The light from dawn was trickling through the curtains as Pinkamena woke up. She rubbed her eyes and proceeded to get up out of bed. She fixed her covers and left the bedroom. She quietly walke over to Scootaloo's room and peeked in the door. She saw Scootaloo still sound asleep in her bed. She smiled and silently shut the door, heading back downstairs. She went into the kitchen and started to make breakfast. Some oatmeal for Scootaloo, a few pieces of toast for Equinox, some sausage and buttered bread for her.

Equinox woke up and rubbed his eyes. "Mourning already...damn that night was short" Equinox said as he got out of bed and looked out the window and saw...a rainboom"? "How...is that even possible" Equinox asked himself. "I thought Rainbow Dash was dead" Equinox said as he went to tell Pinkamena this

Pinkamena was finishing cooking and began to set up the plates. She poured the oatmeal into a bowl, put the pieces of toast on a plate with a small dish of butter, and threw her food onto a plate. She brought all the dishes to the table and was going to wake Scootaloo up when she met Equinox at the base of the stairs. "Good morning." She said with a smile.

"Listen...we have a confusion...I saw a sonic rain boom outside" Equinox said opening the window showing the rain boom outside. "What in Lunas name is going on" Equinox said as he saw Rainbow Dash stuffed in the basement. "This is odd...really odd" Equinox said

Scootaloo woke up to her window shuddering for a little while. She slowly got up and decided to investigate what had done it. She looked outside and couldn't believe her eyes. She was seeing what was the aftermath of a sonic rainboom. 'But Rainbow Dash is dead. How could this happen?' She thought. "Pinkamena!?"she called out.

"This...is either a paradox or I'm just hallucinating" Equinox said as he really hoped he was hallucinating. "If I'm not then she needs to die...again" Equinox said as he looked at the rainbow. "Why is she still alive" Equinox asked as he heard Scootaloo. "Come on down Scoots I was slready telling her whats going on

Scootaloo came running down the steps and nearly tripped on the last few steps. Stumbling to regain composure, she quickly went up to the others. "Did you see what I saw?! How is this even possible?! Isn't Rainbow Dash Dead?!" She kept rambling on.

 

"It seems you aren't hallucinating." She said to Equinox. She walked over and grabbed the spoon from the oatmeal, walked over to Scootaloo, and stuck the spoon in her mouth to stop her rambling. "Now, let's get to the bottom of this."

"First off I am going to head to Cloudsdale to see if it's not somepony else that can do the rainboom finally" Equinox said as he ate a piece of toast and looked out the window. "But first let me check on something" He said as he went down into the basement and to check and see if a stuffed Rainbow Dash hasn't been revived or given life somehow

"Alright. I'll check around Ponyville. But first, I'll clean this up." Pinkamena said as she quick downed some sausage and a slice of buttered bread. She grabbed the rest of the dishes and brought them into the kitchen, rinsed them off, and threw them in the dishwasher. She walked over to the top of the basement stairs. "Find what you are looking for?" She called down.

"Yes I did Rainbow Dashes stuffed corpse is still in here...thankfully" Equinox said as he wondered about something. "Time to head to Cloudsdale" Equinox said as he used the cloud walking spell and teleported to Cloudsdale. "Okay so where to look" Equinox said as he walked around looking for anyone that would be like Rainbow Dash

"There goes that possibility then." She said to herself as she turned around and headed back upstairs. "Scoots, grab some stuff. We're going out." She said to Scootaloo. Pinkamena walked into her room and threw her saddlebags of her bed. She packed a scarf for warmth if they were out past dark, she hid some bladed weapons in the bags so she would be without some protection, and finally, a picture of her and Scootaloo when they celebrated her birthday. She smiled and threw on her saddle bags and went back downstairs to the waiting Scootaloo. "Ready?" She asked Scootaloo.

Equinox walked around Cloudsdale and saw a lot of pegasi swarming around something. "What the hell is going on here" Equinox asked as a pegasus looked at him. "Rainbow Dash is back after how long  it has been" The pegasus answered causing Equinoxes eyes to widen. "How the hell is that possible I saw Rainbos Dashes stuffed corpse...this doesnt make sense..." Equinox said to himself as he saw Rainbow Dash smiling at eveypony around her. "I need to go" Equinox said as he teleported down to the ground

Pinkamena and Scootaloo walked around town looking for any rumors or gossip. When they turned the corner, they saw a group gathered around the café. They went up to the group to see if they could learn anything.

 

"Did you hear? Rainbow Dash is back!" "You serious?! I wondered where that sonic rainboom came from!" "Where is she now?" "I heard she is in Cloudsdale right now." "Ahhhh, I can't see her then. I wish I had wings."

 

Pinkamena started to walk away and Scootaloo hurried to catch up. When they got of earshot, Scootaloo spoke up. "How is this possible?! She's dead!" Scootaloo said freaking out. "Hush up. I don't know how this is happening, but we need to see it for ourselves.

"I need to figure out whats going on cause she shouldnt be alive" Equinox said to himself as he was heading to Twilights till he was stopped by Rainbow Dash. "Hey where are you going I come back after so long and you dont even say hi to the greates flyer in Equestria" Rainbow Dash said looking at Equinox

Pinkamena and Scootaloo were walking down the street when Scootaloo stopped and pointed. "Isn't that Equinox? Who is he being stopped by... eep." She said as she was pulled away into an alley by Pinkamena." What was that for?"

 

"Quiet Scootalo." Pinkamena said as she peered around the corner. "Hmmm, so it is true. But, how?" She continued to watch as she tried to understand how this is possible.

"Uh yeah I was in a hurry to somewhere important" Equinox said backing away slowly. "Whats more important then saying hi to your marefriend" Rainbow Dash said. "wait...WHAT" Equinox said as he teleported far away into everfree. "Thats not Rainbow Dash...no way thats Rainbow Dash I hate her" Equinox said to himself. "Well that was weird" Rainbow Dash said as she flew off. "Okay so first shes dead, then shes back, and now she thinkis she my mare friend...what the buck is going on" Equinox said as he sat down on the ground. "Then again she didnt even seem like the real Rainbow Dash...but the odd thing is" Equinox started having photogenic memory remembering what she looked at. "That Rainbow Dash had different colors in her mane while the real one didnt have the color white in her mane...odd" Equinox said as he made a book appear. "I hope what I am thinking isnt trus if so then we have a problem"

Pinkamena was watching from the alley, listening in on what they were saying. As Pinkamena listened, she heard Rainbow Dash call herself his marefriend. She then saw Equinox back off and instantly teleport away. "Weird. Why would she say that?" She muttered to herself. "Scoots, head back to the store. I am going to see if I can't learn more." She said as she started to tail Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash flew to Twilights and knocked on the door. "Hold on" Twilight said as she put the book she was reading away and opened the door to see Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow Dash its been so long where have you been these few years" Twilight asked. "I have been busy with stuff" Rainbow Dash said as she looked around. "Hey have you seen Equinox I wanted to give him something but he left" Rainbow Dash said. "No I havent seen him...Also Rainbow um why is the colours of your mane different" Twilight asked noticing the difference. "No Reason I just thought of changing it up a bit" Rainbow Dash answered. "Well it was nice meeting you again Twilight" Rainbow said as she headed off.

Trying to keep up with Rainbow Dash was a chore, but Pinkamena managed. As they were reaching the library, she saw Rainbow Dash land and go up to the library door. Pinkamena quickly hid behind a bush that was nearby. Twilight came out and started talking to Rainbow Dash. When Twilight mentioned hair color, Pinkamena peeked through the bushes to see what that was about. She looked at Rainbow Dash and noticed that her hair was different. Still listening, Dash had asked about Equinox again. 'Why does she want to see him so badly?' She thought as she continued to trail her again as she flew off.

Equinox came out from where he was and was met with a hoof to the face causing him to fall down. "What...the hell" Equinox said as he looked up. "Thats for knocking me out" Lyra said as she left. "Random stuff has happened to day I just want to go home" Equinox said rubbing hi forehead.

 

 

 

Meanwhile Rainbow Dash has stopped by Carasoule Boutique, Fluttershys cottage and left since there was no answer, then Sweet Apple Acres then stopped at Sugar Cube Corner. Each pony that she visited questioned about her mane and she gave the same answer and they gave the answer that they haven't seen Equinox. "Maybe Pinkie Pie has seen him somewhere"

Pinkamena followed Rainbow Dash all over Ponyville, laughing in her head when they were at Fluttershy's cottage. She continued and saw they were heading towards Sugarcube Corner. She would have to confront Rainbow Dash. "I hate doing this." She muttered to herself. She ruffled up her hair so it was poofy and she started hopping towards the store like she was returning home. "Hiya Dashie. Long time no see." Pinkamena tried to say in an upbeat voice.

"Oh Hi Pinkie Pie its has been a while since we talked... um have you seen Equinox around anywhere I need him for something" Rainbow Days asked as she knew what she wanted with Equinox. "I met him but he teleported away before I asked him to come with me to the factory" Rainbow said

"I haven't seen an Equinox around here before." She lied. "But if I do meet him any Equinox, I'll tell 'em that you were looking around for 'em." She said as she opened the Sugarcube Corners's front door. "I gotta big order of cookies I have to bake, so I will see yah later. Bye." Pinkamena closed the door behind her and her hair went straight again. "That was close. Also, what is the factory?"

"Okay.." Rainbow said as she waited till the doors are closed. "Where ever you are at Equinox I will find you....besides your next to be in a rainbow" Rainbow Dash hissed quietly as she saw Equinox in the distance.

"There you are" Rainbow said as she flew towards Equinox and knocked him out. She then proceeded to pick him up and take him to Cloudsdale

After Pinkamena shut the door, she went over to the window and peeked out. She saw Rainbow Dash talking to herself and fly away. She was surprised when she saw Rainbow Dash stop in front of a stallion, knock him out, and fly off towards Cloudsdale. Trying to see who the stallion was, Pinkamena squinted and stumbled back with a gasp. "Shit. That was Equinox." She said. "Scootaloo! Let's go now!" Pinkamena opened the door and srarted running after Rainbow Dash with Scootaloo right behind her.
