing that she could trust this stallion, Storm scooted her chair closer to Chase. "You could pick what I'll get, I really don't care as long as it tastes super-duper amazing! Or, just good. I think I'd be able to trust your opinion," Storm smiled warmly.

Redwave watched the colt for a few more moments.

"Perhaps..." He scowled - this time mostly at the thought of how he was supposed to pay back Scribe and Cinder for this depravity. 'Bakery indeed...' He thought to himself.

"Time shall tell the truth: I shall speak with Minty when I see her again. Now if you would vacate, It would seem that I have a class to attend."

(Suppose it is about time I got to this, eh?)

"You do realize that it is your fault that we are late, dear brother?"

"I will neither accept, nor will I deny that accusation."

"How does that... How does that even make sense?"

"It's actually pretty simple, Serenity. It's kind of another way to say 'no comment'."

"Well.. yeah, but.. You could always just say 'no comment'. It's a lot easier, and less confusing than that, Saron. Not everything has to sound like a novel, you know." With that final sentence, the Unicorn mare reached up and knocked a hoof against the back of her brother's head, in a gentle, joking manner.

It still had her desired effect, however, as her brother stumbled slightly in his stride, and turned to face her, a greatly irritated look upon his features, "Really, Seren? Was that necessary?"

Serenity giggled slightly and stuck her tongue out at her brother, "It is always necessary with you, brother of mine!"

Saronyx gave a small growling noise, and took one step towards his sister, and in response, she danced back three. Saronyx rolled his eyes, and continued to walk. Serenity fell into stride beside him shortly after. The earlier conversation did not continue, and the siblings continued to walk in relative silence. They had been meant to arrive at the University the previous day, but circumstances had kept them from doing so.

Those circumstances having something to do with an incident involving Saronyx attempting a spell which involved flame, and it ending with burning the papers bearing the directions to the University. Not to mention his manuscripts, which essentially sent the writer into a frenzied state of mental recollection and rewriting. It wasn't entirely his fault, however. Serenity was also to blame for their being late, having attempted the same spell to one up her brother, and herself failing pretty miserably. Hers, however, may have nearly caught fire to their home.

Thus, was the life of the Visio Twins. Saronyx was the elder by only a few minutes, and easily the calmer and somewhat more rational of the pair. Ironically, his sister's name was the one that meant 'calm'. A stark contrast to her teasing personality and sense of humor. Further irony was in the fact that Saronyx was the 'dreamer' of the two. Where he was more interested in fictional pursuits of his own imaginary creations, and those of others, drawing much inspiration from works of history, Serenity was more interested in the reality of things. What she could get out of something, and how she could get it, and many more such things were often running through her mind.

Of course, she had her own personal pursuits. Where Saronyx was a writer, Serenity was a musician. Their cutie marks, much like their color palettes, were near identical. Saronyx's was what he described as a 'rift', that was being 'written' into place by a piece of charcoal. His interpretation of its meaning was his talent for writing, and 'opening windows to other realities through one's imagination'.

Serenity's interpretation of her own was much the same, but her own 'rift', bent almost to the shape of a treble clef, was constructed of many more smaller musical notes. Her interpretation, was of 'opening somepony's imagination through music'. While tormenting her brother, and any other stallion that somehow managed to catch her attention seemed to be what brought Serenity the most joy, music was actually something that excited her greatly.

Saron and Seren continued on their way, maintaining the pace of a steady trot through the city surrounding the University. The establishment in question was visible to the twins, but it was still a decent distance away. They had already missed the first day of classes, so it could only be hoped that they were allowed to enter. Serenity glanced up at her brother, "So, have any idea who they're going to be rooming you with?" She asked the darker stallion.

Saronyx shook his head, "Unfortunately, I do not. I seem to recall one mare losing our papers stating our room assignments before I had a chance to read them, and we will not receive another copy until we get to the University," he gave his lighter hued sister a smug look, "I could only wonder who that particular mare is..."

She scoffed, brushing her light chestnut mane - with its darker brown off-center streak - from her eyes, and gave her brother a briefly offended look, "Oh shove it! You're a novel writer, Saron! I thought you liked mystery and plot twists and all that jazz? Aren't those papers kind of spoilers?" Now it was her turn to look smug.

The darker hued Unicorn stallion rolled his silvery eyes, "Touche." And he would say no more. The walk continued on, in silence.

(fairly ambiguous for a first post, but eh.)

"This is as good as its going to get with this dunce.... for now... I'll be sure to converse with him again in the near future..."

"O-okay... Thank you. I'll see you later. Enjoy your, um, cooking class." Windy said timidly, then walked off slowly.

"Super duper amazing, eh? Well, in that case, we should get the deluxe French Toast platter! Its so big, we can just split it." he said, silently noting how close the mare was sitting to him and smiling subtly. He quickly placed the order then returned his attention to the mare next to him. "So Storm, I don't think I know a thing about you! Is this your first year here, or are you a sophomore? What are you studying?"

"Sure! That sounds great!" Storm smiled at the stallion. "Um, this is my first year here; I just transferred a bit of a while ago. I heard good things about this college, so I decided to go here. I'm.. actually not so sure what I'm going to study yet. I need to have suggestions," Storm said thoughtfully. This was probably the first thing she said that was sane.

Bubble Burst!

Bubble somehow managed to return to her room - finding it empty - and after a short while was once again content with her appearance, despite looking scarcely different to how she had before.

"I hope Storm's okay, I shouldn't have left her there..." She thought out loud as she looked over the empty room - the griffin appeared to have been moved as well.

"Huh, that's a shame..." She mumbled cheerfully as she left again: intending to look for her friend. At least, until she was distracted again.

---------------

Redwave.

For all the problems Redwave had with the class: the one which most frustrated him was the revelation that the mare who had hounded him across campus the previous day transpired to not be a mere receptionist, but his tutor.

On the other hoof - he endured the class without any (major) incidents. A 'debate' regarding the correct flour to use might have not been an epic struggle of life and death - not least of all armed with a spoon - but it kept him from completely losing interest. After giving a stark warning to the mare beside him that any culinary talent she may have witnessed was not to leave the room under any circumstance (she responded by laughing... he assumed his point was made), he departed.

"Suggestions? You want suggestions from me?" he asked, laughing. "I'm not exactly the best person to get a suggestion on this sort of thing from. Most of the Deltas just take the easiest classes they can at the business school; they're too busy with sports to do anything else. Me, I'm studying bio engineering. I have all my books and lecture notes on disks, and I just listen to them when I run at workouts. All the other dudes think I'm nuts for studying something so hard and running X-Country, and sometimes I think I am too, but whatever.

But as for what you want to do, what is your passion?"

Blaze was pretty sure that he was done putting hisface in the toilet. He had no idea how long he had been sitting there, or how long it had been since he had stopping throwing uo. Time flies when you don't post. He oushed himself up and pulled over his wheelchair, cleaning off his face and equipping a pair of swanky shades before leaving his apartment on a quest for adventure! Or mares. Both were good.

"My passion? Well, to make ponies smile!" Storm chirped, smiling big. "I guess I could do a bit of psychology.. It's what everypony expects me to do anyway!" Storm said, hopping around in her seat.

Minty

"I wonder how Windy and Redwave are getting along. Probably horribly.." Minty thought to herself, trotting back towards her room. Well, was. She just found out she was starving. She made sure that Windy was out of sight when she snuck back down the street to get breakfast at a diner until she saw him across the street. She made a tiny yelp and made a beeline for a bush.

"Well, don't just do what everypony expects or wants you to do. You're your own pony. You have to blaze your own trail. But whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll be great at it!" he said happily, reaching over and grabbing her hoof in his without thinking.

Windy Runner

"I can't believe she has him convinced I hurt HER!! The nerve of that mare... And would you look at that. Think of the she-devil, and she appears..." Windy thought angrily, spying Minty across the street near a diner. As he noticed her, she dashed for a nearby bush. "Typical cut and run response of a coward...." he muttered angrily, heading over to the spot where she had hidden. Pulling aside the bush, he glared at her angrily. "Minty, come out of there. We have to talk. Now."

"Well, there is a pretty good program here. You'd do well in it." Chase said, scooting closer to Storm in the booth, to the point where their bodies were lightly touching.

Windy Runner

"First of all, look at me when I'm talking to you!" Windy said angrily, before taking a couple of deep breaths and calming down slightly. "Sorry. I'm not here to yell at you. I'm here because I want answers. I just talked to your new coltfriend Red, and he said that you told him that dumped you, instead of the other way around. Which makes me the bad guy in all of this. Why did you tell him that when you were the one to break up with me out of the blue, at our one year anniversary?! You weren't the one who got hurt... I was!" Windy muttered bitterly.
