The train turned the corner and Canterlot was now in view. Pinkamena woke up when she leaned too far forward and fell onto the floor. "Ugh... Must have dozed off." She said as she got back up and looked out of the window. The train was going through the overpass tunnel that surrounded the city. "Alright. I'm here." She said as the train pulled into the station. The train docked and she grabbed her bags and got off the train. "Now to speak with the princesses." She headed off in the direction of the castle.

"Well...now what" I said as I sat on the floor. "My life...is in ruins" I said. "Don't be sad Equinox your life isn't in ruins" Twilight sai as she helped him up. "I try to stop this...I get rid of Deranged and Arachnid...and now I have Arachnids spirit bound to me..: He said as he looked at Twilight.

Pinkamena came up to the castle and was about to go through the gates, but was stopped by a guard. "Stop. No entry allowe... Hng." The guard started, but Pinkamena hit him in the back of the neck, knocking him out. "I don't have time for this." She muttered as she went into the castle. She avoided the patroling guards and slipped into a room. She looked around a saw the room was decorated with dark paint and black curtains, with stars and a moon on the ceiling.

"Hello there Pinkamena" Luna said sensing her enter. "How has Equinox been lately" She asked her as she turned to look at Pinkamena. "Did you kill Deranged yet" She asked.

"Twilight I'm heading to Canterlot I am going to talk to Celestia now" He said

Pinkamena saw Luna turn towards her and greet her. "Hello Princess Luna. No, we haven't killed Deranged, and Equinox is the whole reason I came here to speak with you and your sister. Just like Deranged had done, an alicorn by the name of Arachnid has bound his soul to Equinox and his causing chaos on his sanity." She explained the situation to Luna.

"That is a name I thought I would not hear in forever" Luna said as she grabbed a book. "Me, Tia, and Arachnid used to be friends when we were little but he turned evil. At first there were colts and fillies disappearing or found dead with a weapon through their necks" Luna explained. "This happened a few years till we found out it was him doing this the whole time. I got sick at the sight so me and Tia sealed him away in a cave hoping he would never come free again" Luna said

 

"Thats when we met him and he tried to kill Scootaloo" Equinox said coming into the room. "We thought he was dead" He said

 

"But his soul got bounded to you and now its causing your sanity to slip" Luna said surprised Equinox is here

Pinkamena jumped in surprise when Equinox walked into the room. "How did you get here..." she stopped herself. "Oh yeah, teleportation." She said. She looked over to Luna. "So, can you release Arachnid's hold on Equinox and possibly destroy the soul?" She asked Luna.

"We can...but it will put Equinox in a coma...for how long I don't know" Luna said as she waited for Celestia to get here. "Tell her to get here now" Equinox said as he heard hoofsteps. "Speak of the goddess" Equinox said as he saw Celestia. "I thought this meeting would wait a bit longer but since it is something else..." Celestia sighed

"Hello miss sunny butt." Pinkamena said as Celestia came into the room. "Who am I kidding? I can't be making jokes right now." She turned to Equinox. "Are you okay with going through with this?" She asked Equinox with a look of worry on her face. "It might be a long time before you recover."

"If it gets rid of Arachnid then fine by me not many will miss me" He said as he looked at Celestial. "You owe me when I wake up" Equinox said as he stood still and the princesses started casting the spell. "Good night see you when I wake up" Equinox said as he was hit with the spell and Arachnids soul came out and died.

Pinkamena watched as the two sisters casted their spell on Equinox, causing Arachnid's soul to be destroyed. When the spell was over, she saw Equinox falter and collapse. She quickly sprinted up to him and caught him before he hit the ground. "Gotcha." She said as she picked him up. Pinkamena looked at the two sisters. "Thank you." She said as she started to carry Equinox to the infirmiry in the castle.

Twilight came up into the infirmary. "Is he...okay" she asked seeing Equinox in a coma. "So he did it..." She said as Deranged took over. "Well...he's finally done it....he would get rid of that spirit just to be with you" Deranged said not paying attention to what he said

Pinkamena was sitting next to Equinox's in the infirmiry and looked up when Twilight came in. "He should be okay." She said to Twilight. She noticed Deranged's comment when he switched over and Pinkamena instinctively punched him in the shoulder. "If he didn't do this, who knows what havoc could have happened."

"Well...at least it's over now" Deranged said taking the necklace off of Equinox. "I never knew he would take this risk though" He said. "Well he cares about her Deranged so I can see why" Twilight said to Deranged. "He has been through hell and back thats for sure" Deranged said

Pinkamena sighed and got up from sitting next to the side of Equinox's bed. "I am going to go and get something to eat." She said to Twilight and Deranged. She took a look at Equinox and started to slowly walk out of the infirmary to go the cafeteria and get some food for herself.

"So I'm in a coma...great" He said as he walked in the realm of his mind. "Never thought I would see this...looks like a combination of dark, horror, and class" He said looking around as he found a colt sitting in a chair. "Who are you" Equinox asked as the colt looked at him. "I'm Selene...a part of you that wants out again" Selene said. "What do you mean again" Equinox asked

Pinkamena walked down the hallway and came to a "T" in the corridors. She knew the left path would take her to the cafeteria, but she turned right instead. She kept walking and soon stopped at a gate. She pushed it open without taking the time to see where it led. When she went through the gate and closed it behind her, she looked and realized she was in one of the castle's gardens.

"Remember when you lost your sanity when you fought Deranged and then again against Arachnid" Selene said walking up to Equinox. "I had some control but once it ended I had to leave...I want out again..." Selene said as he looked at Equinox as a black mist surrounded him.

Pinkamena began strolling around the garden, looking at the many flowers that decorated it. She found a patch of grass between a group of blue roses and dafodils, and layed down, looking at the sky. She was thinking about what would happen, now that Arachnid was gone. She raised her hoof into the sky, as if to touch it.

"I guess you are right..but I'm not allowing you to turn me insane when you want" Equinox said. "No...just when you are about to die or you think you have lost everything thats all I want" Selene said as Equinox thought for a moment. "Alright fine" Equinox said as the mist went into Equinox. "Good we are now one" Selene said

Pinkamena laid there, staring at the sky, for about an hour before she decided to get up. He went back into the hallway and turned left back towards the infirmary where Equinox was. She got to the infirmary and checked in with the nurse to see if anything new has come up. Hearing from the nurse that nothing has changed, she went back into the medical bay and sat back down next to Equinox.

"He still haven't woken up....I thought he was stronger then this" Deranged said. "Well we need to just wait then" Twilight said as she left the room.

 

"How long till I wake up" Equinox sake Selene. "About 2 months" Selene explained

Pinkamena sat ther for a little while and made the decision to head back home.

Two months have passed and life had mostly gone back to the way it was. The store was booming with customers. "Scoots, how's those cookies coming?" Pinkamena yelled from the counter. "They just finished!" Scootaloo replied from the kitchen. Pinkamena quick looked at the calender. This was supposed to be the day she went up to Canterlot to visit Equinox, but she was just too busy to go today.

Equinox woke up and blinked a few times before sitting up to look around. "Been two months" Equinox said as he rubbed his eyes and yawned. "I can't believe I slept two months in a coma..." He said as he looked around and noticed he could see still. "How come I got both my eyes still" He asked himself

The rush at the store had finally died down. Pinkamena sat there, tired from the days work. She looked over at the clock, hoping it was still early enough to go, but it was too late to go. So, she decided to close up shop for the rest of the day and go upstairs to take a shower to clean herself up.
