Anti Brony Friends?

Well I have three friends who like MLP (though not as much as I do)

One other friend didn't bother to know why, when she found out we watch it.

The last reacted quite badly. She asked "Why do you like ponies? That's so weird! You need to watch stuff our age group watches,". She looked so disgusted, it made me feel bad for a split second.

And I said "Don't get your panties in wad," and continued my day . pinkieshrugplz.png?5

None that I know of. I have a friend that watches the show, and another who I think watches the show (probably not). The rest don't really care.

The closest thing would be a kid who calls the show girly, but he's more of an acquaintance that a friend. (I don't think he's even heard of a brony, though.)

I know three bronies offline (old friend, co-worker, classmate). Everyone else I know is silent on the topic of MLP, but when two of my non-brony friends found out I was a brony, they facepalmed and called me weird. Fortunately, nobody I know rages against MLP or bronies, even if they don't like it.

I am a closet brony, so very few people offline know I enjoy MLP FiM.

I have a group of about 6 very close friends and 1 of them absolutely hates the fact i'm a brony but of course hes ultra conservative to so i mostly expected it from him. Then the 2 brothers of our group don't really mind it to much and make an occasional joke about it. Then theres one of my two best friends (the other being one of the brothers) who says he doesn't like it but he watches it whenever I put it on my TV and does not ask me to take it off or put on something else (TV Netflix) like all the others do, so either hes a really good friend or has actually warmed up to the show (I talk about it a lot and have shown them some music and 2 episodes). Then theres the last two, ones a girl and the others the nicest possible guy you will ever meet. Both of them really don't care and the nice guy who we will call "Leroy" actually asks me if i'm excited for season 4 a lot (i bring it up every other day for a countdown which gets the routine *facepam* from friends). Why do I not care as to why everyone knows and why do i bring it up so much knowing i'll get teased? Well i basically had to explain this to my conservative friend because he did get a little annoying about it. I basically told them because i love to see my friends laugh, I realize the blatant pinkie reference, but i really do so whenever I bring it up they all make a funny joke and laugh at my expense which i'm fine with considering i do to them a lot as well. They kind of figured out because i had mlp wallpapers, my youtube (which were all really into) has a giant mlp playlist, i'm always on the forums when their over unless were doing something, and i'm constantly bringing it up. Overall its definitely made our friendships better and funnier.

My cousin is disgusted by bronies because she thinks they're all perverts.  She said it's ok for me since I'm a girl :P

A lot of other people I'm around like MLP though, or at least are not judgmental about it.

Everyone in my real life is aware that I like MLP but it really doesn't come up in conversation and I really don't express my love for the show unless they ask me about it. I did open up and say I liked MLP but that conversation didn't really go anywhere so from now on I don't talk about it unless it's already being talked about. ;)

I don't have any that are anti-BRONY but there are many who will never understand the brony fandom or their love of MLP but I don't hide that I like MLP from anyone either. It's pointless to hide it (though there's no reason to flaunt it either) as it's just another show on TV that created a fandom that we happen to be a part of. There's nothing special about being a brony just because there's a name for a member of the fandom.

I have a friend who is a brony, and yet claims that he HATES other bronies?

He likes everything about MLP, but tells me that other bronies are fedora wearing, neckbearded manbabies, that are destroying our fandom with their horrible rule 34 pics!

Not totally uncommon. There are quite a few bronies out there who actually hate other people in the fandom and think they take things too far.

I feel like being anti-brony is very weird, not to mention quite asinine. Watching MLP isn't the only thing I do with my time and of the friends I have IRL only one of them is a brony so the rest of them don't like hearing about it. So we came to an understanding. Don't talk bad about it, and I won't talk about it at all. They tried me like a week into the agreement by making fun of the show, so I started spamming them with videos and posting stuff on their facebook and it became all I talked about until they promised not to mess with me anymore. A good, true, genuine friend will accept you no matter what. And if they, don't then hey, I'll be your friend guys XD

Two of my squadmates on my airsoft team wouldnt be classified as Anti-bronies, its only the three of us and im the only one who likes MLP. they dont harrass me about it...they just dont like it. they know i like it...but they are cool with it. my younger brother knows it too...but he is openly against the show and the idea of being a brony...i think he is curious about it though, he just wont admit it to me and my other brother or to himself.

Nearly all of my girl friends are anti-brony. Or maybe just anti-pony. Honestly, a lot of the time I don't like them very much. They can be nice a lot of the time and then turn around and be jerks. I had the most annoying argument with them over ponies a few days ago. They had the most generic views. They wouldn't even let me talk. I would talk and one of them would yell "WE'RE RIGHT AND YOUR WRONG. DEAL WITH IT." She was most likely kidding, but it was still annoying as heck.

Later I asked them why they thought guys liked it if it was that bad and a girl answered "They're gay."

And I was like "seriously?"

"It makes sense to me."

I told them they can't judge it until they see it and one said they had. But then she kept on talking about how all the ponies were girly. I said Rainbow Dash wasn't girly and she was like "Yeah huh, Rainbow Dash is super girly!" And talked about how G3 is better.
